How do I clear exclimation points!

I've recently networked my computers and moved all my music file to one computer.  Then I simply added the new file to each of my computers I tunes.  This results in every song that was on a given computer shows an exclimation point.  It is very tedious to delete evrey other track on each of the affected computers and

Bruce,
Do you know where the new location is, make sure all files are in same folder?
If so, double click a song with ! mark on side, you will be given an option to locate the file where the song is held. Select "locate" and direct it to the folder / file where the song is and open it.
iTunes then will give you the option to use this process to update all of your library.  OK that as this will do it automatically instead of doing them one by one.

I've been running iTunes on WinXP for years with few problems.  I have all my iTunes files on an external USB drive. I just bought a new PC running Win7, 64-bit.
I connected the external USB drive to the new PC and installed 64-bit iTunes on it. When iTunes started up, I pointed it at the iTunes directory in the external drive, using Edit > Preferences > Advanced > iTunes Media Folder Location. It showed a progress bar that it was updating the iTunes Library. I signed in and authorized the new machine. I have one spare authorization.
Then iTunes put up a message "The item you've requested is not currently available in the Hong Kong Store." I had not requested anything from the HK store at that point, and I have never used any store other than the HK one.
When I click OK, the iTunes Store page remains blank, apart from saying "iTunes Store" in the middle of the page.
I went to "View My Account" and pressed the Reset button to "Reset all warnings for buying and downloading items", but that doesn’t fix this particular warning. I also tried Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Reset Warnings and Rest Cache.
But still, every time I click the “App Store” button in the iTunes Store window, the message appears. If I click the Books, Podcasts or iTunesU buttons, these display normally.  So I’m stuck with being unable to purchase apps, other than through my iPad and iPhone.
If I move the external drive back to the XP machine, the same thing happens.  If I go to another PC - a notebook running Vista - everything is normal.
Any idea how I can clear that message?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Further info on my question above.
I have tried re-validating my credit card, which apparently fixed it for some.
I have also tried uninstalling, re-downloading and installing again.
Neither of these steps fixed the problem.

  • SAFARI 6: how do I clear Google search history?

There used to be an option at the bottom of the scroll down search bar for CLEAR SEARCH.
Now that Safari 6 has adopted the single info bar, that option seems to have disappeared.
So how do I clear search history?
I don't want to clear all history (i.e. sites visited),
    just search history.

    Thank you,
but the point of my question was precisely that in 2012,
the way that Google is presented within Safari is different
(e.g., there is now just a single search bar),
so some of the info on the old threads is no longer relevant.
That is why I titled the qustion clearly "SAFARI 6".
However, I have discovered the answer myself.
I think I was being just too impatient.
The same option of CLEAR RECENT SEARCHES  does come up
if you click and hold on the magnifying glass icon to the left of what is now the single Google search bar.
This click and hold opens a roll-down menu, and near the bottom is the CLEAR RECENT SEARCHES option.

  • 2500 Songs in Downloads on my iPhone - How can I clear them all at once?

Hi there - I was trying to get my driving playlist on my iPhone before I left (iTunes Match enabled) ... and started downloading 2500 songs.
Of course, I ran out of space.  I've since cleared up the space, but now I need to leave, and want to clear my download list.
I've tried deleting them one-at-a-time, but ... that's going to take hours.
I've tried turning off match and syncing them (this ultimately got most of the music on my phone, but still have 1400+ songs in the Downloads).
I've tried signing out of iTunes, and restarting my phone (apparently this worked in iOS5).
And I still have 1400+ songs waiting to download.
I've turned off the cellular download (so I don't get a holiday surprise from Verizon), but ...
How can I clear the "Pending" Downloads list in iTunes all at once?  There must be a workaround.

You should be able to correct that from the Errors tab on the right-hand side of the site window. It should show up as a Missing File. Select it, then point and shoot at the correct image file in the FIles tab on the left-hand side of the site window.

I just installed Yosemite, now I can't clear history without clearing cookies. How do I clear  history and keep cookies?

I think you guys make a great point, I too don't like how my cookies are erased when I clear history and have to use the go around. Just a reminder and I'm sure you all know, this is a user to user forum and Apple may or may not get to see your opinion. I think you should let them know. You can leave them feedback at the following url. https://www.apple.com/feedback/safari.html

If you don't mind spending the time.  You can install Windows 7 on the blank drive.  When you get to the point where it asks for the key, just click next (don't enter anything).  It will allow you to perform the installation, but it will require that you enter the key and activate with a few days... but this won't work for you as you'll get a message indicating your key is for an "upgrade" only.  Now, while you're in Windows, launch the Windows installer again from the DVD.  This time, choose an "upgrade" installation.  When promted for your key, your upgrade key will now work.
Basically, Windows just looks to see if there is an existing version of an OS installed (activated or not).  You're using the first Windows installation as the previous version.  Microsoft has recommended this method for similar situations.

  • How do i clear the  console

    Hi Experts
I need to know "how do i clear the console " and
"how do position the mouse cursor in x and y coorditates in a console "
    Thanks in advance

You don't. Or, it depends on the console. Depending on your point of view.
Java doesn't directly control it the same way that it controls an AWT window for example. It just sends bytes to it. If the console is capable of interpreting bytes in such a way to clear the screen, then it can.
Most consoles a person is likely to use will interpret VT100 commands. Look them up; try google. You can just output those commands and the console will do what they say, hopefully.
Sending a control-L (bye 0x0c, I think) may do it. Try that.
Or you can try the java curses library.
All this may be wrong if you mean something by "console" other than what I think you mean.

  • How do I clear old alerts?

    Hi,
On my Grid Control home page, I have 311 warnings. Some of these warnings are no longer applicable and some of them are on metrics that I am no longer monitoring on. For instance, I am not interested in whether somebody has logged in to a database as the SYS user, especially not when it occurred six weeks ago!
How can I clear these alerts? Some alerts have a check box beside them, so I can check the check box and click "Clear Alert". For most of the alerts, the check box is greyed out.
Thank you for any insight on this!
    Maria

Thank you for your response! I had actually made a search and come across the thread that you are referencing, but I would really like to do this through the front-end at this point, and I am amazed that there doesn't seem to be a simple way to do it! What use is the home page summary if there is so much noise!
Anyhow, I figured out a way to clear these warnings through the front-end, although not by checking a simple check box and pressing a button, that I would have preferred. I set the threshold of warning and critical to way beyond what is ever likely to happen, and set the collection schedule to once per minute. The alerts cleared. Then, I disabled the collection altogether.
    Regards,
    Maria

  • How to Properly Clear CMOS...

    Hey Guys,
I’ve checked the MSI manual and I’ve taken a look at the sticky/FAQ’s over here in the forum as well, and I wasn’t really able to find instructions on how to properly clear the CMOS (after a BIOS flash).
So first of all what’s the correct way to clear the CMOS?
    1. Should I leave the power cord connected to the PSU and then press the “clear CMOS button” while the battery is still in the motherboard?
    2. OR should the power cord be detached from the PSU and the motherboard battery removed and then should I press the “clear CMOS button”? (And if so, for how long should the batter be removed before connecting it back to the motherboard?)
    Secondly,
I was looking over the steps in this guide (http://www.msi.com.tw/html/support/bios/note/ntfs.htm) and I’m not sure at which point I should clear the CMOS. After I’ve executed the flash command and the flash has been complete, it says in step 12. “Reboot your system when prompted.”
So should I turn off the machine right after the BIOS flash and then clear the CMOS… or should I reboot the machine right after the flash and then clear CMOS ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I really don’t want to FUBAR my board.
    Thanks in advance.

    1. When I enter the flash command in DOS and the flash program completes the flash... will it say something like "flash successful" OR the only way I’ll know if the flash was successful is if after the flash I reboot and the machine posts?
You will have a message like 'Hit F1 to reboot' in principle all is well...
Quote from: Brownbay on 18-June-05, 01:28:24
    2. I understood everything in the steps that you listed up until step 4. Should I press the orange "clear CMOS" button first (Now do I have to hold it down... press it a few times... or just press it once) and THEN remove the battery... OR should the battery stay in at all times?
While you press the button the battery must stay in it's place, it's is voltage that will clear the BIOS in a certain pin of the IC...
As for the time to press...could be 1..2..3 seconds, no time defined, as soon as you press the button the Bios is cleared...but give it 3 secs.
And it's not necessary to remove the battery at this point only in extreme cases.
Quote from: Brownbay on 18-June-05, 01:28:24
Finally, is it actually beneficial to clear the CMOS after flashing the BIOS? From what I’ve read... One of the main reasons to clear the CMOS after flashing to a new BIOS is so that you get rid of all the old BIOS options/commands that might be still lying around. So I can only see this as a good precautionary step rather than doing any harm to the motherboard, or causing the risk there of.
It is highly beneficial to clear the Bios after an update, because some settings could be somewhat out of place and mess up your discs or memory or even the processor...one never knows...it is always better to clear for ensurance.
    Be well....

Actually, how can I set Firefox so that it doesn't automatically store that information.

Password Manager deals only with passwords. The problem described above is about the User Name. I tried the Shift+Delete tactic, and it worked! Be sure to follow instructions in the link provided in the solution: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Deleting_autocomplete_entries
