  • How can I transfer music from my iPod to a new laptop?

I recently got a new laptop because my old laptop, in which all of my music is in, is about to break down. So just about a few days ago my laptop just died, i cannot turn it on, and all of my music is in there. How can i transfer all of my music onto my new laptop using my ipod, and how will I be able to keep downloading music on my new laptop. Thanks!

You still got your music in your iPod? There is a way to transfer it to your new laptop.
You can simply transfer music from iPod to computer with a handy tool called iOS Transfer.
iOS Transfer is a program specifically designed to deal with problem of transformation between iPod and Computer.

  • How can we transfer music from two iPods onto one new one

My partner an I have two iPod classics and an iPod touch, can we transfer and edit the content in store when the new nano arrives as we have no access to a PC?

iPods (that are not iPod touch) need to sync with a computer (Mac or Windows PC) running iTunes.  There is no way to transfer content directly between iPods, or using an iOS device (like your iPod touch).

You really need to get an external drive and put together a backup plan.

  • How can I transfer CD albums, on iTunes, from a Mac to Macbook Air?

I have recently purchased a MacBook Air, and I am trying to figure out a way of transferring my iTunes library from my old Mac to the new MacBook Air.
While I have managed to download my purchased music from my iTunes account, I have yet been able to find a way of transferring CD Albums, which I have added to my old Mac, onto the new MacBook Air. This is a problem due to the MacBook Air not having a disk drive.
Is there some kind of process that I can do easily from one to the other, or is it a case of backing up my iTunes library onto an external drive and transferring it over that way? If the latter, how would I go about doing this? If possible, a step-by-step would be appreciated.
    Many Thanks,
    Walcnevar

Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings:  Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive.  Open iTunes and immediately hold down the option (alt) key (shift on Windows) so you get a prompt to select a library, then guide it to the 'iTunes Library.itl' file in the moved iTunes folder.
If you put the copied iTunes folder in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music  then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there.  (Make sure there isn't anything already in the iTunes folder there that you want to keep since you will be replacing it with the one you are moving.)

  • How can I transfer my old account balance to my new Apple ID?

The new Apple ID was necessary because Itunes checks email addresses, and the address no longer exists, so it would not let me sign in. Now that I have a new Apple ID, it wont recognize my credit balance. Lest anyone tell me to email Apple, I cant: Apple wont recognize my email program, so I cannot contact anyone without their real, actual email address.
I cannot use my debit card, because all holders of Mastercard debit cards issued by Shazam are barred from ordering from itunes (and Gardener's Supply). Many problems started as I refused to accept "terms of use" here and there due to what I consider to be reprehensible terms-hence the locked email and therefore Apple verification problems.

You can't. Even if you could contact Apple, they won't do it unless you want to clear the balance instead of moving it between accounts; this is generally only useful when the balance is stopping you from changing countries.

  • How can I tell if I got one of the new updated MacBook Air models?

    Hello,
I bought a new MacBook Air this week (6 May 2014 to be precise) after the announcement was made of a minor update to the processor which is supposed to extend battery life. When I check its serial number, however, I expected to see "Early 2014", but instead it identifies as a "Mid 2013" model. Is this correct? And if so, how do I know whether or not I got one of the updated models?
    Specs in attached screenshot.
    Thanks in advance,
    Lee

I am having the same exact issue. I thought the reason might be because my customized version which has a 1.7 Ghz Core i7 is the same processor as the mid-2013 models. However in looking at some other posts online people with customized versions that have 8 GB of memory are having the same issue, even if their processor is the 1.4 Ghz Core i5 which is only included in the early 2014 models.
They Early-2014 Models came out on April 29th 2014, and looking at my serial number you can see that my computer was made AFTER that date.
There are however computers that show do Early 2014 such as the MacBook Air in this unboxing video.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjkrv2-kwCs
What's interesting is the computer in the video was made BEFORE mine (from the serial number) yet it shows as newer in Apple's system
Now I have seen some posts indicating that apple will fix this issue via an update, however it is NOT just a software issue but also an issue in Apple's computer systems
If I look my device up on https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do
It shows as a mid-2013 Model, whereas if I look up the MBA in the YouTube unboxing it shows as an early 2014.
I really hope Apple fixes this, I have spoken with managers at two Apple Retail stores and they offered to exchange my device within the return period, but I have yet to have gotten a chance to head over, I will likely within a day or two.

  • How can I transfer my music from my iPhone 5s to my ipad air without a computer?

I have a number of songs on my iPhone 5s that I would like on my ipad air but I don't have a computer and the songs aren't going onto my cloud. Some songs save to the cloud but not all of them.

What happened to the computer those songs were transferred from originally and the same for the computer's backup that should include your iTunes library along with all other important data?
Without purchasing iTunes Match, you are out of luck for those songs without the computer they were transferred from or your iTunes library on a backup that can be transferred to a new or different computer to transfer those songs to the iPad.

How can I transfer music from my ipod classic 60GB to my iPhone 4 music library, just by song or whole CD that I have bought? Help needed!

load the current version of I tunes on the laptop and sync the pod.  Then sync the phone - you can select all or as much of the music you want to.
Also - if the music on the pod was purchased from the itune store in the first place, you should be able to redownload it to the phone for free, as long as you are using the same apple id that it was bought with.

  • How can I transfer music from my iPod touch to my new mac without a backup?

I've seen a lot of tutorials on how to do this from various websites. Some are for windows only and some only apply to iPods that aren't touches. What I want to know is, how can i transfer my music from iPod touch to my Mac without losing everything and without having to buy all my music over again (none of my music was purchased on iTunes)? It'll break my heart that 600 songs are all gone simply because I don't have a backup or I didn't purchase from iTunes. There has to be a way to do this. Help?

You need a third-party program like one of those discussed here.

There is also PhoneView and TouchCopy.

  • How can I transfer my music from ipod nano to iphone?

    hi,
i'm seriously considering buying an iphone. but before i do, i just have a couple of questions:
    1. How can I transfer my music from ipod nano to iphone?
    2. Will there be an iphone with higher memory capacity than 16gb? If so, when will it be out. (If there will be memory sizes of ipod similar to ipod classic, then i think it's better if i wait a little longer considering that there's only little difference in the price).
    Thank you!!

I don't believe there will be an iPhone with storage capacity equivalent to the iPod Classic anytime soon - at least not within the next month, or even this year or the next.
The iPod Classic has a hard drive. The iPod Touch and iPhone have Flash storage. Flash storage is more expensive than the hard drive equivalent, but the cost for Flash storage is coming down - supply an demand is probably helping this. The iPod Touch has double the storage capacity of the largest iPhone storage capacity since the iPod Touch doesn't include a cell phone - the case has more room for two 16GB Flash drives. More than likely there will be a 32GB iPhone at some point, but I believe it will be a while before we see a 64GB iPhone or larger approaching the storage capacity that is available with an iPod Classic.

How can you transfer data from one ipod to another ipod ?

The geniusbar told me what to do, I understood but there is still a problem for me >:/ It's not showing up though. Like "device."  Nothing is happening, and I tried as soon as I got home. Then after half an hour, then an hour, then 3 hours. My problem is that it's not showing up! It's stuck in recovery mode! There's still like 25% battery. So I have no idea why.
