How can I get 1920x1200 with an external display?

I'm trying to run my MacBook Pro on 10.6 on an HP L2335 LCD monitor using a MiniDisplay-to-VGA adaptor but I cannot get the monitor to run in 1920x1200. I've tried mirrored displays, extended displays, with the MBP open, closed, but I can't seem to get 1920x1200 to show up under display options which is causing the screen to appear slightly blurry. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Since you have SRX installed, if you click on the "Export EDID" button you will get the monitor's display driver data in a readable text file. You can see if the HP lists the supported resolution or not in the driver.
You may need to purchase the Apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter in order to get it to work right. You should get a better picture from DVI as a bonus for going that route.

I would like to know the answer to that one. I realized this was happening just after upgradeing my iOS to 6. Then when I looked up my purchase date, I was about 5 days past my one year warranty. How is it connected? firewire or usb?
When connected it should appear in system profiler.
blue apple > about this mac > more info button. Click on the hardware line. It has a little triangle in front of the work hardware.
look for firewire or usb.

Yo Chris. I've been following your answers to different threads and quite frankly, you're very keen in answering everybody regarding this stupidity that Apple has brought upon its customers. Kudos to you. But the problem is, most of the time, in some devices, your solution doesn't work because the NONE option is not there. The same goes for me.
Meanwhile, I found a temporary workaround for the iPhone 4s, iPad 2 and iPod Touch 4th Gen.
Register a free Apple ID from the iCloud Settings.
Go to Settings>iCloud>Account>Tap Payment Information on the Storage Plan Category.
Fill in the other boxes and choose "None" on Credit Card Information.
That's it! Hope I helped those who still couldn't find the "None" Option.
Must be running IOS 5.0.1 though, else there would be no iCloud.

I have some fields which I have set up which have help/instructions for completing the information required. This is a questionnaire. When I save it as a pdf, the instsructional text does not display. I would really appreciate if someone can tell me how to fix this.

Adobe is moving from the purchase of a license for their software to the renting of it. I'm old school so I'd prefer a perpetual license. But you already have a subscription to Illustrator so I guess it'd be advisable to look into whether expanding the subscription to include other software will save you some money. Also I remember something about Adobe adding features to its Cloud version which aren't also added to the licensed version and a different way of handling updates and upgrades. Indeed, Adobe states that CS 6 has reached the end of the road. So if you're going to stay with Adobe, you may very well be stuck.
I'd suggest spending some time in the Adobe Communities. You'll likely find people complaining about choices they've made that you'll have to make too. Let them be the beta testers.

If you bought it from E-Bay, then you have no idea when it was originally purchased.
The warranty begins on the date of original purchase.
Apparently the one year warranty, from the date of original purchase, has expired.

I have a 1 terabyte external drive. When I tried to reformat it, it went to 10.0 GB. How can I get it back to factory settings? Right now it's not much more then a paper weight. Does anyone know where I can download a user manual from? I really need help on this one.

Using Export for Kindle, how can I get black body text to display inverse (white on black) on Kindle

I'm using ID 5.5 on a Vista system.
I've created a book file with some colored fonts and anchored gif images. Basic paragraph (body text) is black. The "Export to Kindle" mobi file displays fine on Kindle for PC and Kindle Previewer.
Kindle PC alows viewing on white, sepia or black background. Works fine on white and sepia, but when the black color mode is selected (night viewing option) the black text does not display as white text. What can I do to have the black text automatically change to white?
While trying to find a solution, I created an epub file of the book and, using Calibre, converted it to mobi. When this mobi file is loaded into Kindle PC, the black text does automatically change to white when viewed on the black screen. I would use this method of creating the mobi, but there are several other issues that make this process unsatisfactory (other text colors don't work well, image transparency losses, etc).
So, how can I get the black to white text thing using only Export to Kindle?
