How do I calculate the a grandtotal field adding 3 numberic values that are calculate in the form

Currently I am creating a form:
Hours
Rate
Total
Hours 1 (manually entered)
Rate 1 (manually entered)
Hours 1 * Rate1
Hours 2 (manually entered)
Rate 2 (manually entered)
Hours 2 * Rate 2
Hours 3 (manually entered)
Rate 3 (manually entered)
Hours 3 * Rate 3
Total
Grand Total of three columns above
Currently I wrote the formcal as:
sum (Amount_Total1, Amount_Total2, Amount_Total3)
however when I check the form, I get an error message that says that Grand Total is unknown and Amount_Total1 is unknown however, the Amount_Total1 field does calcuate the total of hours1 X rate1.
what am I doing wrong?
Currently I'm using LiveCycle ES 8.2

The add annotations field shows as not allowed in the security options. So how do I send this form back with the changes??

I think you you need to click 'save' first, then it is saved to acrobat, where it will prompt to send.

If there are Acrobat PDF form fields, not jus a space for a form field, then you will have to add them. It would be better to ask the provider of the form to add the fields. If you cannot add the fields, then you can use the add text feature.
Have you looked in the "Tools" panel for the "Forms" category?

You could use the "Email Receipts" or Email Notification" features in Options tab.

You will need to add a email field to your form requesting the form-submitter to enter his/her email so that after the form-submit an email is sent to him/her.

Sorting in iTunes changed - How do I get the former method restored?

For a couple years I used iTunes for Windows with 2 music content folders - the normal iTunes folder(s) under my Windows profile in which I kept iTunes-purchases and iTunes CD-ripped songs, and one in c:\mp3 for unprotected ripped or purchased MP3 files. Until I made a change in iTunes, I had the following sort order properties when the corresponding header bar was clicked:

The same sort of effect was seen when sorting by Artist or Album or whatever.
I decided I wanted ONE music folder. On advice from a magazine (Maximum PC) column, in preferences I chose to have iTunes organize my music (previously unchecked) and then in the advanced tab chose to iTunes Consolidate my music. It copied my music and everything initially looked fine. But, after looking more carefully, I saw the following new effect:

It's as if the entire sort order algorthm is different as regards punctuation and numerals. So, I unchecked the option to have iTunes "organize" my music, but the order didn't change.
What am I missing here?? How do I get the former order back to column sorting?
I'd appreciate any help you could give me - this is pretty annoying.

Get info and change the sort field(s) for one song,
then click Apply.
Right click the song and select Apply sort field and
pick which you want.
Unfortunately this is not working as intended with iTunes 7.3 for Windows (Mac too?). The "Apply Sort Field ..." does apply the new Sort Artist, Sort Album, etc. to related songs, but iTunes refuses to recognize that the songs were updated. If you check the tags, sure enough their Sort Artist, etc. have been updated, but iTunes does not seem to make use of the change. The only way I've been able to make it work is to go back into Get Info for each song and just cycle through them one-by-one without changing anything. As you cycle through, then the songs move to their proper sort order based on the updated sorting option. This wasn't the case with 7.2, so this would be a new bug.

I was hoping someone could put me in the right direction here. I am basically doing the same . I am decodeing the information stored in a 2D Bar code and sending this information to an XML file, then I am trying to combine that xml file with a blank PDF template but the process is failing beacuse there are some additional tag fields the XML data from the Decode->Extract XML process.
The XML file from the decode process gives the structure below..notice therer some extra tags (lines 2- 4)

well, I'm not asking you to explain about how an implicit enhancement can be done. i was just referring to the two options posted in the reply. Is there any other way out apart from the implicit enhancement option. i do find class CL_BS useful as the Method ADD_RECIPIENT gets triggered . even though there's no attachment option in the screen that pops up after the method ADD_RECIPIENT is triggered. would anybody suggest me as how to proceed further to capture the values though without attachment details

I don't understand why the value which should be 0 is actually greater than 0.
How do you determine that the value should be 0, such as no flow, even if the value is greater than 0?

Hello Ryan,
The system itself may have an offset of 0.1 V which in the program is related to flow. I do not wish to add this .1 as flow. I want to beable to reset the values to 0 and then when there is flow, to add the flow. If you purchase a program from some vendors you can zero the channel, that is my goal. I want this to be automatic when a switch is pressed. Such as: for 20 seconds, average channel, and use that value as 0 flow then add flow?? I was told averaging may work??

For the key figures, the option of "Calculate Results As Average of Detailed Values That Are Not Zero, Null, or Error" works fine for characteristics drilldown without hierarchies, but with hierarchies it simply doesn't work; instead of calculate the overall result as average, the system calculates it as SUM. It works like the option "Nothing Defined" where the results provided by the analytic engine are displayed. No local calculation takes place.
How can I do to display the overall result of hierarchical drilldown of a characteristic as an average?

It is usually best to just keep it as simple as possible. What do you think the code in the OR Array Elements does? I imagine it is just a simple FOR loop with a variable to keep the latest OR. So I would do what GerdW just showed with the FOR loop.

1) Is it possible to restrict the filter values that are shown in the selection screen in BEx web? When a user are asked to enter a material number and uses the selection button in BEx web, he should only see material numbers for one specific plant. How is this done?
2) Is it possible to remove the selection button for å characteristic filter in the selection screen in BEx web? The selection button I am talking about is the button to the right of where you enter the filter value (two white papers on top of each other). If there is no solution for question 1 we have to go for question 2 solution.
We are using BI 04s, SP 09.

It seems that you would like the user to see value for 1 single plant. If the Plant Value is fixed then you can use this value in the Query and hardcode it.> in the query go to the Plant Chrac and keep a constant value of the Plant.
How ever if you need this value to be dynamic then use a variable for customer exit and populate this value using ABAP.

One other item I thought I would pass along...
I noticed that the NVG589 gets terribly confused if a device behind it isn't setup properly first to be a static address.
Here's the behavior: Say you have a router of your own and you intend to give it one of the addresses from your static IP block. You decide to set it up first and don't make the changes initially in the 589 to force it to be a static IP of some kind-- whether in the private or the public block. You configure the router in this case with DHCP. Your router starts handing out addresses in its own IP range however your configured it.
But look what the 589 thinks is happening: it sees the DHCP client name associated with the same MAC address changing constantly. It makes entries for each different client name in its device list, sometimes aging out, sometimes not.
Now trying to save the private IP will result in a "missing data" error. Worse, trying to change things to a public static IP will result in similar messages about the IP being in the wrong range.
The same issue can also occur if the device was setup statically in the private range and you try to change it to a public static IP.
The only way to fix this:
1) If you intend to advertise the router on an IP from your static block, disconnect all devices from the router and the RG, except for the router you want to setup. Wait for the RG to see them as "offline" in the device list. Alternatively, if you intend to setup another device or server on a Static IP, make sure it is the only device connected to the RG.
2) Switch the IP allocation to "Public"
3) Renew the lease on the device
4) Go into the IP Allocation page and fix the IP to one of the public static IPs from your pool
5) Reconnect all devices.
Generally, the best practice is to setup each static IP device before connecting any others to the RG.
