How to do the ALV report output in groups and caluculate the tOTALS(URGENT

Hi
In my ALV report output .I have to group the output based on the DAYS field
0-10 days in one group
10-30 days in one group
above 30 days one group
There is also a field by name "AMOUNT" in my output.
I have to calculate SUBTOTALs at the end of every group and at the end of the report i should caluculate GRAND TOTAL.
Please remember that i should not use any any BLOCKED ALVs and for Totals i should not use the SYMBOLS provided in the application toolbar of the report

Validation of data in editable ALV report output for particular field

Hi Experts,
I have one input enabled field in ALV output. How to validate the data once user enters in that field and press enter? Is it possible to capture the value, hit the enter after user enters the data?

1 First you should registeer the ENTER Event.

2 Declare event handler method for Event data_changed of cl_gui_alv_grid.

         for event data_changed of cl_gui_alv_grid

3 Inside the Event handler method , you get the event parameter er_data_changed type ref to CL_ALV_CHANGED_DATA_PROTOCOL.

My requirement is to send the ALV report output to the respective users Email ID (Lotus notes) when the report runs in background.

How to Print Selection-Screen along with ALV Report output

I have a requirement wherein i need to also print the Selection Screen of a report when I print the ALV report output.
Basically i need to print the ALV output along with selection screen.

My selection Screen is a very big one. It contains around 30 select-options.
So is their any standard method in which you can choose whether you want to take the output printout with or without Selection screen.

How can I run the report for different input values at the same time?

Reports version: Report Builder 6.0.8.13.1
Oracle version: Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.7.0.0
I want to run the same report for different input parameter values and spool each o/p to different file and ftp to a server. For this, as a first step, I am spooling different input values in to a file, reading those values through a loop and calling the report for that input values. Each report run/execution is taking 15 minutes. Total report execution is taking approximately 4 hours (assuming 16 different input values) to complete. So I have to wait 4 hours to see ALL outputs.
I would like to run the report parallel for ALL the input values and I should be able to see the ALL outputs with in 15 or 16 minutes.
In my shell script, I added & symbol at the end of the report call to start/run the job in the background. Due to this the control passed to the next step after the report call. At this place I have an ftp command to send the output file to a different server and it is giving error some thing like o/p file is not available/created yet". This is due to the fact that report writer is NOT yet completely started/initiated or it is NOT completed the spooling.
How can I run the report at the same time for all the input values and save the time?

Increase the number of server engines running right now it seems there is only one engine running ,increase it to 4 or 6
and then atleast 4 or 6 reports will run simultaneously.
For FTPing the output add to your sript to check whether it is locked and if not then only try to ftp .
Also for more better functionality read the document (chapter 15 ) for 10g reports for its new fuinctionality.

Problem when dowloading the ALV report output to Excel Sheet.

Hi ,
I am dowloading the ALV report output to Excel Sheet.
There is field Condition Unit(KOMP-KMEIN) in the output of the ALV, this has values PC and CSE , but when I download to Excel Sheet, CSE is appearing as CSE ,but PC is appearing as ******.

How to send a ALV report as a workitem

Hi All,
How to send a ALV report to the SAP Inbox for approval.
Requirement: When the reviewer executes the report and click on send button.
It will go to the approver for report approval.
How to send a report when reviewer click on the send button.
I am unable to find a solution when the user click on the send button the report will go to the approver.
Please help me out on this...

I do not have a ready sample with me; however, here can be a logical sequencing of steps which you can follow to achieve this:
1) Define a custom PF STATUS in the ALV with the SEND Button
2) In the User Command routine for ALV, code for SEND
3) See how standard ALV - EXPORT to EXCEL Works - Debug and find the steps to generate an EXCEL - in the SEND Functionality
4) Once Excel is downloaded, create a SOFM document for the same - Check the method CREATE of object SOFM on the coding required to do it
5) Generate the SOFM Object Instance using the document created and calling FM SWO_INVOKE
6) Now you have the run time instance of the report output as a document
7) Define a custom Business object and a custom workflow based on that object
8) Define a custom event with the event parameter of type SOFM
9) From your SEND routine of the report -> trigger the event and pass the SOFM Instance of the excel as event parameter
10) Workflow will have this object via binding from event to workflow container
11) In the decision step to approver, bind this to _ATTACH_OBJECTS
For each of these, you will find some link already on SCN.
