How can I post data (via soap/xml) to a web services?
Please help. I am new to this concept.
The web service runs at (not an actual website name) -- https://something.someone.sometms.com/cgibin/somthing.exe?Script=/someapp/some_interfaces/webservice/ws_main.wml
The soap/xml output expected will lok similar to:

The data is in regular table with 4 columns (not an xml schema- table).
And what does soap/xml have to do with Oracle?

How to read configuration data from an xml file (not web.xml)?
Hi,
I want to separate the application specific configuration parameters in a separate xml file and read them as and when they are needed? I know that I can use the wb.xml but I want to separate them in a different xml file because I don't want the web.xml file to be played around later after deployment. If any change is needed then it should be done in the application-config.xml.
How can I read the parameters from this xml file in my jsp code and also what should be the location of this file if I have
../webapps/Root/application
directoty structure ?

How to provide the data directly for the report using web service
Hi all,
I'm trying to execute a report from the webservice API (using BIP version 10.1.3.4) and want to provide the report with a pre-fetched data set. According to the Dev-Guide, I should use element /ReportRequest/reportData for this, but I can't find a proper example illustrating this use case. The problem is that I don't know how to enter my data set into the element. My data set is xml (text) while the data type of the reportData element is base64binary.
I've tried something like the following, but without any success:

Thanks for your answer, the situation is a little different from what you describe.
We make a call to BI Publisher via a Web Service (PublicReportService) via the ReportRequest operation.
The report we call contains a query to a database.
When we do not include XML in the reportData field then the report data is obtained from the Database and the report result is returned via the Web Service.

I want to make web service using JPA which calls oracle XE via oracle coherence? i want to use JAX-ws? i searched and found you can make and deployed it using web logic but is there any other way i can make it and deployed in tomcat. i want to use oracle coherence + Oracle XE + JAX-WS? if it possible how can i other wise what are other ways i can do it?

Edited by: 913837 on Feb 22, 2012 3:51 PMIf you want data cached in Coherence to find it's way into an Oracle database for persistence, then look at the "CacheStore" section of the Coherence Developer Guide. This also works the other way round too, in that you can get data read into a Coherence cache via a database read. Again, look in the Coherence Developer Guide.
If you want you applications "entry point" into a piece of code to be a web-service, then Tomcat+CXF will work just fine. Once you are in the service, just use the Coherence API to put the data in a cache.
But also look at the HTTP access offered in later versions of Coherence in the form of REST. This may save you the Tomcat+CXF install, depending upon your needs. See the Coherence Client Guide.
Still, what exactly are you trying to achieve here? It's not clear from your post why a web service using JPA for persistence needs to go via Coherence at all. More info needed.

We use SAP NetWeaver 7.0 EHP1. The documentation mentioned above belongs to NetWeaver 2004s and I can't find it in the docu for 7.0. Does that mean the QUERY_VIEW_DATA is deprecated?

How to add security credentials to SOAP header for EBS Web Service call..
All,
I am trying to invoke a webservice that I successfully exposed as a WSDL Web Service using EBS Integrated SOA Gateway. I am using OBIEE 11g Action Framework which uses WebLogic.
Here are the steps I completed:
- I exposed a WSDL web service in EBS R12 via Integrated SOA Gateway
- I granted the access to this service in EBS R12 to user SYSADMIN
- I used OBIEE 11g to make a Action to call the Web service (using Action Framework) by searching for the WSDL
- When I try to execute the action: I get the error:
Action could not be invoked.
ServiceExecutionFailure :
Error invoking web service HR_PHONE_API_Service at endpoint http://ip-10-87-33-3.ec2.internal:8000/webservices/SOAProvider/plsql/hr_phone_api/ Missing <wsse:Security> in SOAP Header

First you have to install the FB app! At least on my new i5 with iOS 6.0.2, all the FB notification, push configuration and privacy controls are there, but if I touch any one, it tells me to install the app. Which I have not done as I won't pollute the phone with that time consuming and battery devouring distraction, but I digress.

Yes, big time. Mail, for sure, has a different file/folder structure, and would not be happy.
Plus, a number of apps (Apple and 3rd-party) are "Sandboxed." That's a security feature, to prevent malware or bad coding from affecting things it shouldn't. Some of their files, including the preferences files, aren't even stored in the same places!

But I'm also not sure how I'd use Time machine with such a set up.
Just as you do now. By default, Time Machine backs-up everything (except things like system work files, most caches and logs, trash) for all users and all internal drives & partitions. By default, it excludes external drives.
You can change those defaults, of course, via TM Preferences > Options.
See Time Machine - Frequently Asked Question #32 for details and considerations of multiple drives.

Good. Yes, clones are different. You need multiple "tasks" to back up multiple drives/partitions. But once set up, that shouldn't be a big deal. -

I have some external Retail store, they dont have Wincor Nixdorf POS, so they send me their Sales Report through SEEBURGER(its a middle Hardware which act as Converter) and SEEBURGER Convert that Sales data to XML format. My question is....
How can i upload or Convert a XML File into IDOC (WPUUMS)in SAP or in POSDM?
any new suggestion are welcome.

1. To get the required XML Schema, use transaction code WE60 to go to the IDoc documentation -> enter the IDoc type you want to use (WPUUMS01). Flag control and data record. Then display the XSD by choosing Documentation -> XML Schema from the menue bar. Now you can donwload the XSD for usage in Seeburger.
2. Create your mapping from the POS format into the IDoc XML format in Seeburger.
3. Create an XML File Port in ERP or POS DM using transaction code WE21.
3. To inbound the XML file from Seeburger into POS DM or SAP Retail Seeburger should trigger the function module EDI_DATA_INCOMING. Parameters for this FM are the Pathname to the XML file and the Portname you just created. Based on the port name the FM can derive the port type xml and the data will be handled as XML data.

Since OC4J is preconfigured to use the Oracle XML parser which is xmlparserv2.jar.
i have read the following article which states that
OC4J is preconfigured to use the Oracle XML parser. The Oracle XML parser is fully JAXP 1.1 compatible and will serve the needs of applications which require JAXP functionality. This approach does not require the download, installation, and configuration of additional XML parsers.
The Oracle XML parser (xmlparserv2.jar) is configured to load as a system level library of OC4J through it's inclusion as an entry in the Class-Path entry of the oc4j.jar Manifest.mf file. This results in the Oracle XML parser being used for all common deployment and packaging situations. You are not permitted to modify the Manifest.mf file of oc4j.jar.
It must be noted that configuring OC4J to run with any additional XML parser or JDBC library is not a supported configuration. We do know customers who have managed to successfully replace the system level XML parser and the Oracle JDBC drivers that ship with the product, but we do not support this type of configuration due to the possibility of unexpected system behavior and system errors that might occur from replacing the tested and certified libraries.
If you absolutely must use an additional XML parser such as xerces, then you have to start OC4J such that the xerces.jar file is loaded at a level above the OC4J system classpath. This can be accomplished using the -Xbootclasspath flag of the JRE.
i have also run the following command
java -Xbootclasspath/a:d:\xerces\xerces.jar -jar oc4j.jar
but no success.
How could i utilize my jar's like xerces.jar and xalan.jar for parsing instead of OC4J in-built parser ?

I am trying to deploy a sample xform application to the Oracle Application Server (10.1.3). However, I encountered the class loader issue that is similar to your stuation. I tried all the three solutions but the application is still use the Oracle xml paser class. I am wondering if you have any insight about this?

How can I store data in CompactFlash in a PCI 7041?
Hi.
I have built an application for RT control in a PCI 7041 that executes the main loop at 5 kHz, so cycle time is 200 us. Now I want to save some data generated during execution. I would like to register timestamp and three values per cycle so I'd have four values every 200 us.
I think that the best way to do this is to store data in the CompactFlash memory included in PCI 7041 in real time (one "row" per cycle), and then, after RT loop execution (it lasts about 2 seconds), download all data to Host's hard disk.
How can I do this? How can I access CompactFlash from Labview? Is there a better way to solve my problem?
Thanks!The 7041's CompactFlash is accessible as a drive (C through LabVIEW's file I/O functions. You can open/create/replace files on the 7041, just as you would on the host by calling file I/O functions in your downloaded VI.
Once the data is on C:, FTP to the 7041 from the host to retrieve your files. You can FTP programmatically in LabVIEW if you have the internet toolkit. If you don't have the internet toolkit, you can use System Exec to run your FTP commands.
If you prefer not to use FTP, you can transfer the data via TCP, UDP, or Datasocket, but that will require some additional programming. -
