How do I break up a large PDF into 8"x11" pieces and print?

I downloaded a super large PDF map that probably has to be split into at least ten 8.5"x11" pages in order to print
(and then i will have to splice/tape the printed pages together, to form the map).
So my question is:
How do I tell Photoshop (or just Acrobat??) to split the massive image up, so that it prints in pieces properly onto 8x11 pages?
thank you for any advice!

It is certainly a good point that, if they need the files separately, and don't even know how to use Acrobat to split it themselves, it might lead one to question their expertise in the PDF field.

    Just use Drop Box instead.

How do I insert pages from one PDF into the current PDF in Acrobat X pro?  I was able to do this from the Edit menu in Acrobat 8 pro.  Appreciate instructions.  Thanks.

    Hi chemadberk,
In my Acrobat 8 Pro, Insert Pages is under the Document menu but anyway...
In Acrobat X, click on the Tools pane(upper right side) then navigate to Pages- the Insert Pages commands are located there.
    Hope this helps,

  • When i import my AutoCad PDF into photoshop my lines and text become blurry. How do i fix this

When i import my AutoCad PDF into photoshop my lines and text become blurry. How do i fix this?
Is it resizing as I import it  or maybe a printer thing?

It is rasterizing the PDF at the resolution you tell it to, unless it's an image only PDF - then the image will be opened as-is.

it seems my subscription had expired so I signed up again.. It was still having trouble so I repeated the sign up process again.. Then it worked perfectly.. Unfortunately, I think I just subscribed twice and need to cancel one of them. Ugh. Such a pain when I'm trying to get this project completed. I'll be canceling at least one of the subscriptions in the morning. Adobe is not my favorite company right now. None of this was intuitive. And trying to get help was an absolute waste of an hour.

Is there a way to import a .pdf into a pages document and have it wrap to a 2nd page?

Are we talking about a spread? ie the pdf spans 2 pages side by side? Like in a magazine centrefold.
That requires you to insert the pdf on both pages, one hanging half over to the right and the other half over to the left.

I have a MacBook Pro. How do I capture a still picture from a video in iMovie and print the still picture?

Click iMovie/About. If you have version 9.0.4 (iMovie 11) this will work. If you have an earlier version, this will also work, but there are also other ways.
First, get an app called MPEG Streamclip, which is free. (MPEG Streamclip from Squared 5)
    Open MPEG Streamclip.
In iMovie, select the clip you need. Then, right-click/Reveal in Finder.
Drag this clip into MPEG Streamclip
In MPEG Streamclip, move the playhead to the frame you want.
In MPEG Streamclip, click FILE/EXPORT FRAME.
Choose JPEG, TIFF, or PNG and give it a name.
You can then drag this photo into iPhoto.
I have created a short video Tutorial on how to do this. There is one error in the Tutorial, where it says that Command-click is the same as right-click. I should have said Control-click instead.

  • How to convert a large PDF into smaller files

How does one convert a large PDF file into smaller files and not get odd page breaks.  Need to get the page breaks at the headers.  Just looking for instructions for an end user of Acrobat Pro who reports getting random page breaks and couldn't get help from the Adobe help desk.  I was directed here when I tried to contact support ... Figure this forum may have information. ... thanks.

You can't. If you split the file into pages it will remain in the same layout the original has. PDF files were not meant to be edited in the way you're describing.

  • How to split a large PDF into many smaller PDFs

In my wanderings, I couldn't find an answer to this question. Thus my post.
I have a large, 20 page, pdf. I'd like to split that pdf into 10 two page pdfs. How can I do it?
The 20 pager is a pdf of a number of account statements. The account statements varying in length from 1 to 3 pages. I'd like to split the pdf so I end up with one pdf per account.
In advance, thank you for your help

    Hi.
It's simple: open the PDF, go to File, Print, and in the print dialog select Copies & Pages, enter the range you want, click PDF/Save as PDF.
    Good Luck.

  • How do I insert a single page pdf into a much larger 1,000 page pdf so that it is inserted on every other page of the large document?

I essentially have one large pdf document (1,050 total pages) that consists of 525 individual 2-page letters. I have a second pdf document that is just 1 page, but needs to be inserted 525 times so that it is incorporated into each of the 525 individual 2-page letters, making them all 3 pages now.

You may need to either use JavaScript or an Acrobat Action or a combination of both items.

  • How to break up a large document into multiple pages?

Sorry for my newbie questions, but I am really new to Illustrator (CS6 on Windows)...
I am creating a poster in A1 format.  My printer can only print up to A4, so I would like to break up my poster into 8 A4 pages to print a preview before sending the doc off to the printer.
Is there a way to easily do this?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

    Go to View>Show Print Tiling
    then go to File>Print
From the page Size select A4
In the Print Dialog select from the Scaling optionsTile Full Pages from the drop down
Youy will see the tiling you need  9 pages BTW
One of the problems you cane see right away is that the pages are butted by the tiling and your printed might need a border on all edges.
So tio compensate for this you need to have a little bit of an overlap that changes the tiling but when you trim the paper to the edge of the actual print area on the page and lay the pages on top of one another you will be able match them.
I chose .5 inch for the overlap. You will have to figure out the amount you need for your printer.
So in the print dialog to the right of the Scale Option Enter an over lap amount as well
You can do it with separate artboards but you will have a hard time when it comes to the overlap.
