How can i replace column name using reciever JDBC adapter on runtime.

Hi Experts,
I have a problem with reciever JDBC synario.
Target Oracle table has columns named 2 bytes Japanese character like "日本".
Datatype cannot accept 2bytes character as element name.
So, I would like to how to replace column name on runtime.
Please tell me.
Regards,
Shinya Kawaoge

Hi Shinya Kawagoe,
I understand there is a column with two Japanese characters in target database table. Now you want to UPDATE or INSERT data in that table. You do not want to rename the column name in the database table (if you want to rename column, ask the target database admin ).
As Japanese characters are not allowed in XML Data Type in ESR. You can [Define a SQL_QUERY Statement|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/44/7b7855fde93673e10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm]. Check the Addres日本s in below code.
<root>
  <stmt>
    <Customers action="SQL_DML">
      <access> UPDATE Customers SET CompanyName=u2019$NAME$u2019, Addresu65E5u672Cs=u2019$ADDRESS$' WHERE CustomerID='$KEYFIELD$u2019
      </access>
      <key>
        <NAME>Firma</NAME>
        <ADDRESS>Strasse 3 </ADDRESS>
        <KEYFIELD>FI</KEYFIELD>
      </key>
    </Customers>
  </stmt>
</root>

  • How to find the File name using the FTP Adapter

    hi all,
    how to find the File name using the FTP Adapter with BPEL.
    Regards

    Found the solution for this.
    First In the mediator's routing rule use assign property $in.property.jca.file.FileName to $out.property.jca.file.FileName
    In the BPEL's receive activity go to the properties tab and get the property to a BPEL variable. That should do it.

  • How can I edit column name/heading in Column Attributes?

    Hi All,
    In the link "*Home>Application Builder>Application 1000>Page 2>Report Attributes>Column Attributes*", can someone help me how to edit/modify 'Column Name' and 'Column Heading' ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards

    Hi,
    There is Headings Type radio buttons above report column attributes.
    Select Headings Type "Custom" and then you can change Headings.
    Column names (Alias) you need change to report query.

    Hi Roshni,
    I guess this CASE clause can be simulated by a DECODE and also it is very easy to use.
    Refer -- http://www.techonthenet.com/oracle/functions/decode.php
    select decode(t1.state,t2.state_id,t2.state_name), t1.count_id
    from <table_2> t2, (select state,count(id) count_id
    from <table_name>
    where composite_dn= <composite_dn_name>
    group by state) t1
    where t1.state = t2.state_id;HTH

  • How can i change column name in FR

    Hi There
    created a report in the columns i have Children of Q1: JAN FEB MAR
    Problem is i need to change JAN as Jan,FEB as Feb.
    How can i do this.Please suggest me.
    Thanks
    Hv.

    Hi
    I think that the best way to do this would be to add an alias in the database as this can then be consistently applied in any report. However, you could use conditional formatting to do this:
    If MemberName in dimension Period = JAN click the format cells button and then on the REPLACE tab select the check box and type Jan in the field. You will then need to add a second and third format (not a conditions) and repeat for FEB and MAR.
    Hope this helps

  • How can I get file name using JSTL ?

    Hi,
    I'm now using <c:out value="${pageContext.request.requestURI}"/>
    this return servlet path
    How can I get just file name
    or user path (in location bar) ?
    thanks in advance

    The original uri (before forwarding) is available in a request scoped attribute.
    These attributes are given the values obtained by calling the related method on the original request received by the container.
    javax.servlet.forward.request_uri
    javax.servlet.forward.context_path
    javax.servlet.forward.servlet_path
    javax.servlet.forward.path_info
    javax.servlet.forward.query_stringSo if those two above don't work for you these might.
    <c:out value="${requestScope['javax.servlet.forward.request_uri']}"/>
    <c:out value="${requestScope['javax.servlet.forward.servlet_path']}"/>If these values are null, then the value in the request object is the correct one.
    You mentioned the value in the address bar being a .html file. Do you perchance use framesets? If so the value in the address bar is always the url used to load the frameset, and doesn't change no matter where you travel within those frames. That won't be available to the server, because it has nothing to do with the current request.
    Cheers,
