How can I re-install Pages 5.1 or 5.01.?
I've just updated to Pages 5.2, but it's missing a feature I need to use which is automatically generating a clickable TOC when exporting to e-Pub. There is still a clickable TOC available in i-books, but Pages 5.2. no longer places another one at the beginning of the document which is what I want. I've looked all over the internet to see if I can download the 5.1 or 5.0.1 version but I'm not getting anywhere - just lots of blind alleys. Anybody got any suggestions of how I can download and/or re-install the previous version?
Thanks
You are right. Pages 5.1 creates one to extra TOC which neither Pages 09 or 5.2 do. This is what you are after, right? I had to find my pages 5.1 version on another hard disk.
I think you should ask in the MacAppStore for Pages 5.1. They have taken away something you used and has payed for. Next time don't update before you have mad a copy of the earlier version. Put it on a USB stick or something.

How can I set the page that will open, when I open a new tab, to be the same as the homepage?
An app changed it to some other search engine, before installing the app, I the tab that would open was the homepage I set.
In my case it is Google, and I want my new tabs to open on Google like they did before the installation.
thank you,
Asaf Privman. You can middle-click or Ctrl left-click the Home button on the Navigation toolbar to open the Home page in a new tab.
You can look at one of these extensions:

How Can I get a Page on my Aldus Pagemaker 3.0
I want to install Aldus Pagemaker 3.0 on my Apple Powerbook 1400, so I can use some files that I created in the 1990's on Aldus Pagemaker 3.0.
I have Pagemaker 4.2 on another computer, but it distorts the diagrams from the 3.0 files.
So I purchased Pagemaker 3.0 on eBay. I received 5 disks: Install Disk, Program Disk, Utilities & APDS, Templates, & Getting Started.
When I installed Aldus Pagemaker 3.0 on my Powerbook 1400 it tells me the installation was successful.
But when I click on the Pagemaker icon a window opens with the logo for "Aldus Pagemaker, Version 3.0."
At the top of the screen it shows the dropdowns.
When I click on "open new" it takes me to page setup.
I cannot get a page to appear so I can type on it.
How can I open a page? The chances of you finding anyone that can help you with something that’s about 20 years old are not very good.
I certainly can’t help, but I just wanted you to be aware that PM is totally dead and hasn’t been touched by Adobe for about 10 years. Most users have move to InDesign.

How can WLS use JSP pages in a Web Application (either a .war file or a war directory structure) without a java compiler?
I suspect either the JSP specification is flawed (i.e. it doesn't take account of servers using just a JRE), or BEA's implementation is broken.
Production servers do not have a JDK installed. They only have a JRE. Therfore a java compiler is not present on the machine that the Web Application is deployed onto.
On the development machine, when the server is requested to load the JSP it creates a tmpwar directory within the Web Application directory structure. This is then included in the resultant .war file thus:
D:\war>jar -tf gmi.war
META-INF/
META-INF/MANIFEST.MF
gmiService.jsp
WEB-INF/
WEB-INF/classes/
WEB-INF/classes/com/
WEB-INF/classes/com/bt/
WEB-INF/classes/com/bt/gmi/
WEB-INF/classes/com/bt/gmi/gmiService.class
WEB-INF/getList.xsl
WEB-INF/getListByConnection.xsl
WEB-INF/getListByDistrict.xsl
WEB-INF/getListByDistrictConnection.xsl
WEB-INF/lib/
WEB-INF/source/
WEB-INF/source/build.bat
WEB-INF/source/gmiService.java
WEB-INF/web.xml
WEB-INF/weblogic.xml
tmpwar/
tmpwar/jsp_servlet/
tmpwar/jsp_servlet/_gmiservice.class
tmpwar/jsp_servlet/_gmiservice.java
When deployed on the production server with the web.xml file set to use the following values (note XML stripped):
weblogic.jsp.pageCheckSeconds
-1
weblogic.jsp.precompile
false
weblogic.jsp.compileCommand
javac
weblogic.jsp.verbose
true
weblogic.jsp.packagePrefix
jsp_servlet
weblogic.jsp.keepgenerated
false
And in the weblogic.properties file:
weblogic.httpd.webApp.gmi=war/gmi
I've also tried with the .war file, but that insists on creating another tmpwar directory outside of the .war file.
Then, although I have set pageCheckSeconds to -1 (don't check and don't recompile) ter production server still attempts to recompile the JSP's:
Mon Sep 25 11:40:11 BST 2000:<I> <WebAppServletContext-gmi> *.jsp: init

The default Java compiler from sun lives in the tools.jar that comes with
the JDK. Just add that to your set of JARs which are deployed in production
and you should be fine. No need to install the full JDK - just make the
tools.jar available to WebLogic.

Hi MarcoMazzone,
Please open finder and then go to Applications/utilities/Adobe Installers/
You might find the uninstallers for CS6 ( design prem/stndard or master collection) or Photoshop CS6.
If you see any of them just double click on the uninstaller and follow the prompts on the screen to uninstall the product.
Close Adobe application manager and reopen it, You will see the photoshop as available.
Thanks

Installing an older version exposes your system to attack as described in this Adobe security advisory: http://blogs.adobe.com/psirt/2011/09/security-update-available-for-adobe-flash-player-apsb 11-26.html
If all you want to do is watch videos on Youtube, you don't need Flash and can watch them in HTML5 instead. All you need to do is to install Firefox which supports WebM. Firefox will run on most systems without a problem: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/8.0/system-requirements/ (download link on the same page).
After you install it, go to this site and click the link at the bottom called "Join the HTML5 Trial": http://www.youtube.com/html5 -
After I have converted PDF file to Word how can I select certain pages to save them as a new document? Thank you
You've said you have a Word file and want to use some pages in the file to create a new document.
Use Word to establish a new Word file that has the desired pages for the original Word file.
You now have a "new document" of the desired pages.
With Acrobat Standard or Pro installed you can create a "new document" PDF.
If you do not have Acrobat Standard or Pro or a subscription to an online Adobe service that can create PDF from MS Word you can use the Microsoft process to create PDF that comes with MS Word.
Be well... -

To update Pages, open > Software Update, if you purchased Pages on a DVD, or open the App Store > Updates, if you purchased it from the Mac App Store.
Note that the most recent Pages only works in Lion or Mountain Lion, so you can install the most recent version for Snow Leopard or the version you have now, If you want the latest Pages '09 version, upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion -
I am trying to delete pages I have crated in numbers, but can only see them in print preview. Without print preview I do not see them. How can I delete these pages, but keep others before and after?
Hi Crushed,
Numbers doesn't have pages. It has a canvas that holds objects such as tables and charts.
Drag the objects from the bottom of the canvas onto the white space above. That will reduce the number of "pages" (sheets of paper) that will print.

Ian. -

How can I print half pages to fit in my circa desk calendar
How can I print half pages from iCal to fit in my Circa desk calendar?
That depends on the program, but if it's Preview, go to Page Setup... under the File menu. Select the appropriate paper size there. Then go to File > Print... and do a Preview. If the content does not fit on the page, some printer drivers will have a Scale to Fit setting. If there is none, go back to Page Setup... and manually adjust the Scale until it fits nicely when you do a Preview.

how can i print specific pages against searched word or name (in one print command) from 1000 pages
Thanks, Alex!
ok, I try first approach in print4.vi, but Labview return an error (view jpg); if I cut From, To controls, the VI print all pages. The same things happen also if I trasform I32 in Variant.
I don't try second approach, because at this time I have only one report
I try also with VB macro: this is better (print3.vi) but.....if I use:
Sub Print_Pages_From_To()
ActiveDocument.ActiveWindow.PrintOut Range:=wdPrintFromTo, From:="2", To:="3"
End Sub
is ok; print the pages selected; if I use:
Sub PrintPages()
ActiveDocument.ActiveWindow.PrintOut Pages:="2-3"
End Sub
printer print all pages.
what do you think?
