Hello, I want to develop an application that must interact with a Oracle Database Express Edition. How could I make a connection to it and display, for example, a table from the database in a JSP using JSF in Jdeveloper.

I have installed Jdeveloper 10.1.3.1.0 and Oracle database Express edition 10g on the same machine.I want to connect to the database from Jdeveloper but i get the message "The Network Adapter could not establish the connection" , when i test the connection. The listener is running and am able to connect to database using SQL Plus.
I have tried various methods like giving the ipaddress and giving the URL, looking at the JDBC configuration wizard given in the documentation , but of no use .. can anyone please suggest me how to connect??

If you didn't make an in-app purchase within the app then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
You may also want to turn off in-app purchases via Settings > General > Restrictions > In-App Purchases 'off'

Until the MacBook Air was released and supported in 10.5, the Mac did not consider USB to be a valid Networking Protocol. So set the Mac with USB solutions aside.
To connect computer-to-computer, you typically need to be using an Ethernet crossover cable. Assigning the same address to two Ethernet devices is never the solution -- it gives a Network Conflict, just as you said.
If your Windows box has some mechanism for Sharing its WiFi connection over Ethernet, you would have to follow its rules. Whether that means Manually assigning an Ethernet Address in the same range or the PC will provide the Address, I do not know.
Best success may be running an Ethernet cable to your Wired/Wireless Base Station, or using a "gaming adapter" (Ethernet-to-Wireless no drivers required) connected to the Mac's Ethernet port to give it WiFi access. What is your Base Station {Cable, DSL, FIOS, Other} ? Ethernet cables can be up to 100 meters (an American Football Field). Often the Base Station can be moved closer for more convenience.

Also, I received a SQL Server dump file of some sort. Is there any way to read this file in SQL Developer and migrate the db to Oracle? Unfortunately I don't have raw DDL and DML for this database--just some sort of a binary dump file from SQL Server.

Are you using SQL Developer 1.5.3 or 1.5.4?
If using an older version (i.e. 1.5.3), then you'll have to add a DLL to your environment. This is [ntlauth.dll].
If you don't find this DLL in your SQL Developer directory, then obtain the JDBC SQL SERVER Pluggin (jtds-1.2.2-dist.zip) from:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=33291&package_id=25350
Copy the ntlmauth.dll in the ...\\...\ide\lib directory (no need to register it).
Note: this approach should work if using DQL Developer 1.5.3 and SQL Server Express 2008

I created second dabase by DBCA but failed to create windows service OracleDBConsoleSID2 service.
How could I make OracleDBConsoleSID2 service ?
I am trying emca -config dbcontrol db -repos create now.

What different ORACLE_HOME? Are your two databases running from different ORACLE_HOMES? If so, why? (There are real and legitimate reasons, but we need to establish your environment, not some theoretical one). Of course you set ORACLE_HOME to that of the database you are trying to configure.
What different listener? One single listener, using the default name of LISTENER and the default port of 1521, is quite capable of -- indeed, was designed to -- service multiple database instances of multiple versions running from multiple oracle homes.
What "first databases in the emca .... create setting"? Each database is configured for dbcontrol completely separate, apart and independent from any others. If you are configuring multiple databases on the same server, it makes no difference which one you configure first, and the only effect the configuration of that database will have on any others will be in the port oracle selects to use for the dbconsole.

Unfortunately, the recording & movie industry does not respect the rights of the people who make them money, and thus you can only use the paid-for content in ways they see fit. Even if I lived in a bunker where no one else could possibly see the movie I paid for, therefor I'm not 'sharing it illegally', I would still not be allowed in a blue moon to copy that movie to DVD for TV viewing. Someone will tell you to get an AppleTV. How about Apple give us one for free?
