How do I close the white box with a keyhole, gear, and lock that sometimes randomly pops up in the upper left of my screen?

Every now and then, a weird white box with a keyhole, gear, and lock pops up in the upper left of my screen. I can't seem to close it or move it, and when I try to use another application, it stays there and blocks features. The only way I've found to make it go away is by force closing Firefox. Why does it pop up and how do I close it? I'm on an iMac, Snow Leopard. Have the latest version of Firefox, 10.0.2.
Here's a screenshot of the box: http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/6819/screenshot20120302at821.png

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Yes - email &amp; text work fine but when I use something like Google Images or search a blog with imbedded photos I get the empty white boxes with question marks.  If I click the question mark it opens the photo but I can't possibly do that for EVERY image on EVERY page I search!?!?!  I've rebooted the iPad &amp; my wireless card several times but neither action helped.  Have any clue what I should do now?

Hi.  My new computer had Acrobat on it.  Suddenly, I was unable to open any PDF's.  and then I tried to update and was forwarded to the Adobe site that said I had to buy a monthly subscription.  I do not have the physical box with a serial number and was going to buy the one advertised on the website until I discovered it's only for students and teachers, which I am not.  What should I do next as I need to use PDFs on a daily basis.  Thanks!  I would like to be able to download this and pay online.  Possible? I currently have Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.  I have a Windows 7 system.  Please help!

As long as you know your serial number you can download PSE from here:

  • Spry menu hover: How to get rid of white box with "false"?

    Hi--
I'm encountering an IE issue with a Spry vertical menu bar. When the user hovers over the submenu, white frames appear behind the submenu with the word "false" in them. Of course this doesn't happen in Safari or Firefox.
    I was able to fix other similar problems with the menu by following tips posted on another forum. Namely, in the CSS, I disabled an IE hack that caused a white background to appear (menu background has to be transparent on this site). And in the JS, I disabled the following: this.removeIframeLayer(menu);
    Here's the URL: http://www.qic-ec.org
Below are the css (1) and js (2).
Any help would be DEEPLY appreciated.
    Thank you
    Jackie

    SpryMenuBar.js
This file handles the JavaScript for Spry Menu Bar.  You should have no need
to edit this file.  Some highlights of the MenuBar object is that timers are
used to keep submenus from showing up until the user has hovered over the parent
menu item for some time, as well as a timer for when they leave a submenu to keep
showing that submenu until the timer fires.

  • Quickly.....I need help....How do I close a popup box with an X....

    Hi,
I need help quickly because its for a project that needs to be in soon, I have a pop up box on a button which does open and close but I would like to add an X to the corner which would also close the box... does anybody know a code for that? Please?
Here are screenshots to help or if you need I will post the file if you would like?
This is the first screenshot before I enter the box.
This the code that I have for the box in the first screenshot.

Per your previous post that I gave you some code in, you're trying to solve your issue without being a coder yet you need functionality that only someone fluent in the code you require could use.
I'm sorry your due date is closing but overall if you do not understand coding 'at all' you should not come here asking people to code your project for you.
Your question is as unspecific as before as well as any coder here would give you information you wouldn't understand the same as your previous post.

when i open .jpg picture in photoshop on MAC the the background thumbnail in the layers panel looks like a white box with the brush inside instead of picture thumbnail. how to fix it?

Very easy. That means you have a "no layer thumbnails" option selected.
Go into the Layers Panel menu at the upper right of the Panel, choose Panel Options and you will see Thumbnail sizes to choose from.
    Select one, click OK.

  • How do I make a white box in my master page that's intelligent enough to resize on all my other pages depending on the amount of content?

I have a tiled background image but sometimes the white box only covers half the content and my tiled image is displayed under the other half of the content...  Do I have to manually make the box for each page or is there a way to attach it to both the header and footer so it expands depending on how much content is on each page while retaining my background image in only the border areas?

Muse doesn't have that specific feature. However, in may cases the desired effect can be achieved by inverting how you think about it.
Using a 100% with rectangle with a fill image for your header and another for your footer, that leaves the page fill and/or background fill image to grow and shrink to fill he space between your header and footer. If you only want one column of your page design to have this effect, you may be able to achieve that using a vertically repeating background fill image for the page or browser fill (where the fill is a horizontal band the with color only where you want the vertical column to appear.

Check your style sheets. Something is giving a link a background color. Look for something like this:

    Then remove it.
