Do i need any program for it? I got it working where i can watch my monitor on my tv but i want the other way around.(yes my card supports it)I use NVIEW also if that helps...
Hi, few simple questions for you before going into conclusions...
1. What is the model of your Video Card?
2. Does it have any support for features like VIVO?
And some answers for your questions...
1. If your are able to watch your monitor screen on TV, it proves that there is no problem for Video Out but not so the other way round if you card does not support Video In.
2. nView is mainly for Video Editing purposes, i.e. splitting your screen using two monitors running on the same card.

You should certainly be able to add content by reference to itunes from such a disk (even before the update) - so long as itunes knows the location of the file (set Preferences not to copy to local library when adding the media) it will stream it to AppleTV if the disk is available.
I hope you're right, but I'd be surprised if current Extremes can be upgarded to provide a full Home Sharing service - marvellous if they can but I'd be surprised as i've long said we need an Apple media server either based on TC or AE to do this kind of thing.

I have purchased and downloaded some TV Shows through iTunes. How can I watch them on my iPad without an internet connection?
Demo the same thing happened to me. I purchased a seasons pass for Sons of Anarchy Season 6 and I've got the eposides on my IPad but Airplay won't allow me to watch the episodes without an internet connection or WiFi. Is there anything else I can do so that I can watch these eposides without an internet or wifi connections?

You can't. The only way is to transfer the movie to your computer and import to iTunes (making sure it is compatible) and either use home-sharing or airplay the movie off an ios device.

Guess the iOS isn't really all that it's cracked up to be, ignoring the wider world out there.
Your only choice to complain to Apple about closed devices they make, but of course they know this already and using the iPad as a cheap "netbook" halo effect device so you get to upgrade to a Mac, just like they do with iPhones and iPods.
In the meanwhile they are slowly closing the door on OS X, a little at a time so it's not noticeable.
Pretty soon the excuse will be "sorry I can't play your video you sent me mom, I've got a Mac"

Last year, I had the Super Bowl streaming online to my macbook pro, and via AirPlay I streamed it to my Apple TV. I plan to do the same thing this year, except using my new iMac. Just need to find a website that is going to be streaming it. Foxsportsgo.com has said they will be streaming and will not required verification of an eligable paid cable/satalite subscription to watch the Super Bowl only. So crossing fingers that it works cause I don't get regular antenna signal where I live, nor do I pay for cable/satalite services.

A movie rented on an iPhone can only be viewed on an iPhone. If you want to view on TV you need to rent directly on ATV or via computer (and stream using home-sharing)

If there are specific golf 'channels' out there or particular events, I would go to their websites and look to see if there are any iPad apps - they may well be subscription based though.
Also if there are apps, check out reviews in iTunes or the developer's sites as many apps with copyrighted video will only send audio to AppleTV so best to find out before subscribing to anything.

How can I watch MKVs on a DVD player and keep 5.1?
Hi,
I have several MKV files which I want to convert to play in a DVD player/Xbox 360.
I want to keep the hi def and 5.1 sound in the newly encoded file.
I have tried using Handbrake with some success. The video is outputted in hi def and it plays in my Xbox but for some reason Handbrake keeps downmixing the audio to stereo.
Is there a professional package that can do the job? How can I watch MKVs on my players and keep 5.1 surround sound?

Are you using mirroring or using airplay within iTunes? If you are truly mirroring then you can view anything that is displayed on your computer through Apple Tv
