How do i change the color of text boxes and the texts that i enter in them?

I recently changed my system's color settings and now the text boxes in Firefox are dark grey. This is fine when the text happens to show up as white, but when it shows up as black, I can't read what I'm typing. (I'm not clear on what makes the difference. The box I'm typing this in now happens to be dark grey with white text.) I've tried playing around with settings within Firefox preferences and in my OS' (Kubuntu) system settings, and haven't yet been able to identify what settings exactly might change this specific aspect.

Two possible ways are available
Set the text with and html text string like "<html>" + text + "</html>"
or get the cellrenderer, cast to the DefaultCellRenderer and call setForeground or background or implement or your own cellrenderer to do the custom coloring (this could maybe depend on indexes)

Sorry to disturb you guys with a quite simple question.
I want to do a calendar view to display the period of absence for the portal user. I've setup the iView but it displays neither the color of time period nor the legend.
The problem is:
1) If I test with static legend (that is, I input the time period directly in the form instead of using data service),
 a) I could only define one time period, because it's impossible to map the out port of calendar to in port of form on defining the event as 'goto'.
 b) I can't see the color displayd while deploying although there is just one time period! Neither the legend. I' ve given the label and color of the legend and assigned the action as default in design board. Why it doesn't work?
2) If I test with dynamic legend following the chapter "Display Date on a Calendar" in the Modeler's Guide of VC;
 I assigned @RECORDNR to 'ID legend field', and used BAPI_ABSENCE_GETLIST as dynamic legend data service to edit the legend, and assigned the color for every ID. But neither color nor legend could kindly appear. What's the problem? Is there any error in the edit of entry list of the legend?

Flowing text from 1 text box to another works perfectly and pages are automatically added when needed, but what happen if you need 2 separated flowing text boxes?
For example one with italian text on the left side and one for english on the right side of the same page?
No way to have 2 flowing text box on the same page!!
Because of the tag "body", you can use it only once in the page! No other tags "body2", or "bodyITA" can be added to create a parallel flowing box text on the same page.
Somebody has an idea for that.
Of course the only possible solution at the moment is create in sequence: Flowing Italian text and, at the end of italian add the english flowing text.....This is a touch books about a museum and people around the wordl need to see immediately the text without foldin pages with another language to reach the correct one!

You can use standard password security to allow form filling but disallow commenting, which includes adding text boxes.

If you are meaning can you replace your existing blog template with a different template, the answer is yes, just copy and paste your entries onto the new blog and then delete the old one.

hm ... set a "System.out.println("name of the panel");" before each call to the show-method, to see (on the console), if this if-statement-block is executed - perhaps the spelling of the string and the item don't match - that is case-sensitve - you can try to use .equalsIgnoreCase instead of .equals

Can you have scrollable text with a tinted colour frame beneath it that sits on top of a MSO slide show?

Thanks for the reply. Attached is a screen grab of the sort of theing I'm trying to do. The text bottom right is a scrollabel frame, and the background image is a slide show. When I preview it on the ipad, the background slideshow works, green coloured background to the text box and the graphics dissapper, but the scrollable text stays.
Any Help?

The box will print... but there is no way to just assign a color to a box. The closest you can get is ot create a small solid colored image in Photoshop and assign that to the box. You may get a resolution warning but as long as it's a solid color it does not matter how few pixels you have.

How can I drag the edge/resize a text box on the 3rd row w/o changing all the rows above it?

I am new to Acrobat and FormsCentral of course.
I have three rows of text boxes, something like this:
Name
(other text fields)
Primary Address
I want the input box to be immediately following the label; for example (pretend the underline is the input box:

(other text fields)
Primary Address ___________
However, Forms Central looks like this:
Name _________________
(other text fields)
Primary
Address ______________
When I try to edit the Primary Address box, either by dragging the right label edge or the left text box edge on that field, it also drags the edges of the fields above it!
Is there a way NOT to do this?
I've been trying to find tutorials on how to manipulate the design/layout of the forms, but so far all the YouTube and other tutorials I've seen simply do a vertical form, one field per line.

You can change the size of the label, the text input box, and the field itself (border around the field in the design tab) - however there is one exception to being able to control the size of every field individually:
Fields that have "Labels left" or "Labels right" that are also the first field in a row will all share the same label width.
This is probably what you are encountering, this is how the fields work for now, those first in a row label left/right labels are all the same width.

I'm having trouble writing titles in X. I dont' see a text box where the online advice says I should. All I see is how to change the font, size etc

First select the title you have connected to the clip:
Before selecting the clip, there is 'nothing to inspect' shown in the inspector window. But after selecting the title:
you will find the data on the inspector window.
Next place your cursor on the empty box that shows up in the viewer and double click. As I had already entered my text, I placed my cursor on the green colored text 'exercise' and double clicked on it:
When you double click, the box gets highlighted and at the same time you will also have the dialog box opened up in the inspector window. You can add text either in the viewer or in the inspector window.

Take a look at this example, it uses property nodes to select tha
active plot and then changes the color of that plot.
If you want to make the number of plots dynamic you could use a for
loop and an array of color boxes.

One thing you should do though and that is to update Firefox via Help | Check For Updates.
There was a security breach at Comodo which is an SSL certificate provider recently whereby a number of fraudulent certificates were inadvertently issued. These allow a hacker to impersonate any site including online banking and the Firefox version you're running at the moment will not warn you that the site is a fake. The fraudulent certificates were blacklisted in v3.6.17 and beyond.
