I have a FILE to FILE scenario WITHOUT repository objects.
What I need to do is to add a time stamp at the end of the target file.
By default, the "Add timestamp" option in the file receiver communication channel makes the filename as *YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS-xxx
What I need to have is the date&time format as MMDDYY_HHMISS.
Are there any modules by default in SAP PI in which I can manipulate this stuff? Or is there other way to do this?

There is one posibility is that you add the time stamp in the message mapping in the parent level, with the function current Date and with one UDF with the function http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File.
You need too that the FCC have activate in the Advanced adapter File Name.
And one FCC Dinamical apointing at your ERP with the flag take Sender form Payload.

Hi Harman,
By default query shows same date setting what is maitianed in SU01 (user maintenance). User can set the dates as they want. Ask user to log in BI system and go to system> User Profile> Own Data. They can select the date format and save the changes.
If you want to display same setting for all user, please select the format whenever you create any users and change for existing users.

   I have a input field "receipt_date" with is of char20 type. It contains date and timestamp value like 20090429T054509.000Z
   In my ABAP code I want to validate if "receipt_date" value is in the format YYYYMMDDTHHMMSS.MMMZ. If not then display error message. How can do this validation? Is there any existing function module that does this kind of validation? Please help!

Can you check whether the FM CACS_TIMESTAMP_GET_DATE is available in XApps? If yes, use this to identify a valid timestamp.
Sample code:
    CALL FUNCTION 'CACS_TIMESTAMP_GET_DATE'
      EXPORTING
        i_timestamp = lv_stamp
      IMPORTING
        e_date      = lv_datum
        e_time      = lv_time.

even if we select heading1 , the selected text should appear in H1 tag. But it is not happening. Can i know why it is so???

Looking at snapshot I see paragraph is missing might be some customization done.
As a sanity check download Enable-all-RTE-features-*.zip from package manager & verify.

Can someone tell me how/where I can change the email address where Forum alerts are directed?

I have changed my email address at the office, and I can no longer see the alerts sent from the forums.
I have seen some forum posts indicating I should go to My Settings, but I cannot see where to start that flow.
Is it even possible to change the target email address for forum alerts?

In the forums you should see "Quick Access" at the top left of most pages. If not, click the small arrow at top left to expand the left rail. You can then click "Quick Access" and select "My Settings". You can see what I'm talking about in the first
few images in this Wiki article:

How do we can change the last done dates of Planned operation by EM orders?

Hi colleagues
i defined four opertions for one equipment as performance based or time based plans and scheduled it for next month. then we received a EM notification for mentioned equipment. we iisued order for EM notification and maintenance opertor carried out the orders but while he doing the EM process , he did two opertion of preventive maintenance from mentioned plan.
we can add mentioned operations in EM orders as operations but the question is that after we confirm the EM orders and enter the actual dates , and it seems that the last done dates of assigned two operations must be change in PM plans.!
Is there any solution for it or not?

actually i want change the last done dates of some opetions in my scheduled maintenance orders by assigning them to EM orders as operations.
for example:
i received a EM orders with this description : oil leakage from sight glass of hydraulic pumps
in the proceesing of EM order , i will eliminate the leakage and also change the oil of pump .
the changing the oils is the one of our shecduled Maintenance plan that is it would be called on next month.
in the confirmation of EM order , i will add this operation from equipment task list ( change the oil) and enter the dates and another data.
it's obvious that mentioned opertion should not be schedule on next month and according to it's package sequence , the new date for changing the oil must be 3 month later form the date that we entered on EM order.

My user id is changed from userxx to useryy,
I have some objects which userxx developed and activated, so now I want to work/access the objects logging with useryy.
I get the message saying userxx has the object locked, you can trafnsfer objects to ur change list but,
when I ma trying I see the transfer option on those change list is disabled.

First unlock the object as krishna said and then reassign ie., transfer his changed list under your name. Then you activate it.
When ever one user is working on the object and another tries to edit then you will have this message.

How to get last change timestamp for a crystal/webi and deski reports

I am currently using LAST_UPDATED_TS from CI_INFOOBJECTS to determine the report has changed in structure like a new object was added to the report etc
but this field gets updated everytime a report is refreshed though nothing has changed in the report
is there any way to know that the report has changed in structure and not just refreshed.

Correct, when you query the CMS database it will return the info for the object and not the source.
In code you can use this for Crystal Reports:
reportClientDocument.SummaryInfo.( multiple values )
This is the info saved with the RPT file, you can also use Windows File API's to get the same info.
For WEBI and DESKI doc's it does not keep that info in the file system. You may want to look at the file system properties in the FRS to see if any info is kept as it is in RPT files but we ahve no API to get the info.

Does anybody know how to change date format in BR?
I created global variable with type DateAsNumber and usage type run-time promt and used it in BR
Then I launched a BR on the form and chose necessary date. Date stored in MM/DD/YYYY format, but I need DD/MM/YYYY.
I tried to change format through Planning but then I recieved uncorect result(for instance, I selected 4(April)/14/2009 but it was stored as 4/02/2010)

the date is always stored the same in Essbase. I think it's YYYYMMDD.
You can change the format you enter the date in webforms and business rules by changing your planning application settings (Preferences->Display Options).

I want to display date in dd/mm/yyyy, but by default its showing mm/dd/yyyy.
Delta is already loaded in the system, so i don't want to disturb regular data loading.

Changing video format

This may be a really stupid question, but, is there any way you can change the format of a recorded video from your iphone, or rotate it, when it's transferred to your laptop? I recorded a video holding the phone vertically, and when I transferred the video to my laptop, it plays the way i recorded it, but turned to the side..so the video itself is vertical, how it was recorded, but it's displayed horizontally...can anyone help? Is there a program that can fix this? I know I'll have to remember to record videos the other way...
