How can I create an ad strip?

I want to create an ad strip at the top of every page of my website (over 300 pages) that can a have a linkable graphic placed in it. I am thinking of something that will take up 100% of the page width and approximately 60 pixels tall that will sit at the very top of the page if I have a promotion running. There are two issues I need to address:
1. I want to have a way to change the graphic and link on all pages simultaneously, in other words, I change the image and link in one place and it automatically changes it on all applicable pages.
2. I want to be able to easily hide it if I don't need it. In other words, if there is no current promotion, the space just disappears and the rest of the page content flows back up to the top of the page.
I sort of managed this by creating a div on every page that was attached to a specific external style sheet. When I needed it I placed a background image in the body of the CSS that contained the info and changed the height of the div to 60 pixels. When I didn't need it I removed the background image and set the height to 0 pixels. That worked pretty well, except I can't put a link in it since it is basically an empty div. I need something that I can place an a href in but still have it apply to hundreds of pages at once. I thought I did something similar several years ago using either templates, or editable regions, or something but I can't seem to do it now. Does anyone have any ideas?

Again, easily done via a Server Side Include. Just upload an empty text file or one which contains just "<div></div>".

I need to set a custom flag which allows me to hide/show navigation menus to users. These flags are declared in dynamicdata MenuItemFlagDefinitions and are used in dynamicdata CoreMenuItemsFlags, but I do not know were they are defined.. For instance, were are the flags isTopMenusOnly and isTraysOnly defined? I have tried to define a custom flag in dynamichtml std_js_bootstrap_vars_script and std_personalized_js_bootstrap_vars, but it doesn't work.. I've tried to define a custom flag as a configuration variable in a .cfg file but it doesn't work either..

A picture might be worth a thousand words, but to be useful this one requires an explanation of how you did it.
This is very easy using multiple strokes in Illustrator, not so much in ID, but it can be done with a custom stroke style of type Stripe using half the width for the stroke and half for the gap. Fill the text with [Paper], then apply the stroke in Black with Yellow gap, or Yellow with Black gap (depending on which side of the stroke is gap). Is that what you did?

You need change the IKM. This values are hardcode in the IKM.
You can create a new IKM and the values used are a options of the IKM.

I just started with JavaFX and know about the basics (at least I thought so).
But: How do I create an application with more than one "window"?
One stage has one scene with several components like buttons - ok... I already have a stage with a scene with buttons and actions - Now I want to click one of these buttons and then get to another stage (or scene or whatever) where I see some other textfield and buttons.
How do I realize this with JavaFX? I did not find anyone example in the web? What am I missing? Do you not create this flow with JavaFX?
Please can someone explain this to me (and if possible post a link where I can some code where this is implemented)?

How Do I Create a New Template for iBooks Author?

Apple's provided templates are way too narrow for some of the ideas I want to implement. I do not see any real method for creating a template from scratch. I stripped one of the available templates down to nothing and rebuilt some of the pages and then selected Save As Template... but iBooks Author keeps the original template as the content instead of allowing me to use my own created Chapter, Section, and Pages with the Add Pages.. Button.
How to you create a new template from scratch? I think it is absurd if you can only create a new template from one of the 6 predefined templates.

I would actually like mine to be a little more pronounced. Perhaps having the link turn to BOLD Font indicating you are on that page. And the main Parent page would have a diffrent background color.

All of the accordians i have found seam to collapse after you select a child page (sub menu) and the visitor wouldn't know where he is on the site... Please Help Me accomplish this!

Here is a method that I use:
First place a photo of a wall or floor and use "Live Trace" default
You will end up with a black and white texture like this:
Then Select all the white areas and delete them. If you have a lot of black texture, feel free to delete as much as you want. You can always copy and paste pieces wherever you want.
Now Place your design on top of the texture you have created. Then send the design to the back.
The last step is to select the outlined text and the compound shapes and apply "Subtract From Shape Area" with Pathfinder. Please note that this option does not work on CS3 from the menu (one of the hundred of bugs of this lousy version), so please use the Pathfinder Window.
And this is the end result:
This was a quick sample, but I am sure you can do something a lot better than this sample. I think the difficult part is to get a good photo. Maybe next time I will use a damaged concrete floor or wall photo.

Most forms (99% or more) are created for simple text input, where you cannot change anything.
The creator of the form could allow Rich Text input (which allows you to change font, text size, color, etc.), but frankly I have never seen such a form, and I wouldn't know how they look. But I'm sure they would show some kind of controls to alter the text appearance.

How can I create an iBook using iBooks Author using images from a PDF?

I have a complex book with custom fonts and lots of images, and the client wants it on the iPad. So my most reasonable option seems to be to take images from a PDF and use them for the pages. However, images in iBook Author don't get "laid out" as expected in Portrait mode. How can I create a layout that is essentially one image per page in portrait mode, and then convert that to landscape mode? Or is there an easier way to go about this?
