How do I create optinal elements in a ID document?

Hello ID community!
I'm an ID beginner, and I'm trying to format a manual for a seminar.
I have some icons that I'd like to be invisible in the student version of the manual, but be visible and printed in the teacher's version. (Basically they're just little icons to indicate to the teacher when different slides and exercises are to be done.)
I'd imagine this is possible with ID, but I have no idea how to do it.
Essentially, I need some way to set the global option of "this is the teacher manual" or "this is the student manual", and only display these icons if I am exporting a "teacher manual."
If I were writing code, I'd have a variable $teacher=1 for the teacher version, and each slide icon would have some logic around it that would look something like...
if ($teacher = 1) then { print $slide_icon };
thanks so much for your help!
-Brent

You could place them as anchored objects (read about them in Help), then select the anchor (for a custom positioned anchored object) or the fame holding the icon (for an inline anchored object) and apply a condition (read about conditional text in the Help). Hide the condition and they will disappear.

  • How can I create a Commercial Invoice or similar document in SAP ByD?

    How can I create a Commercial Invoice or similar document in SAP ByD?
    Our company has recently implemented ByD, but we can't figure out how to create a commercial invoice for shipping/customs purposes. I know that the German version of ByD allows for "Export Declarations" which is pretty much the same as a commercial invoice, but the U.S. version doesn't have this document/function.
    Any suggestions? I would appreciate any help.
    By the way, a commercial invoice contains:
    1. The shipperu2019s complete information: Contact name, company name, complete address and tax identification number.
       2. The recipientu2019s complete information: Contact name, company name, complete address and phone number.
       3. The buyeru2019s information (the person to whom the goods are sold by the seller) if different from the recipient: Contact name, company name, complete address and phone number.
       4. The shipment tracking number, air waybill number or bar-code label number.
       5. An accurate description of the contents in your shipment that includes the following details:
    What the product is
    What material the product is made of
    What the productu2019s Schedule B or HTS code is
    What the productu2019s intended use is
    What the productu2019s country of manufacture is
    What the productu2019s parts or serial numbers are (if applicable)
    What the productu2019s quantity and unit of measure are
    What the productu2019s value is, per unit and in total
    Thanks,

  • How can I create a sub-folder within my "Documents" folder?

    How can I create a sub-folder within my "Documents" folder? I have many similar documents that I want to group together. This will also un-clutter my Documents folder.

    Also, you can add a New Folder button to the Finder's toolbar by opening Finder, going to the View menu in the menubar, selecting Customize Toolbar..., and dragging the New Folder icon to the toolbar in the Finder window. Then it's just one-click for new folders wherever you want them.

  • In Adobe X Pro, how do I create a digital signature in my document so that my receiver is able to sign it electronically.

    In Adobe X Pro, how do I create a digital signature in my document so that my receiver is able to sign it electronically.

    If the other person will be using Reader, you should first add a digital signature field and then Reader enable the form. In Acrobat 10 you'd select: Tools > Forms > Edit
    to get into form editing mode. You'd then select the signature field tool to add a signature field.
    Once you have the document finalized, Reader-enable the document by selecting: File > Save As > Reader-Extended PDF > Enable Additional Features
    being sure to save to a new file so you don't overwrite the original. If you don't Reader-enable, Reader users won't be able to digitally sign.

    Hi gadi b,
    It sounds like you may want to create a form field in your PDF file, which your sales personnel can paste text into. You can use either Acrobat or Adobe FormsCentral to create PDF forms. For instructions, see FormsCentral Help | Create a form or Acrobat Help | Forms.

  • How to find the WBS element for the payment document?

    Dear All,
    How to find the WBS element in the payment document?...I know in payment doc there will not be any WBS but is there any option where I can find in any of the Tables.
    I am in the process of developing a Z report where i need to fetch the payment documents based on WBS. Can any one please help me on this.

    Hi Ram,
    As you are not giving any input of WBS at the time of payment you cannot fetch this directly. But to know the WBS for the reporting purpose on which WBS the payment has been made, you can develop a Z-Report. The WBS elements of clearing documents against the payment entry can be fetched out.
    In this report if there is a single payment against many invoices also possible with different invoice and WBS elements to be displayed on the Z-Report

  • Creating an Element for an XML Document

    Assuming I have an XML file
    file.xml
    <root>
    <child1>
    <child2>
    <child100>
    <root>
    i do
    SAXBuilder parser = new SAXBuilder();
    doc = parser.build(file);
    root = doc.getRootElement();This returns a root elemnet for the entire tree.Now my question is how do i create a root element for say jus the top 10 children? That is, is there a way i can create a document just reading the first 10 elements from the file tree above so that when i do a getChildren on root I should have only 10 elements in the list.

    | 1. How are the attributes of an XML element can be stored to the database
    XML SQL Utility (which XSQL uses under the covers) only stores
    documents in the canonical format. You'll need to use an XSLT
    transformation to transform data into the canonical format
    (including transforming attribute values into elements whose
    names correspond to the column in which you'd like to store it)
    | 2. How can I store a single XML document to multiple database tables?
    I outline several techniques for this in my upcoming
    O'Reilly book, "Building Oracle XML Applications".
    The basic idea is to either:
    (1) Use an Object View with an INSTEAD OF INSERT trigger, or
    (2) Use a technique that transform the inbound document
    into a multi-table insert-format and passes each
    relevant part for insert to the XML SQL Utility separately.

  • How do I create a new folder in my documents?

    Hi there, I'm new on Mac.
    How do I create a new folder when I want a new folder in my documents?
    I also want to create folders on an extern harddrive, but I can only create a folder on the launchpad...

    See my orginal post - it answered the OPs question just fine:
    When you have any window open, you can press the Shift-Command-N keys to create a new untitled folder. Same with on an external hard drive. Also works on the Desktop.
    Maybe I should have said, to your reply:
    "and you don't have to open any windows to use the command on the Desktop."
    Would that have worked for you?

  • How do I create a hyperlink to open a document in a new window?

    My operating systems is: Windows 7
    Using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI
    I have created a user guide in MS Word 2013 which contains hyperlinks to other documents.
    I print to PDF but the hyperlinks are no longer accessible as they are converted to text once the guide is turned into a PDF.
    Adobe Tools has a Add or Edit Link tool; I have tried several times to create a link using this tool with no success.
    The documents I am trying to open are located on a intranet sharepoint site.
    Please help if you know how to add a hyperlink to open a document from a weblink.
    Thank you

    Of course.....
    Yes I entered the correct URL however once I click on the link in the PDF nothing happens.
    The only change to PDF is a pretty blue box surrounding what should be the hyperlink.
    Any other helpful suggest that are not the obivious?

  • How to stop creating mutiple performa invoice from delivery document

    case -
    i am creating stock transfer performa invoice on the basis of stock trf purchase order and delivery document. i want to stop creating multiple performa invoice.
    Mukesh Kumar

    If your requirement is to generate a certain output automatically only once for a certain document, you can set it for the output type in  transaction NACE (for example - NACE --> select the application --> "Output types").
    There's a "Multiple issuing" indicator (VN_T685B-MEHRF) through which you can control the desired behaviour.

    Sorry, I misunderstood your question...please neglect the suggestions above...
    As per SAP online help there's no limitation how many proforma invoices can be created from one delivery / sales order:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/dd/5610c9545a11d1a7020000e829fd11/frameset.htm
    If you want to restrict this, I think you should follow KC's suggestion and modify your copy control routine.
    Since in standard system this function does not exists you won't find suitable copy routine. That's why - in my opinion - you should use the same copy routine which has been set till now - you just have to modify it (add an ABAP code to check whether proforma invoice is already created or not; maybe you can check the entries in table VBFA)

  • How do I create a hyperlink on a Numbers document on the iPad?

    Apparently Pages supports creating hyperlinks but Numbers does not? Any particular reason for this?
    Note: I need to create a hyperlink within a cell (just as you would cmd-k in Excel). Not interested in making tables or text bubbles.

    imobl, Thank you for your response.
    I beg to differ. My question has not been answered.
    Further clarification:
    A hyperlink may exist on its own, for example:
    http://au.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110208011527AAgCu2m
    Or it may be embedded, as in this example.

    Regarding points. I am fully aware of how they are awarded, and will gladly award points as merited. Encouraging accuracy, or at very least a 'think twice before hitting send,' in posters should by no means discourage bona fide posters. Accountability beyond the options of correct/helpful/like would not be a bad thing.
