How can I reference a Value in a Field?

Here is my problem. I have a two fields, say F_2 & F_3, defined in the layout editor. One field has a defined source of Page Number and the other field has a defined source of Total Pages. Each of these fields page numbering properties have been set so that the page numbers reset at a repeating group level. Within the report I have a program unit where I want to be able to use the values stored in these fields for calculations inside the program unit. How can this be done?

I have actually tried putting a ':', :F_2, in front of the field name. Doing this returns an error saying that I have a bad bind variable. I have also tried to put an '&', &F_2, in front of the field name. This also returns an error. This time the error is, encountered the sysbol '&' when expecting ...
Thanks for the suggestion. Any ideas, tips, and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

I am using
JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.0.3984 and
JHeadstart 10.1.3.1 release 10.1.3.1.26
I have one group and there is a detail group under that group.
From main group to detail group there are 3 field relating those groups.
field1
field2
fieldSEQ (auto-generated by database trigger)
These 3 fields are PK.
In the detail group, there is a New button. So, when the New button is clicked, it tries to create the record with those 3 fields value as those are coming from main group. As a result it's giving the duplicate error as that record already exists in the table.
But I don't want to create the record with that SEQ as that will be created in the trigger.
How can I set the SEQ temporarily any no. (-1) before create when the New button is clicked?
Can anybody help?

Hello Syad,
What I would suggest is setting the sequence number at the creation of the entity object (so in the create() method) by using the database sequence. This way it will always be unique.
So something like:

To access pseudo columns you can specify an alias or use the index on the column (e.g. getInt(1)).

I'm running a sub-vi in a "Secondary Front Face" (excuse for the
translation if not correct, I'm working on a French version). In order
to run this VI, I pass a reference. All is working fine but I don't
know how can I get the values entered by the user in this VI ?
Actually I run a main VI wich contains a "Secondary Front Face" (this
SFF is contained in a tabbed pane). In my diagramm, I pass a reference
to another VI (by the name of the file *.vi). If my user enter a word
in a text field, I would like to be able to get it in my main app.

You might take a look at the following tutorial for more information about calling a VI by reference. It's got some great visuals and examples.

You might also consider just calling the secondary VI as a simple subVI, if you can spare the memory space when loading the main application, as this is the easiest way to input and output VI values.

I tried to find some examples/samples on how to create CollectionModel for a table component but not successful.
Can you clarify the following ?
1. "CollectionModel" is referenced only by af:table attributes "value", "selectedRowKeys" and "selectionListener".
The rest of af:table attributes such as "rows", "fetchSize" used to reference the iterator binding in the binding container via the EL expression "#{bindings.VOIteratorBinding.xxx} .
What should I replace that EL expression with?
2. I heck out the bean method to create the CollectionModel as following, is it close to what you mean?

How can I reference a winforms control using a variable in Powershell?

I have a powershell winform that has a lot of text boxes, but for the sake of this post, lets say I have 5. I want to loop through the 5 text boxes to see if their text property is empty. If the textbox contains something, I want to add the text value to
an array. Here's an example of what I'm trying to do.

you can use a reference to a RichTree component instance and call getSelectedRowKeys on it. The selected rowKey then allow you to look-uo the nodes in the tree. You can use a custom selection listener on the tree to be notified about each selection. There also is an API for the de-selected row keys, which you need to remove nodes from the select many list. The select many list will get its data from a managed bean in view scope (so the values survive subsequent requests)

How can one reference symbols from PutBIN.pl?

I've been working on some code with a large number of static
variables, and my startup times have gotten so slow that my swf
will hit the fifteen second timeout before actually doing anything.
Confuddled by this, I examined the code being generated and
eventually realised that Alchemy allocates all static values one
byte at a time, dynamically in Actionscript, at startup. This is
less than ideal when one has large static arrays.
So, as my code is not much use timing out, I spent some time
writing a bash script to parse the $$.achacks.as sourcefile
generated by alchemy, track all the static global variables, and
write their values out into a memory file in advance. The script
then removes all non-function-pointer references to StaticInitter,
which is what processes the byte-by-byte initialisations, and
replaces them with a single ByteArray readBytes() call. After these
changes, I allow alchemy to compile my new code into the resulting
swc/exe/swf. I expect it would now start up lightning fast.
For this to work, the assumption is that I can get a
ByteArray into the code that already contains the values I need. I
tried using [Embed()] metadata, but alchemy does not seem to
support it. I suppose that is what PutBIN.pl is for -- and hence my
question.
How can one reference a symbol loaded with PutBIN.pl? What
must be passed to it and how is that related to what's in the code?
Is there an example anywhere? I can't seem to get it to work.
If others are interested in my script, I am glad to attach
it, but it is relatively long.

It's supposed to be ora_dict_obj_type. This is one of many event attributes that we can interrogate in DDL triggers. You can find out more in the online docs.

How can i get all values from jtable with out selecting?

i have one input table and two output tables (name it as output1, output2). Selected rows from input table are displayed in output1 table. The data in output1 table is temporary(means the dat wont store in database just for display purpose).
Actually what i want is how can i get all values from output1 table to output2 table with out selecting the data in output1 table?

Well, for more clearly! My problem is I must have the Unit Cost of Items, so I've got it in the cm_cmpt_dtl (table), but if I want to, I must create a relation that require 2 filed, they're Item_ID and Whse_Code.
There's no problem with Item_ID, but Whse_Code seem to be the Mission Impossible (hix, I hate that film!!!!)

How can I return multiple values with PL/SQL Web Services

I'm new to developping Web Services. I'm doing some tests with JDeveloper and OC4J on my local machine with a Web Services based on a PL/SQL function within a package. Right now that function only returns one value. So the xml response only has one output.
I'd like to know how can I return multiple values with my PL/SQL Web Service. For example, if I want to return an employee's name and id? And that the xml contains two output : <employee>, <empid>?

Alright, I actually found my answer. Since this was asked I think as a followup somewhere else I'll give my answer.
It is very simple, all you have to do is create an Object Type and then Return that object type. After that, JDeveloper will take care of everything and you will have an xml response with multiple values. Here
