Ok I did what you said up until I input the path. I do not know which part needs to be inserted. Here is what my window below shows after it is built and ran.
Compiling...

  • How do I create "Oracle Application Express Adminstrator" in APEX 3.2.1?

    Hello,
Quite the newbie so I appreciate any assistance with this.
How do create "Oracle Application Express Adminstrator" in APEX 3.2.1? I am not talking about a workspace adminstrator but an Entire APEX instance administrator or "superuser"?
I log into APEX_ADMIN as ADMIN and understand how to create a new user. But how do I grant the new user DBA or "super user" privlidges? It was easy to do when I first installed XE, I would just "check" the "DBA" when I created the user. But when I upgraded to APEX 3.2.1 the function does not seem to be there?
Thank you for any help you can provide!

    Hi,
I think you can not grant DBA role from Apex anymore.
You need connect to database e.g. with SYS user and grant that role.

  • How do I create an application with lots and lots of text?

I was asked to create an application for the iPad. This application contains a lot of static text. With "a lot" I mean Mb's of text which should be represented in a visual attractive way. One can think of this application as a website but than in application form with added features. When building this application there should be a couple of things kept in mind:
The modularity of the application. How easy will it be to add text or update it.
How does the markup for the text work. Should everything be put in labels? And what to do with images than? Or is there an alternative?
My question is: What is the proper way to setup this application? Preferably I don't want to manage the text myself. It will take ages to position everything correct. Especially since I will be working with artistic people...
    Thank you for your help!

You can always retrieve updated text (html or any other format) from a web service or other channels.  That really is up to you.  If you decide to stick with HTML, there is not too much benefit in paring HTML out of an XML feed.

  • How can I create an application that has no menu bar?

I have an application which has all of its functionailty available on screen as buttons or fields. This works very well at the moment. However when I create and run the application I see a men bar appears nuch the same as when deisgning the application namely, "File, Edit, Operate, Tools,, Browse, Windows, Help". I really don't want them to appear at all as everything is already catered for on screen. I have looked at the menu vi's but it is not clear how I can simply not have a menu bar.
    Any suggestions?

    Many thanks,
I have asked a similar question to this before but for some reason I always think I need to do these sort of things programmatically in the code rather than in a settings.
    Thanks in any case.

  • How can I create an application in MSVC 6.0 to access my FieldPoint modules with CVI 5.0 libraries?

I have an application in CVI 5.0 that works. I am trying to export that so I can develop in MSVC. I need none of the UI provided in CVI, all I need are the simple FieldPoint commands provided in FieldPoint.obj. I have been stumped on this for weeks. I would write my own OPC client but the interface isn't even documented on what commands I would send if I did have an interface. I would prefer just to use the CVI libraries in MSVC 6.0. When I call the FP_Open function the program crashes with an RtlSizeHeap error.
    Thanks,
    Chad

In theory, creating a dll that encapsulates the FieldPoint functions should work in MSVC. However, National Instruments has not tested MSVC interface, nor have we publicized that this type of setup will work, therefore making support unavailable. The other reason for why we do not offer support of FieldPoint in MSVC is that we have not seen a demand for such an interface. Therefore, I recommend that you create an OPC Client that communicates with the FieldPoint OPC Server. One example of such an OPC Client in MSVC is to use Datasockets, found in ComponentWorks++. You can find this example at the following web site:
    http://zone.ni.com/devzone/devzoneweb.nsf/opendoc?openagent&8FEAB5F73CFB68278625683A000B06ED&cat=7CDA3E51FEFC4AA2862568B80071A1E2
    If you are using the
serial network module (FP-1000/1001), you can communicate with the FieldPoint modules using the Optomux protocol. For a complete listing of the Optomux commands refer to the FP-1000/1001 Programer Reference Manual located at the following web site:

Is there a way I can add the shortcut icon to the the KDE App Launcher under Development?

Akael wrote:Is there a way I can add the shortcut icon to the the KDE App Launcher under Development?
Please look up for *.desktop file structure, all you need to do is create a /usr/share/applications/komodo.desktop file with the appropriate content. You can start with any other desktop file as template.

  • How do I create an Application with Automator that will open files in Photoshop Elements 11 and run an action?

Here's what I'd really like the Script to do when I select one main folder:
Look through all the subfolders, find all the PNG files and convert them to TIFFs, replacing the original PNG files.
Open the converted TIFF files in PSE 11.
Run an action on them in PSE 11 (which I already created that adds a white fill layer below the TIFF file.)
Save each file in their original location and Close each file.
    Import them into LR.
    Anybody?  Bueller?  Bueller?
If that's not possible, I'd love an Automator action that can convert the PNG files to TIFFs that can be viewed in LR 4.4.  If I convert them in PSE 11, LR can view them, but if I convert them using Automator, LR cannot.
Thanks so much for any help you can provide.

LabVIEW 7 added a property to get a command line argument. For older versions see http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/niepd_web_display.display_epd4?p_guid=B45EACE3DA5B56A4E034080020E74861.
I'm not sure I understand you problem with the Run button. If you set the execution mode to Run When Opened from VI Properties, it should execute once whenever it's called. I think that when building an executable, it changes the property to this if it's not already set. If the application does not have this set, it will not be running at all. I'm assuming that you are talking about the Run button on the toolbar and not a run Boolean that you've created on the front panel.
Since you have the app builder, your other option is to create a DLL. If you can call a DLL in Matlab, then that would probably be simpler.

  • How do I create an application that can be printed AND filled out online via my website?

Is InDesign the best program to do this in?

Webform with HTML would be best.
But depends on a lot of things...
InDesign is not a web authoring program.
But it can produce fillable forms ... which are PDF.
So if you want it on your site - a webform is best.
If you want it as link they fill out and submit then InDesign.

  • How to create an application-specific policy file?

    Hi Everybody:
I'm a .NET developer with C #. I have a few applications currently running on my computer using the ODP 10.1
Two weeks ago I installed on my computer the ODP 10.2 Release & now my previous applications have stopped working: when I try to make the connection to the database gives me this exception:
    OraOLEDB (0x80004005)
ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified
In FAQ section for ODP.NET I found the next:
Q: I have two .NET applications on the same machine running two different versions of ODP.NET. How do I ensure both these applications use the correct ODP.NET version?
A: Beginning with ODP.NET 10.1.0.3, the Oracle installer will register the following publisher policy DLLs in the Global Assembly Cache (GAC) that redirect 9.2, 10.1 and 10.2 ODP.NET applications to use the last installed version of ODP.NET: Policy.9.2.Oracle.DataAccess.dll and Policy.10.1.Oracle.DataAccess.dll.
ODP.NET 9.2 includes just the first policy DLL above. These policy files ensure that all your ODP.NET applications use the most recently installed version of ODP.NET.
You may undo the redirection manually. Policy DLLs can be de-installed through gacutil.exe using the /u option. Another approach is to navigate to the GAC directory (i.e. C:\WINNT\assembly) through the Windows Explorer and delete the policy folders. That will eliminate any policy enforcement for all your ODP.NET applications.
If you have applications on the same machine using different ODP.NET versions, you should create an application-specific policy file.
I'm trying to do that, but I don't know what is an application-specific policy file. Someone can give me an example of How can I create and application-specific policy file???
    Regards

    Hi,
Binding redirection is a ".net thing" as opposed to a "odp.net thing", see if this helps:

  • Can i create an exetutable (.exe) program with java???????

I would like to learn how i can create an exetutable (.exe) program with java.
Is there any additional package which i should download or buy it?
Also i would like to write files into CD's direct from my application.
Is there any library which i must download or buy?
    Thanks!

check out the free open source GNU gcj native compiler for Java to see if it will do what you want.
    http://gcc.gnu.org/java/
for writing data files you could use java.io.BufferedWriter. For sound files, look in the javax.sound package

  • How do I create more than one "window"?

    Hi.
I just started with JavaFX and know about the basics (at least I thought so).
But: How do I create an application with more than one "window"?
One stage has one scene with several components like buttons - ok... I already have a stage with a scene with buttons and actions - Now I want to click one of these buttons and then get to another stage (or scene or whatever) where I see some other textfield and buttons.
How do I realize this with JavaFX? I did not find anyone example in the web? What am I missing? Do you not create this flow with JavaFX?
Please can someone explain this to me (and if possible post a link where I can some code where this is implemented)?
    Thanks a lot...

Recent thread: [Multiple stages app dev|http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5405420]
Other threads... well, hard to find back, I reckon.
    Simple example:
        // Some control/shape
          Circle
            centerX: 15
            centerY: 15
            radius: 10
            fill: Color.LAVENDER
            stroke: Color.PURPLE
            onMouseClicked: ShowDialog
          }and elsewhere:function ShowDialog(evt: MouseEvent): Void
      println("Circle pressed");
      var dialog: Stage = Stage
        title: "A Dialog"
        visible: true
        scene: Scene
          width: 300
          height: 50
          content:
            Text
              x: 5, y: 5
              font: Font { size: 24 }
content: "I am a secondary window"
              textOrigin: TextOrigin.TOP
}Apparently, you just have to create an instance of Stage to have it to appear.
