How come icloud isn't updating my old pictures and apps to my new phone?
I got a new iphone5 and i had icloud on my previous iphone4. When i backed up icloud on my iphone5, only the contacts came. How do i get my pictures from my iphone4 to my iphone5?
Did you restore the iCloud backup of your iPhone 4 to your iPhone 5? That woud transfer your camera roll, settings, app data, text messages, apps and other purchased media, etc. to the iPhone 5.

That means you have not a backup before accidentally restore your new iPhone 5.
So you should recover your new pictures and info with a third recovery tool.

I was updating to the current iso6 and forgot to click new phone in I-tunes when updating instead i clicked restore and now I have old info on my phone and all my current info is gone is there any way to get that info back.
Setting up as "new" will set the device as if it were just taken out of the box. This certainly would not restore any content that was on the device.
Sounds like what you want is to simply restore to a more recent backup. You did backup the device prior to updating correct? If you did not, it's unlikely that you can get the content back. -

And if you do not have access to your Old computer then you will not be able to get the songs which were copied from CDs and downloaded from a different source other then iTunes Store. And also you will lose all your Playlist and other iTunes settings and will have to recreate your Playlist etc. -

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was designed for you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchased content.

I had all of my pictures (about 1000) in icloud and i went from an iphone 4s to the 5s. Well my pictures were there when i first activated the phone but after i did the update they were ALL gone and it would be really fantastic if i could have all of my pictures restored onto my new phone since i thought that was the whole point in having the icloud. doesnt do me any good if i cant actually have any of my pictures that i saved to icloud for this very reason. when i upgraded i could keep my pictures. icloud.com doesnt help. none of the settings in my phone help. i feel like im going to have to reset my entire device and start all over again like its new. which i really dont want to do.
Navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and install any updates available.
Navigate to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all contents and settings on the device you want to restore.
When this completes and the Set-Up Assistant starts, choose "Restore from iCloud Backup" and enter your iCloud account and password. You will see the three most recent backups for each of the devices on which you enabled Backup. Choose which backup to restore from. -

You have to sign out completely and then sign back in.
On a Mac, System Preferences>iCloud and click 'Sign out'.
On an iOS device, Settings>iCloud and click 'Delete account' (this will not delete the account from the server).
Your synced data will disappear from your devices when you sign out, but reappear when you sign back in (give it time). -

Can someone explain the icloud to me please? Where are all my old pictures and how can I see them? Photostream only holds 1000 and when I sync my icloud to my mac it only imports what is on my photo stream.
When you enable photo stream on your Mac, in imports photos currently in your photo stream. However, photo stream only keeps photos for 30 days, even though up to 1000 photos will remain on your device until you delete them. When you enable photo stream on your Mac, you will only receive photos added in the last 30 days, as the others are no longer in your photo stream.
If you want to get all your old photos on your Mac, save them to your camera roll (if they aren't already there) by opening your photo stream album, tapping Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll. Once they are in your camera roll, import them to your Mac as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Another option would be to create a shared photo stream containing the older photos and invite yourself (as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99). Then check Shared Photo Streams in iPhoto>Preferences>Photo Stream and you will see this shared photo stream on your Mac. -

There is no such warning on the Irish Apple site.!
My point was that, I would not have even considered trying to reorganize my itunes library had I known that the feature is not available in Ireland.
And that falls into the domain of Apple Ireland advertising.. which I"m sorry to say is false and misleading.
There are no "posters" telling the Irish customer that icloud / itunes music is not available!
I"m not blaming Apple for not "having the feature" in Ireland.. I am upset at them for falsing advertising a feature that they cannot for whatever reason deliver to Irish customers..

In order to sign out of your iCloud account that had a ID change, you would need to change the account back to the original. The reason for that is probably due to the Find my device feature and it needs to verify and if that iCloud account does not exist because of the name change and you cannot sign out. Changing it back is pretty easy and should not ask you to verify but once you change it and sign out, you can change it back to what you want it to be. The iPad 1, coming up on three years since it was introduced, has been given two major and a number of minor upgrades to iOS, more than many tablet manufactures provide. The iPad 1's hardware just can't effectively support many of the features in iOS 6. So I don't think that it's particularly unfair for Apple to no longer provide updates. And yes, I do own and manage a number of iPad 1s.
