How do i delete a download trying to come in. Lost TV Series wants to download each time. its been there for years
This is in reference to downloads on the Itunes App. i'm currently using a Lenovo laptop with Windows 8.1. my entire iTunes downloaded with no problem, however, there are 4 downloads from LOST TV series that wants to download all of the time. I do delete them from downloading and they disappear, but the next time a download is available, they all show up again. They've been there for years. Should I let them download then delete them that way. it down interfere with new downloads when they are coming in, so I have to delete these Lost series. Please help me get rid of something I don't want.
I'm still working slowly on downloading these suckers. Anybody have any ideas?

On the left above in the menu bar you see the first icon is a little apple.
If you clcik it, there is a menu. Click "About this Mac" it will show the OS, processor and memory.
(Everything about your mac, you will see when you click "More Info" in that panel).

Quit Safari by clicking "quit" in the Safari menu ( ! ), then drag the icon in the Trash bin again. Empty the Trash (rightclik on it); when it will not empty the Trash bin, rightclick the Trash bin while holding the CMD key and "secure empty the trash". -

Just drag it off the Dock and it will go "poof"
Look at the Options... when you click on it. Unless it got set to stay there, something you did or an app did caused it to be open.
Are there any windows open attached to it?
Is it set to "open on login"?
I use it but I do not have it or keep it on my Dock. It is found in /Applications/Utilities and installers may need to use it. -

You are going to need to change the email address you use with your old ID. Once you have got access to your old account you will then log into both accounts at the same time on your Mac and transfer your data to a single account. We can do this later, but need you to get access to your old account first.

I am trying to do the same thing. The Trash can is grayed out. These videos were imported from my iPhone to the iPad mini, if that makes a difference. I really need to delete these as they are taking up too much space. I've read instructions, viewed tutorials, and they all assume the Trash/Delete button is available, but it isn't for these. Trying to download the 3.1 update and am getting an error message each time
Hey all!
I've been trying since this morning to download the 3.1 update for my 1st gen. iPod touch. I've been trying to download the update 6x now and now I am frustrated! Each time, it's within the very last seconds of the update that an error message pops up and says " There was a problem downloading the software for the iPod..The network connection timed out." Ugh, I am connected and I have been connected, so what's up with it?

I told him about the network connectivity issue and he said it sounded like Apple had too many people downloading the update at the same time. I certainly hope that's it. Though part of that makes no sense, seeing that the update was released a couple days ago!

I have been trying to download l OS X Mavericks to upgrade from snow leopard. I had a miss download right now in my tool bar there is a OS X Mavericks Icon that says-Waiting... this has been there for 4 hours when I click on it, cancel donwload? or (pause grayed out) or the options. I have tried this 6 times. I used the app in the Mac App Store. thanks KJG43
The installer is over 5Gb's and could take many hours to download.

My Apple Airport Time Capsule is connected to my 11" Mac Air . I was under the impression that connecting the time capsule would free up my hard drive to provide infinite space to the internet.If you'd like to keep copies of them, put them onto an external drive and back it up as well; if you're using Time Machine, remove that drive from the list of items set to be excluded from the backup. If the drive's not formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled), choose Utilities from the Finder's Go menu and use the Disk Utility to erase it.
If you've done that or don't want to keep them, throw them away and empty the Trash.
The Time Capsule doesn't back up to the iCloud.

That password should be the one you used on the system *before* you do the upgrade.
If you got the computer used from someone else, you need to get in touch with them and get the password. -

When trying to update Acrobat XI I get a 1328 error each time. I have uninstalled XI and reinstalled it from disk. When trying to update the newly installed XI I still get the 1328 error. I have searched my C: drive for the file C:\config\Msi\PTA082.tmp but with no sucess. Any suggestions?

can I purchase from two different stores ie store in New Zealand and Store in Australia and how do I sync updates on applications purchased from either store? Do I have to switch ID's in my settings each time or is there an easier way. The trouble is I set up my appleid in new Zealand and so all icloud and itunes and app stores are under New Zealand Apple ID I have since moved to Australia. Im a real beginner at this stuff so bare with me pse.

Unfortunately this all seems a little rough around the edges -- for example, I have found updates for AppStore apps on the support.apple.com updates download site, but then when I install them via ARD they don't actually update the software. (The AppStore icons still show as needing the updates, and the version info reports the old version.) The documentation is also vague about which AppleID to use in which circumstance. I think they just haven't finished thinking through the implications of the various procedures and policies upon the various kinds of customers. When we deployed Mountain Lion on the school lab, we made an install usb and went around and installed it on each computer -- and it appears that you are on the honor system as far as paying for all of the licenses that you install. We did! But they appear to have no way to enforce it.
So far, I have only deployed 9 Lion macs in my day job, and our "solution" to the AppStore showing updates problem has been to drag the AppStore icon off of the users' docks so they don't see them! -
I accidentally set up two accounts. One account with my old e-mail address which I've been using for years and has all of my purchases on it. Now I have a new account with my current e-mail address. How do I disable this new account? I need to disable the new e-mail address account so that I can add it as an additional e-mail to my old account. THEN, how do I make this new e-mail address my primary e-mail for this old account?
Did yoo go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and sign out and sign back in?
