How do I convert a LAMP stack (Laravel) application to UI5 or XSJS?

SAP Hana can be used as a substitute database for any sort of application, including a LAMP application on Laravel. This is particularly useful when real-time features and all the rich features of HANA are required.
Recently, there appears to have been a push towards moving application code closer to the actual database via XS Engine and XSJS applications. I understand that this is essentially an app server that serves applications natively in SAP Hana.
Here's the dilemma. Tallyfy (my venture) is a PHP/Laravel application running on mySQL or SQL Server.
What are the options to get it as close as possible to being a native UI5 app by re-writing as little code as possible?

HANA is great for this, but really you haven't provided enough context. Go ahead and try it!

  • How do I convert a Track Stack into a Take Folder in Logic Pro X?

    How do I convert a Track Stack into a Take Folder in Logic Pro X?
    I mistakenly took 13 takes and put it in a Track Stack instead of a Take Folder.   I'm afraid to lose the takes and I'm wondering how to convert this into a Take Folder so I can do a comp?
    Thanks,
    Marcel

    Here is what you do:
    Create a new Track and record something in Cycle Mode  (Take Folder Record Mode enabled if you record MIDI) so it creates a Take Folder
    Now select all the 13 Regions across the 13 Tracks and drag them onto the Take Folder.
    The Regions have to be in the time range of the Take Folder (overlap at least one bar)
    All the 13 Regions are now merged into a individual Regions of the Take Folder
    Hope that helps

  • How would I convert a BIOS system to UEFI

    All of my arch installs are set up as BIOS installs. A computer I own does not appear to support BIOS boot very well, so I cannot boot any BIOS installs on it. I would like to avoid doing a clean install, so I  was wondering exactly how I would convert a BIOS install to a UEFI install. All of my installs are on a GPT disk and use GRUB as my boot-loader.

    WonderWoofy wrote:But you should be able to put the ESP anywhere on the disk that you want.
    fantab wrote:So I just made it a rule (for myself) to setup ESP upfront and I feel its a good idea to have the boot files upfront on the HDD.
    When I made the switch, I backed up my system, repartitioned the drive, and restored the backup. It's just simpler that way, considering that a mistake in partitioning means restoring a backup anyway.
    OT: I tend to partition all drives on all systems the way fantab suggests: Partitions are placed in the logical order in which the system needs them, both because a) on a spinning disk, the earlier partitions perform better; and b) because it's easier for me to prioritize partitions and grant them the space they "deserve." The ESP becomes /boot, and gets the bare minimum 512Mb (I only have Arch on my production machine); the /root system partition gets the next 5-8 Gb; /home gets the rest. The other advantage is that, should something go wrong with the boot process, or a partition need to be manipulated via dd or some other potentially risking procedure, one needn't interpret a partition table in which the order of partitions doesn't match the assigned drive numbers.
    tl;dr: When mucking around with altering partition tables and filesystems, it's sometimes better to just back up and repartition the disk(s) in a logical way. That way, cryptic partition tables don't get tossed into the stack of technical documents you need to cross-reference to complete the process.

    I need to convert PDF file to Word Document, so it can be edited. But the recognizing text options do not have the language that I need. How I can convert the file in the desired of me language?

    The application Acrobat provides no language translation capability.
    If you localize the language for OS, MS Office applications, Acrobat, etc to the desired language try again.
    Alternative: transfer a copy of content into a web based translation service (Bing or Google provides a free service).
    Transfer the output into a word processing program that is localized to the appropriate language.
    Do cleanup.

  • How can I convert an InputStream to a FileInputStream ???

    How can I convert an InputStream to a FileInputStream ???

    Thanks for you reply, however, I am still stuck.
    I am trying to convert my application (which runs smoothly) to a signed applet. The following is the original (application) code:
    private void loadConfig() {
    String fileName = "resources/groupconfig";
    File name = new File(fileName);
    if(name.isFile()) {
    try {
         ObjectInputStream in = new ObjectInputStream(new FileInputStream(fileName));
         pAndGConfig = (PAGroupsConfig)in.readObject();
         in.close();
         return;
    } catch(ClassNotFoundException e) {
         System.err.println("++ERROR: "+e);
    } catch(IOException e) {
         System.err.println("++ERROR: "+e);
    System.out.println("Can't find file: " + fileName);
    Because all code and resources now reside in a Jar file (for the signed applet), I must use the following line to access the resources:
    InputStream is = this.getClass().getResourceAsStream(fileName);
    I then need to convert the 'InputStream' to 'ObjectInputStream' or 'FileInputStream' so that I can work with it.
    I would be very grateful if you could help shed some light on the matter - Cobram

  • How to store numbers in a stack....

    hello guys...i ve got the following assignment:
    Write a Java program that reads and evaluates a fully parenthesised arithmetic expression. The
    purpose of this program is to illustrate a fundamental use of stacks. Implement the stack using
    Linked Lists as explained in your notes.
    For e.g if a user enters the expression: (((6 + 9) / 3) * (6  4))
    The result should be 10.
    Your program should be properly documented and well structured. Specifications should be
    clearly written in your logbook for all the methods, constructors, and classes that you implement
    in the following format:
    Class / Method/ Constructor name explaining what it does
    Parameters
    Preconditions
    Postconditions
    Throws
    Now, i ve come up with the following code:
    import java.util.EmptyStackException;
    class StackNode {
         private static Object data;
         private StackNode link;
         private static StackNode head;
         private int totalnodes;
    // the constructors
    public StackNode(Object obj, StackNode lk)
         data = obj;
         link = lk;
    public StackNode()
         head = null;
         totalnodes = 0;
         // the push method
         public void push(Object obj)
              head = new StackNode(obj, head);
              totalnodes++;
         // the pop method
         public Object pop()
              Object answer;
              if(head == null)
                   throw new EmptyStackException();
              answer = head.getData();
              head = head.getLink();
              totalnodes--;
              return answer;
         // the isEmpty method
         public boolean isEmpty()
              return (head == null);
         // get data
         public Object getData()
              return data;
         // get link
         public StackNode getLink()
              return link;
         // size or length method
         public int size()
              return totalnodes;
         public static void main (String args [])
              int i;
              StackNode number = new StackNode();
              StackNode operator = new StackNode();
              head = new StackNode(data, head);
              number.push(new Integer(9));
              number.push(new Integer(6));
              operator.push(new Character('+'));
    and i dont know how to store numbers into the stack and how to use the operations such as addition substraction division and multiply...
    any ideas how to do that??
    cheers....

    In your case you can only restore from a backup that has been created with the same iOS version. An iPhone 4 can only run 7.1.2, and, unless your iPhone 5 did not run the same version, you can't use a newer iOS backup of the 5 on the iPhone 4

    I want to remove the monitor from my 17" Macbook Pro 2008 to use as an external for my Macbook Pro 15" 2012. How can I convert lvds to Thunderbolt and power the monitor?

    It's almost impossible.  The new iMacs have a Target Display Mode, but it's built to do that.  Without ripping your screen out, finding an acceptable power supply, frame, and whatever electronics to convert a Thunderbolt signal to the screen, the cost will be much larger than buying a cheaper HiDef monitor that runs with an HDMI to Thunderbolt cable to your MacBook 15.  In fact, you can sell your 17" MBP for a lot of money, unless it's broken or something, buying you a really sweet monitor.
