How can I put a time delay between specific events within the same while loop? I'm already using the "wait" command to control the overall loop iteration speed. But I want to time the individual events as well.

You can use a flat sequence. In each box you can put your individual events and attached wait.
Don't forget to reduce your total loop time of the time you added in the individual sequences.

How can I put a timed pause between CFMAIL sendouts?

A preface, this is not marketing e-mailing I'm discussing, it's already opted-in government notifications requested by the customers.
This is driving me absolutely crazy. I've got a working SQL query that pulls a number or records (e-mail addresses), then sends out a series of mailings in batches (still working on that part).
What I'm stuck on is how in the world can I pause the CFMAIL processings between batches? For example, I want to send 500 e-mails, pause for 10 minutes, send the next 500, etc.
CFTHREAD looks kinda like what I might need but I'm not sure.
We're afraid of sending all at once (probably no more than 5,000 to 10,000 total) in fear of being blacklisted. Usually this app will only send 100 to 500 at a time.

I've developed a mailing application like this for our own (used for sending up to 100k emails per job so far without a problem) and my solution was this (simplified):
1) set-up a CFusion cronjob that runs every X minutes and executes the following
2) select all records/email-addresses within the sql query (no maxrows parameter)
3) cfloop over this query result-set with startrow and endrow parameter to select just the desired number of addresses
4) stored endrow value in database and used this one as startrow param for the next run/loop, X minutes later... and so on
I do not think that using cfsleep is wise, as such mailingjobs could potientially run for hours if not days, and you don't want to let scripts run this long.
First they occupy one of the precious "max parallel cf threads" slots on your server and second you could potentially loose all progress of this task if your server ever restarts while this script is running.

There never has been such a feature for iPhoto - you probably have (or used to have) one on your camera

How can I measure the time difference between spikes (interspike intervals)

I have used NI USB-6008 (DAQ) to sample a continous signal, after sampling I compared the amplitude of the resulted signal with a value. If the amplitude is greater than a specific value (threshold) then it can pass. Now I want to measure the time difference between the resulted samples. The samples look like spikes. (May be if I trigger a timer, then I can measuer the time difference, but I have not seen such a timer).

Oops just occured to me that you are using a 6009 which is not very fast, 48ks/sec, this will not get you very much time resolution and you could have issues seeing much of a 50 us sample. Another approach is to use the counter but you would have to preprocess the spikes to generate a trigger for the counter.

I need to acquire 40 sin signals (2000 kHz) at a sampling rate of 250kS/s per channel using a 6225 daq card with its AIs. In order to reach this sample rate I have to acquire all of the samples of the first channel (something like 2000 samples), then the same thing with channel 2,... up to channel 40. My problem is that I am loosing a lot of time (roughly 170 ms) each time I move up one channel because Labview reconfigures the channels.
When I move up one channel to acquire the 2000 samples the only parameter that changes is the channel that's all.
I have tried a few things with the assistant DAQ and Daqmx examples but without any success.
Is there a way to reduce this paramating time between 2 acquisitions ...?

Thanks for answering.
My purpose is to capture the 40 signals and get the RMS value of each of the channels (using one of the RMS.vis).
I had already tried capturing the 40 channels at once (infact I only tried capturing one channel at 6.250 Ks/s) but the RMS value isn't correct enough (the value isn't stable). I have attached my VI and saved 10 of the RMS values in the array to show you.

How can i compute the time elapsed between two pulses or the period of an encoder signal if I dont have a constant rpm?

I need to compute the rpm of an engine using information from an optical encoder attached to it. the engine is running in transient mode so the encoder pulse doesnt have a constant frequency. I need to get the period betwwen two rising or falling edges using DAQmx.
Any ideas?

Using an M Series or TIO device you can measure the period between two edges (on two different signals) using the two edge separation measurement. I'm assuming that you don't want to use position measurement because the frequency is varying so much? If not, you may be able to set the sample clock period short enough that you get a decent average RPM measurement.

Events are sorted in the following ways:
If Date, Keyword, Title, and Rating are not what you are looking for then it is time to start using Albums.
Highlight the images you wish to work with and then go to File > New > Album (you can drag more images into this Album later if you want to arrange more of them.)
Once you have the images in an Album you can use the "Manually" sort option which means you can drag the images into whatever order your heart desires.

How can I remove all Time Machine data from an external HD, while retaining the other folders/files on the disk?

I recently replaced my old Macbook Pro with a new Macbook Pro Retina.
The original MBP had Time Machine set up on an external HD, and I also had some manually saved/backed up files (stuff that didn't need incremental backups; very old stuff) on the disk as well, in folders. This worked fine and well for the life of the original MBP.
When I set up the MBPr, I did not elect to transfer everything over from a Time Machine disk, as I wanted a Fresh Install; I chose to just re-download/install the apps I needed from the App Store. Much cleaner, more stable. I updated to Yosemite immediately so, it gave me more of a clean install.
The problem is, Time Machine now won't read any Time Machine backups from that disk. Migration assistant can pull data from it, but it's a bit wonky. It was easier to just manually copy over what I needed.
Now, I just want to "reset", and completely remove the old Time Machine data from the external hard drive, since it is completely useless to me now (I can't access it on this computer, and it's taking up space). I want to remove the Time Machine data, as if it were never there, but keep my other folders/files that are on the disk (so, a format is not feasible).
I will then set the disk up as a new, fresh Time Machine disk for the new MBPr.
What is the proper method for removing Time Machine data from an external disk (which doesn't seem to be associated with this machine anyway)? I know a simple rm -rf will cause problems.

This is a common issue that NI LabVIEW does not address.
The good news is that OpenG provides a function to do just what you need.

The way to get the OpenG functions is to use the JKI VI Package Manager (VIPM).
In addition to the OpenG functions there are several other community provided tools avaliable through VIPM.
For a quick test, I'm attaching these files (LV version 2010 sp1):
Fit VI window to Largest Dec__ogtk.vi and the required sub vi Current VIs Parents Ref__ogtk.vi.
You should really use VIPM to get the full OpenG library - there are many gems in there.

Thank you Joe - I tried this but it's only showing a teensy amount of music - the stuff on the second users account as opposed to the giagntic library on the 'main' account. I actually went to a Genius Bar and they said that apple doesn't really want you to share music between accounts - parents don't want to hear their kids music etc. Which seemed strange, but it might be the case sadly Thanks anyway!

I have a N70. And, frequently when I have a call somebody calls me. What I use to do is to put one of then in hold while I'm finishing one of the calls.
I would like to put music playing to the person that is wainting/ is holding the call.

I don't think it's possible to keep sending audio while a call is on Hold.
So I don't think you can do that.
