Ok let's say we have created two pages,
In page A we have 3 buttons, CreateEmp, EditEmp and DisplayEmp button and one text field as a parameter field to edit and display (let say employeeId).
In page B we have form employee to create new employee, edit employee and display and a button AddMoreEmp (to add more employee without back to page A)
in this case if button EditEmp is pressed in page A, so button AddMoreEmp in page B will be enabled
if button DisplayEmp in page A is pressed , so button AddMoreEmp in page B will be disabled.

I think what you are looking for is a comb field. It acts like a regular field but puts the vertical lines in between each character. You can turn the comb on in the object palette and indicate how many chars will appear in the field (so that it knows how many lines to draw).

Create a value attributre CreatLabel..of type boolean and set it to false in init.
Then in the button's action handler ,set it to true.
And write this code in wdDoModifyView.
In wdDoModifyView():

You should not create view element outside wdDoModifyView. So we write this in the wdDoModify view..a nd control when it is executed.. by means of setting CreateLabel value attribute..

I am trying to create a simple unix like operating system with very basic functionality. I have a hard time trying to create a "mktext" file and actually display the contents of the text file with the "cat" command. For example:

Now check in VA05, you will get save button in active mode.

Problem creating job steps variants

Hi Gurus!
I have a problem with job steps creation.
In my program I need to copy the exist job with some condition accords to job steps variants.
But when I create the new job and it steps and variants in SM37, I can not see the variants names, only number.
For example in template that I am copying it looks like that:

ABAP Query display variant problem

Hi,
We have three different SAP clients development DV1, Staging ST1 and production PC1. I have created an abap query for which I m trying to create a global display variant (not user specific). I m able to do so easily in DV1 and PC1 systems. But when I try to create a display variant on ST1 by first running the report and then going to menu Settings->Layout->Save . I find that by default the User-Specific checkbox is selected and disabled. Because of this I can create only user specific display variants for my queries.
Where can I change the settings so that when I go to the above menu the User-specific checkbox is enabled and I m able to create global display variants ?

I am confuse after reading your question , any way we can adding "default" variant in SQ01. You can also assign the same variant in SE93 , when you create T-code for the specific query !!.
Well if it doesnt solve your problem ..please explain your question with the help of tr. codes and what youre trying to do !!

Global display variant authorisations

Morning
Anyone know the authorisation to use to ensure that I can create global display variants for QM reports such as QA32? I thought it may be SD_VARIANT_MAINTAIN but this does not seem to make any difference.

In the end the solution was not far away. A colleague of mine found in the area that I was in earlier.
Customizing->Quality Managment->Quality Inspection-> List Definition->Define Variants (List View Function).
Select this and then choose QA32/33 Inspection Lots. Then choose the bottom option Maintain Field Selection List. You are then presented with the program selection screen as you are in the previous two options. Crucially however, you need to execute the program and it then takes you into the list display maintenance.
It was the last step that was the breakthrough. I have documented it for future searches on the same subject.

User Specific Display Variants

Hi
Were on ECC 6.0 and when I choose to create and save a display variant from and ALV screen the user-specific box is ticked and I can not un-tick it because its grayed out - no matter what we do we can not un-tick this checkbox. We need to create global display variants so that all user can use these display variants.
Is there a configuration setting that we can adjust ?? any suggestions to overcome this problem are welcome.

1. The ALV Grid Control is a tool with which you can output non-hierarchical lists in a
standardized format. The list data is displayed as a table on the screen.
The ALV Grid Control offers a range of interactive standard list functions that users need
frequently (find, sort, filter, calculate totals and subtotals, print, print preview, send list,
export list (in different formats), and so on. These functions are implemented in the
proxy object class. You as the programmer have the possibility to turn off functions not
needed. In most cases the implementations of the standard functions provided by the
control are sufficient. However, if required, you can adjust these implementations to
meet application-specific needs.
You can add self-defined functions to the toolbar, if necessary.
The ALV Grid Control allows users to adjust the layout of lists to meet their individual
requirements (for example, they can swap columns, hide columns, set filters for the
data to be displayed, calculate totals, and so on). The settings (list customizing) made
by a specific user are called a display variant. Display variants can be saved on a userspecific
or on a global basis. If such display variants exist for a list, they can be offered
to the user for selection. If a display variant is set as the default variant, the associated
list is always displayed based on the settings of this variant.

In such cases, this set of ALV functions can help choose selected columns and arrange the different columns from a report output and also save different variants for report display. This is a very efficient tool for dynamically sorting and arranging the columns from a report output.
The report output can contain up to 90 columns in the display with the wide array of display options.

In se93 there is a check box cross-client .
The Cross-client switch identifies which transaction variants are cross-client and which are client-specific. If the switch is set, the transaction variant is cross-client. If the switch is not set, the transaction variant is client-specific.
A client-specific transaction variant can only exist in the client where it was created. The field contents of the transaction variant only have to be available in the particular client. A cross-client transaction variant is available in the system regardless of which client is currently active. The field contents of the transaction variant have to be available in all clients.

There are two things we use the name "Slideshow" for in Aperture: a Slideshow Album, used for making Slideshows, and the Slideshow that is made. (Imho, it is a design mistake to not call the containers used to create Slideshows, Books, etc., "Albums".)
The Slideshow will use the Album Pick from any Stack. A good way to use Aperture is to promote the Image you want to regularly use (such as, for example, a Version with adjustments) to the top of the Stack. This makes it the Stack Pick, and will be the default Album Pick. If you haven't done that, you can still change the Album Pick for any Stack in a Slideshow Album. Expand your Stack(s), select the Image in each Stack that you want to be the Album Pick (and thus shown in the Slideshow), and "Stacks➞Set Album Pick". (Note the keyboard shortcut; there is also a Toolbar icon for this.) The change is immediate. The Slideshow will always show the Album Pick (or, if there is not one, the Stack Pick) for every Stack in your Slideshow Album.
