How can I get rid of email address not in use

I have an email address which I used to set up my Apple ID. That address is now disabled so I have gone to my details and updated them to the new address. But I can't sign in to iCloud or update my apps as it keeps telling me to sign in using the now disabled email address. In iTunes I can change it to my new address, but not apps or iCloud. When I go to reset the password I am asked to change the password in my new address but that's not what I want to do. I've tried all the different passwords I can think of when using the old address but none work. Also I selected personal details rather than email as it would never get through, obviously, and so put in my birthday. But they say my birthday date is not in their records! What? So I go to my details and there it is, in black and white, exactly what I was typing in! This is driving me insane. Is there any way I can delete my original, without having to put in the password for that ID? I really hope someone can help me. I did see a section somewhere which said did I want to delete an old email address but again, I had to put in the password for that email address and I DON'T HAVE IT!
By the way, I am an OAP. So I would appreciate it if anyone who can help makes it easy to understand! Many thanks.

After you sign in with the old ID and are presented with the option to keep the information on the iPad, you should say yes to that. Then you should be able to delete the account on the device. After you delete the account, you can - or you should be able to - sign in with the new Apple ID.
I tried these very same steps on my Pod Touch and it worked exactly the way that I'm describing. When you sign in again with the new ID, you will be given the option to merge Reminders, Bookmarks, Etc, with those in iCloud.com. I selected the option to merge all of the information. Nothing was duplicated and everything was exactly as it was before I deleted the iCloud account.
So ... sign into your new ID in Settings>iTunes & App Store. Tap the old ID and sign out. Then sign in with the new ID. Then delete the old iCloud account like I explained above and then sign in with the new Apple ID, all of your purchased content and iCloud content should be good to go.

How can I remove a single email address not in my contact list

Hi all. Whenever I go to send a new email, and type in a specific letter, an email address pops up in my choices that is not in my contacts list in my phone, or through mail. It's an email address of someone I emailed a LONG time ago and will probably never email again. HOW can I get rid of this already???

I've also noticed that an email address that I've only used once, and may never use again, stays in memory and I can't find a wal to delete it either. I'll keep an eye on this thread hoping for a solution myself.

I am trying to change or add the email address which is attached to my itunes account. I keep getting a notice saying email address is already verified for another Apple ID. Im sure its one of my devices. How can I get my current email address added?

My itunes account is attached to an email account that I no longer have and cannot retrieve. I have been having trouble with purchases made to my itunes account and want to view my purchases. The support center said that they would email me the purchase history. However, I don't have that email address. When I go to change my email address to my current one, I get a message in red saying that "the email address is already verified for another Apple I.D." I'm sure it is one of my devices as we have 4 ipods and 2 iphones. How can I get my account to use my current email address? If one of my devices was registered using my current email address as it apparently was, do I need to figure out which device that is and remove the email address from that account? I'm so confused. I just want ALL my devices to use my current email address. I need to replace the old email address with my current one. How do I do that?

Your best bet would be to try resetting the password to the account that you would like to use via iForgot
Once you log in to that account change the email address to anything, it can even be fake its just a placeholder
After you do that you will be free to change your old email address on your appleID to the new one that is now free to be used as it is no longer attached to the other account.

How can I view/sort by email address not be the sender's name

These days people often send emails from different devices and sometimes their display name is different on each. When I receive an email from them it may have their display name, or if this has not been set on say their phone I just see their email address. But when I try to search or sort it does not look at the underlying email address just the display name and so it appears like some of the emails are missing. Is there any way to view messages by the underlying email address and not their display name or what has been saved to my address book.

How can I get rid of obsolete addresses that come up in auto fill in iCal?

I want to send an invitation to a calendar event. I start typing the person's name and autofill always comes up with an obsolete address first, then the correct one. I did a search of this problem and one suggestion was to move the plist file to desktop and restart, that didn't work. Surely there is a solution to this problem? I am running OSX 10.7.5 on an iMac (2007). Thanks for any help!

In iOS 7, how can I easily specify an email address to be used as a FaceTime favorite?

Something seems to have changed for the worse in iOS 7. Under iOS 6, it used to be possible to select various "identifiers" (email, telephone number) to be used for FaceTime for the same person, and these could be labeled differently. In iOS 7, when adding FaceTime favorites, one is given the option of adding the *contact* for FaceTime or FaceTime audio, but it isn't clear how to add a specific identifier for a contact.

Doing so will cause issues. If you send out mail which to an outside server appears to be non existent, mail may be rejected and you may even be blacklisted.
You can remove the account from WGM and add a role account as an alias send to /dev/null. This will look to the outside world like an existing address, but simply be discarded on your system. You should however include a working address in your mailings for people to be able to respond.
Assuming you use local domains, edit /etc/postfix/aliases and add:
noreply: /dev/null
(you can change noreply with the sender used in your PHP apps, but I'd probably change the PHP apps to use noreply as this signals to people receiving your mails that this address is unattended).
When done, issue:
sudo postalias /etc/postfix/aliases
sudo newaliases
sudo postfix reload

HT3576 How can I get rid of "Connect to itunes to use push notifications" pop-ups. I just had to replace my iPhone 5 and when I did a restore from backup, most of my apps will not let me in becuase I cannot get past the"connect to itunes..." message.

My iPhone 5 was distroyed so I replaced it with a new iPhone 5 yesterday. I did a restore from a backup that i had performed a week ago. When I tried to use the phone several of my apps would not let me in becuase they continually gave me a popup message "Connect to Itunes to use push notifications". I click ok and the popup comes back. I have shut my phone off several times. I have complete closed the apps several times. I have even deleted the apps from my phone and reinstalled. All to no avail. Please help - does anyone know how to fix this?

Yes - I connected my phone to my computer / Itunes and went into the apps section, but from there I have no idea how to manage the push notifications. I even tryied going into itunes that is installed on my phone. I still cannot find anyplace to manage these popups. I have also gone into settings - notifiations - and tried turning all notifications for these apps all off but that didnt work either. Any guidance is MUCH appreciated - Im not sure where to go from here.
