Hi, i have a problem with the nls_session_parameters i don't now how chage this , when raptor start

As another Apps site outside the US, I was surprised that I hadn't hit this myself as we have had problems with this where the NLS_LANG wasn't set correctly in the Oracle registry.
However, I have set a Windows environment variable NLS_LANG to AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8ISO8859P1 and it would appear that this is being picked up by Raptor. Checking NLS_SESSION_PARAMETERS, my NLS_LANGUAGE is AMERICAN and my NLS_TERRITORY is AMERICA. Selecting USERENV('LANG') from dual returns US and I can happily select on the various _VL views and see results.

NLS Session Parameters

Hi ALL,
When someone logins from a client machine to oracle database server NLS Session Parameters are set according to nls_lang environment variable value. If NLS_Lang environment variable is not set on client machine NLS Paremeters values are US (America).
How there parameters are set? Is America is default value or it depends on some OS setting like Time Zone, Locale etc.
Also is there any way without setting the nls_lang environment variable NLS Session parameters are set to some other tha default value.

If the client does set not any NLS parameters, the client uses the default database NLS parameters settings that are defined in init.ora.
The client can issue ALTER SESSION SET <nls param.>=<value> except
for the character set that must be defined with NLS_LANG at OS level.

How to view session parameters of other sessions?

Hi
I have a problem with an application that is related to character sets, codepages and NLS settings.
As all my tests (with sqlplus) where successful I suppose the application is setting any NLS parameters that cause the problem. To further investigate the issue I'd like to see the session parameters of the session the application is using.
I know NLS_SESSION_PARAMETERS has the information for my session, but how do I get the information for any other session?? Is this possible at all?

So I have to do tracing? There is no view or table where I can quickly lookuo the info? That's a pity!
Anyway, meanwhile I found out that the backend of the application has the ability to send custom SQLs to the server. So I just did a select on NLS_SESSION_PARAMETERS from there and voila there was a configuration issue...
Ok, another question, maybe a dumb question, but I am missing NLS_CHARACTERSET in NLS_SESSION_PARAMETERS.
NLS_CHARACTERSET is available in NLS_DATABASE_PARAMETERS and in V$NLS_PARAMETERS - but not in NLS_SESSION_PARAMETERS.
Shouldn't it be possible to set the characterset within the session to adjust the output to the local client? If I set the NLS_LANG=language_territory.charset on the client, where does the charset go?

Change USRP session parameters in RunTime

I want to change some of the parameters of USRP RIO in runtime. Baically based on time.
1. Change receiver/trasmitter chain depending on case. If case 1 the USRP tranmits from a queue using RF0/TX1
Case 2: USRP receives using the same antenna.
How can I choose between RX and TX available with RF0 during runtime. After every T milliseconds RF1 changes between RX1 and TX1.

How to change NLS parameters in SQL Developer?

I think that Oracle National Language Support is quite confusing. How can I easily change NLS parameters for SQL Developer (for all connections) to match exactly those that my database is using?

What do you mean when you saying: init file (or spfile)? Where can I find these files?
Registry entry (NLS_LANG) is correct, but when I'm using web based administration application I can see more NLS settings. Unfortunately I can't change them :(
Using XE version I can't (I'm not sure about that) create another instance, there is only one instance created by installer. Is it possible to change NLS settings in this case?

How to persist URL parameters in OAM portal inserts?

Hi,
We have a requirement to redirect the users to different XSLs based on the containers configured in OID (ou=employees,ou=customers). We have configured different style directories (employees and customers) in OAM. For Identity Administration activities we are using another style (adminStyle) used by OAM Identity Administrators.
We are using OAM portal inserts for navigating from webapplication (integrated with OAM) to OAM modify profile page to change user attributes.
Also webapplication using different authenitcation scheme in OAM.
User login into webapplication using login.jsp (form based authentication scheme) and clicks on Modify profile link (URL will be portal insert URL).
After the user session timeout (Configured in webgate) user is redirected to OAM login page (form based authentication). Once the user enters valid credentials user is redirected to OAM user manager application (only navigation bar with back button is displayed).
The parameters comp=true, style=employees and program=modify are lost. Hence user not able to see OAM Modify profile page. Again user needs to click on back button (portalid) to get into Modify profile page. How to persist these parameters in the URL?
Following is the portal insert URL we are using:

That looks like a bug (6158232) that was fixed in version 10.1.4.2 of OAM Access Server (maybe WebGate too). Are you on an earlier version?

Default value 'sys_date' in an integer form YYYYMMDD without changing NLS

I would need to define the default value in the alter table SQL, where I would set the default value of the current 'sys_date' in a string form 'YYYYMMDD' (8 varchar) without changing the session or system NLS settings.
Would I need to invoke a PL/SQL procedure for this (if possible without it)?

How to hide dynamic parameters values in the URL with Reports 6i

Hi,
I want to know a way of hiding the parameters values when asking for a report through the web.
Now I'm using the Reports 3.0.5.8 with a Cartridge defined in the Oracle Web Application Server 3.0.1.0.1. When you ask for a report with the parameters DESTYPE = cache and DESFORMAT = pdf, it is fully generated and in the Address or Location box of the browser, you can see http://webserver/cache/report.pdf (where cache is the virtual directory defined in the OWAS in which the .pdfs are cached). So, users cant see the Url used to generate the report.
Im trying to upgrade this configuration to Reports 6i with Cgi in a web server. I generate reports with no problems. The problem I have is I cant find how to hide the parameters values as before. I mean, when I ask for a report, once its generated I can see http://webserver/cgi-bin/rwcgi60.exe?server=ServerName&report=report.rdf&userid=user/pass@connection&destype=cache&desformat=pdf&P1=value1&P2=value2 in the Location box. It allows user to ask for another report changing the values of the parameters. I use these parameters to execute some query written in the Data Model. For example, imagine that the P1 represents the company id, the user (that is supposed to see only data of its company) can change this id, ask for a new report and see data of another company.
Ive already tried to use the key mapping option, but its not useful to me because the parameters values are dynamic and its impossible to define different entries in the cgicmd.dat for each possible value. The option of loading the parameter form before running a report is not useful to me either, because there exists specific screens for this purpose.
Is there any solution?

The last option I have is 'Hide' for 'Calculate single values as' .
I have the below options for 'Calculate single values as'
1. Normalise according to Next group level Resul.
2. Normalize according to Overall Result
3. Rank number
4.Olympic Rank Number
5.Maximum
6. Minimum
7.Counter for all detailed values
8.Counter for all detailed values that are non zero
9.Moving average
10.Moving average That is Not zero ,null or Error
11. Hide.
So could you please tell me where i can find 'suppress result' option for the keyfigure .

How to pass session variable value with GO URL to override session value. ( It is not working after making changes to authentication xml file session init block creation as explained by oracle (Bug No14372679 : which they claim it is fixed in 1.7 version Ref No :Bug 14372679 : REQUEST VARIABLE NOT OVERRIDING SESSION VARIABLE RUNNING THRU A GO URL )
Please provide step by step solution.No vague answers.
I followed below steps mentioned.
RPD:
****-> Created a session variable called STATUS
-> Create Session Init block called Init_Status with SQL
select 'ACTIVE' from dual;
-> Assigned the session variable STATUS to Init block Init_Status

nameInSource="RE_CODE" biVariableName="NQ_SESSION.STATUS"/>
Report
Edit column "Contract Status" and added session variable as
VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.STATUS)
URL:
http://localhost:9704/analytics/saw.dll?PortalGo&Action=prompt&path=%2Fshared%2FQAV%2FTest_Report_By%20Contract%20Status&RE_CODE='EXPIRED'
Issue:
When I run the URL above with parameter EXPIRED, the report still shows for ACTIVE only. The URL is not making any difference with report.
Report is picking the default value from RPD session variable init query.
could you please let me know if I am missing something.

Did I use session in a wrong way?No, you are using the session correctly. The code looks fine.
Check
- your spelling of the attribute names - obviously they must match
- the ids of the sessions you get both times: session.getId(). If they have different ids, then most probably the session is being lost somewhere.
There are a number of reasons to lose a session. If you close the browser, invalidate the session in code, or lose the cookie recording the id. This happens when you change from https to http, so a session can be lost that way.
The session is normally maintained by session cookies. If you close your browser you lose the cookie. If you have disabled cookies on your machine then it also might not work.
In cases such as that you should be using the method response.encodeURL() to maintain the session for you in any hyperlinks you produce. Struts normally handles that for you though if necessary.

Dear Sir or madam:
I have collected a lot of electroencephalogram data, which looks like a continuous sine wave plus a noise signal. what i want to do now is to fit the data with the bilinear model as the attached jpg file. the problem is the parameters of the model are changing with the evolution of the signal. would someone like to tell me how to calculate the parameters in the bilinear model?

I can point you in the right direction, but probably not answer your question really well. If you have the pro or full distribution of LabVIEW, you can use the curve fitting VIs to match any set of data to a theoretical curve. The curve fitting Express VI may do all you need to do (use the nonlinear option). To get the signal evolution, break your data into pieces and process each. If you need to average a bit, you can use a sliding window of your data for each analysis, moving the window less than the window width for each analysis.
There are a plethora of curve fitting techniques built into LabVIEW - matrix operations, linear and log linear fits, Levenberg-Marquardt methods, downhill simplex, etc. You will probably need to experiment a bit to get a stable
algorithm for your case. Check your literature for ways other people have done this. There may be an easy, stable method out there.
If you are unfamiliar with curve fitting techniques, or you do not have the pro or full versions of LabVIEW, I would recommend "Numercial Recipes in C" by Press et. al., published by Cambridge University Press. The chapter on Modeling of Data will get you going. The rest of the book will provide any background you need.
This was a very general answer. If you need something more specific, let me know. Be aware that this type of problem usually requires some trial and error to get right. The answers should be tightly scrutinized before being believed.
