How do i access a third party .class file

Hi,
I am new to both java and enterprise 8, and would greatly appreciate some help.
I have a third party .class file and want to include it in a project so i can call it's methods etc. I can access it by creating an object as follows
thirdPartyClass tpc= new thirdPartyClass();and then create a .class file of my own using javac at the command line without any probles, but if I use the same code in enterprise 8 it reports an error stating "cannot access MyProjectName.thirdPartyClass" could someone please tell me how to reference this file as so far I have not been able to find anything.
Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the suggestions it appears I was doing more or less the right things but miss reading the error message:
Cannot access keyword.classes.thirdPartyClass
bad class file C:\java\keyword\classes\thirdPartyClass
class file contains wrong class: thirdPartyClass
please remove or make sure it appears in the correct subdirectroy of the classpath.
While looking I have found that the classes do not contian src folders of Javadoc so I will go see if the third party can supply a Jar file or similar.
Thanks

  • Setting path for third party class files

I am using some third party classfiles in my JSPs for JDBC. When I use these files, in normal Java Programs everything is working fine ( I am setting the path by using the CLASSPATH environment variable).
I did not understandt how to set classpath for these files (com.informix.jdbc.*) for use in iplanet 6.0.
I have tried to keep this "com" folder in /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.3_01/lib folder, but, it is not still working. I tried to change the start-jvm file, but, I am still having problems.

I changed the jvm12.conf file, but, it did not work. I changed the JDK Runtime Classpath in the Global Settings tab of the Administration Server and restarted both the webserver and the administration server and it worked.

  • Unable to access classes in third party jar files packaged with my ejb.jar

I have packaged some third party jar files in my xxx_ejb.jar file.  The third party jar file contains classes that are accessed by some custom classes which are in turn accessed by my bean classes.  I get the following error when my custom classes attempt to use any of the classes in one of the third party jar files:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/Ostermiller/util/CSVParser
Shouldn't I be able to access classes in jar files that are packaged with my xxx_ejb.jar file?  I see the xxx_ejb.jar file as a resource of the application classloader that contains it but I don't see the third party jar files.

As per the Java EE specification, additional JAR files should be packaged on the EAR level. Only WAR files' WEB-INF/lib folder is scanned for JAR files to be added to the classloader.

  • How to access the third party plugin

i am new to javascript and InDesign.now my work is to access the Third Party plugin styles, the third Pary plugin is all about InMath.
is it possible to access third party plugin through java prgramming.
    plz help me.....
    by
    subha

Hello, I'm not a very accomplished JavaScripter, but have found that you can access some InMath at least in CS3. I only needed to be able to refresh the InMath styles from a script.
    If you run this script...
    app.menuActions.everyItem().name;
it will return the names of all the available menu actions. The list is quite long, but it includes some of the InMath actions. At least the ones you can assign keyboard shortcuts to. In my case, I needed to refresh the InMath styles from a script. So I found the name of the InMath menu action that was returned from the above script (Refresh All InMath Expressions) and was able to make a script that refreshed the styles like this.
    app.menuActions.itemByName("Refresh All InMath Expressions").invoke();
However, I'm trying to figure out how to do this in CS2 because my client is still using CS2 and can't find the CS2 version of menuActions.
I think I read your other post about the find/change fillColor bug. I was stuck in the same place and now have it working thanks to the posted help. I was working on a script that would fix fractions based on their colors.
    Hope this helps.

  • Memory leaks with Third party classes

    Hello all,
This is fairly known problem. But I guess, my problem gives a new dimention to the problem.
I have an application which is developed by me. This application ideally needed to use third party classes ( obviously no source code is supplied ). These third party classes provide extra functionality required.
The problem is, when I don't use third party classes in my application, every thing is fine. When I include third party classes, I am having memory leaks.
Then I tried to investigate memory leaks with Optimizeit tool. It is new to me. As of now, I understood, we can identify where the memory leaks are occuring.
finally the problem is, in order to solve this, I need some patches in the code. But I don't have source code for those classes. How to solve this problem?
    For example,
I use a third party classes in my code like this,
    ThirdPartyMemoryLeakClass obj = new ThirdPartyMemoryLeakClass();
This 'obj' is made static, as it takes lot of time to create this object. Obviously this object contains several references to other objects, which I can't control.
In the process of reusing this object, I am getting memory leaks.
Any ideas regarding, how one has to deal this type of situations? What are the issues involved with this case? Are there any similar problems, which have been solved? are most welcome.
    many thanks for your time.
    Madhav

Decompile it using jad. Find leak.Yes, I too got the idea and tried to decompile those classes and recompile. I had some problems while recompiling. Is this is the only way to get rid of this problem?
I was refering to powersoft.datawindow.DataStore class. Does any body here has worked on these?
Can you suggest me how to find the memory leak causes? if you were needed to find out memory leak causes, what would be your approach?

  • How to do XMLDSig using third-party JCA providers?

    Hi all,
Can anyone please let me know how to do XMLDSig using third-party JCA providers? The Sun XMLDsig documentation says that "A JSR 105 implementation SHOULD use underlying JCA engine classes, such as java.security.Signature and java.security.MessageDigest to perform cryptographic operations", but it doesn't say how to define the JCA provider programmatically. I don't want to change the Providers order in the security.properties file.
Do we need to make any changes in the JCA provider classes to work with XMLDSig and XML encrypt?
    I'd appreciate your help.

When you use an executable jar the normal class path
is ignored, but you can put a classpath inside the
jar. The usual trick is to place the library jar
files in a directory inside the application directory
and direct the manifest file to it. The manifest file
live in the jar inside the META-INF directory and
    it's called manifest.mf
The two heavilly used entries are Main-class: and
    Class-path: lines. Class-path just has a
    comma-separated list of library paths.
The jar utility has a special option to load it up.Thanks :) I created a "/lib" directory, placed in the packages in there and redirected the Class-Path: lib/commons-net-1.4.1.jar
    and it works,
    thank you everyone :)

  • Deploying Common-utilities and Third-party Classes

In your documentation you state that several jar-libraries (containing
utilities, third-party classes, jdbc-drivers and also I suppose classes for
custom realms) needs to added to the Java system classpath.
This probably also means that they will not be distributed from the
administration server to the managed servers as applications does. Since
most non-trivial applications include startups, custom realms and so forth
it renders the distribution feature (ie. from admin server to managed
server) virtually useless. Installs needs to be made on all nodes anyway.
One example on a solution for this is to distribute these jar-libraries to
the new node-manager which then starts up the server with these jar-files on
    the classpath?
Also one could include the startup and shutdown-classes in a
weblogic-specific enterprise application deployment-descriptor so that these
are run in the same classloader as the enterprise application. Most
non-trivial startups probably needs to run in this classloader anyway. (If
they for example access ejbs etc.)
An alternative implementation would be to specify a servlet with a
load-on-startup, but I'm not sure at what time the servlet will be loaded.
Is this a recommended strategy for startup-classes that needs to run in the
    application classloader?

  • How can I configure a third party VME board with A24 address space using a VME-MXI-2?

    Hi!
We are trying to establish communications to a Galil Motion controller with a VME interface. Galil states that they are using a A24 address scheme with A16 data space for their board.
I am confused how to configure that board in the VME chassis properly.
The base address provided by Galil is 91Fxxx, I am assuming that the lower three nibbles are the registers that I can talk to?!
How do I set the address range under the resource setting for that board?
Also, I noticed in MAX that one board shows up with a slot number unknown, one with slot #0 and this board I have set to slot #1. I assume that the unknown part is for the PCI card that makes up for the 1/2 of the PCI to VME bridge?
The VISA VIs (Register based access) returns either a bus error, an invalid offset specified or data. However, we are completely in the dark when it does return data, since the expected offset we are typing in causes one of the two errors.
Our assumption of the problem is that we do not understand how to properly configure that third party board as a resource. It has also happened that the resource manager is hanging up the PC completely. Not even CTRL-ALT-DEL works and the MXI activity LED on the NI-VME-MXI-2 board stays on during the hand up.
We would appreciate, if somebody could walk us through the configuration process, step-by-step. Specifically, please explain how to setup the base address and how the offsets relate to this on a A24 address scheme. We are completely new to the VME bus interface, so even trivial things may be unkown to us.
We have browsed NI's page and manuals for explanations, however, we could not find any answers to our questions.
We noticed a formula for an A16 board that takes the base address and adds the logical address to it plus 40hex. Do we have to do the same or something similar to the A24 board????
We also came accross an option that would allow the board (NI VME controller) to share its memory with A24 or A32 space? Do we need to enable that? What is the purpose for that?
    Best,
    Markus Tarin

When I did not get a response here, I had to open a ticket with support.  The short answer is that you cannot customize the SAML response when using Azure AD as an IdP.
    Response from support:
I discussed the issue with senior engineers to get action plan for this issue. After doing research Senior engineers updated me that we cannot add a custom attribute to the default
    SAML response of Azure AD.
Below is the link to get the list of available attributes
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/dn195587.aspx
As default SAML response from Azure AD , we have email address of the user sent out as attribute value for the Attribute " NAME ".
They suggested me to configure the application we are trying to integrate with Azure AD in such a way that it transforms the Attribute  " NAME " into " EMAIL
This was not particularly helpful in my case as I did not have any control over the 3rd party which specifically documented that they would not extract the email address from the name attribute.

    Jeff

  • Marshalling third party classes with JAXB
