How do I distribute a form?

In my Distribute tab, I am only given the options to Open/Close the form and to Download the form. No other options or tabs are shown.

I had distributed the PDF, but when filling out the form and pressing SUBMIT, nothing happens. The data is not transmitted; the user doesn't get a completion message. So I figured I had distributed it incorrectly. I had gone outside of FormsCentral and attached the form to an email. Was this correct?

I have one page within a document I would like to use as a form and retrieve the information, how do I send my document and retrieve the information from the form within the doc?

If you're using FormsCentral to collect the responses, after you import the PDF into FormsCentral, open the form in FormsCentral and you'll see the Distribute tab as shown in the screen shot below:
It allows you to download the enabled PDF, which you can then distribute to users or post on a web site.

  • How do you distribute your forms? Can I put them on a site?

I am hoping you can answer another question for me. Its regarding distribution. It seems that forms can only be filled out when they are sent you the person which seems kind of laboring and we don’t have time to have people request that they need to fill out a form, and then us sending it to them.
Is there a way to have the form on a website that allows people to access it, fill it out, and submit it whenever they need to? Instead of asking to send it to them?

Srini, putting them on a website as a link is exactly what I am trying to do. This is possible with acroforms but when i convert my acroform to a livecycle form, i seem to lose that functionality because of the XML nature that it now has.
I work in a small department and no one wants to pay money to purchase something else. We meet the 500 user EULA for sure.
If you know how I can do this and where I can get more information, I would apprecate it. I am freaking out at work because I got everyones hopes up and now I dont know if it is capable of doing wat I said it would.

  • How to distribute a form with multiple submit buttons?

I have a form that has multiple submit buttons depending on the information that is being entered and then who the information should go to.  When I try to disbribute the form, I get an error message stating the following, "Acrobat is unable to distribute this form because it contains multiple submit buttons with different formats or return URLs."  Is anyone able to let me know how I can distribute the form?

Sounds as if you need your own web script to process submissions - written by an experienced web programmer (I very strongly recommend someone familiar with all the latest security weaknesses, and not a project for anyone else). Your needs are (it seems to me) too complex for Adobe's automatic system.

  • Having problems distributing my form

    Hi,
I can create a form just fine but when I come to distribute it, I get as far as choosing my recipients, clicking send and then the 'encountered a problem and need to close' error message pops up. This is the same no matter which distribution option I choose. I have Acrobat Standard but downloaded the 30 day trial of Pro to see if it made any difference - it didn't. This is getting rather annoying! Any ideas on how to successfully distribute my form?
Also, I love Adobe Forms Central - why can't the same form creation tool be used in Acrobat? It is so much easier to use for non-technical people like me.
    Thanks for your time.

Someone from our company's IT team helped figure it out.  I don't know if you're using it at work like I am, so I'll say that this is what worked for me, your mileage may vary.  Our OS is Windows XP Professional.
It seems like something in my Local Profile in Windows might have been corrupted, causing this issue.  Here's what we did:
We installed the latest Acrobat update just to be sure; while that didn't solve the issue entirely, it seemed like a good start.
When IT logged into my machine as Admin, the Distribute Form worked just fine.  This seemed to indicate perhaps a permissions issue, although that turned out not to be the case with some further testing.
IT ended up re-creating my Local Profile - first they renamed my old Desktop folder in order to save the files on there.  They created a new Local Profile, and once I rebooted and logged back in, that seemed to solve the issue with Acrobat crashing.  I'm now able to Distribute just fine.
We recopied my old Desktop files to the "new" Desktop folder and all was well.
Hope this helps someone having the same issue.  Consult your IT help desk for assistance.
    Cheers and good luck,
    Kevin

  • Distributing a form through FormsCentral

    Hello,
I have a subscription to the Creative Cloud. I'm tyring to distribute a form through FormsCentral. It keeps telling me I have to upgrade. How do I distribute my form? I don't have to upgrade anything, do I?
I did create my FormsCentral account before signing up for Creative Cloud. Is that causing a problem?

FormsCentral is not part of the Creative Cloud. They are two separate subscriptions. It doesn't matter when you created your FormsCentral account. You need to upgrade your free account to Basic or Plus if you want all of the FormsCentral functionalities.

  • I am currently using FormsCentral to distribute a form created in Acrobat. I need to add an option to one of the drop down fields but do not want to re-distribute the form due to reporting purposes. How can I do this?

I am currently using FormsCentral to distribute a form created in Acrobat. I need to add an option to one of the drop down fields but do not want to re-distribute the form due to reporting purposes. How can I do this?

You can open the form in Acrobat, select "File > Save a Copy", open the copy you just saved (it doesn't happen automatically), edit the dropdown to add the new item, save as a new file, and then Reader-enable the file by selecting: File > Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools. The resulting PDF should work with FormsCentral just like the original.

How do I distribute a PDF form to an outlook contact group?

I've had better luck converting my PDF forms to WORD documents by first printing to PDF so that I get a "non-form" PDF then saving as try67 noted.  The conversion came out much cleaner.  In my case it i for folks that need to make edits to the format or data submitted to us via PDF form - the type of edits that would be challenging if done to a PDF.

  • How to return fillable pdf form via distribute function in live cycle?

I am trying to have a fillable form be submitted back/returned by e-mail (through using outlook)to multiple users, via the distribute form function through livecycle, so that they know a pdf form has been completed and sent back and that I can place the information in the dataset as well (in case I need to export the info). Currently the distribute function only accepts it going to one e-mail, even if I seperate the e-mails with a ";". How do I have the form e-mail multiple users and allow me to place the form field data go into a dataset via distribution?

I tried it and I am seeing what you are seeing. If I send to a single user then it works fine. I think it might be outlook blocking the multi-address through programmatic interfaces. They do this so that viruses cannot turn your mail client into a spam generation. This is simply a guess.

  • How to keep submit button script when distribute the form.

I created a form with a submit button that generates an E-mail with a personalized subject and body message including some variables from the filled form.
When I distribute the form, the Submit button changes with a default message and all my job is lost.
Is ther any way to resolve my problem?

    Steps
    1. make a page with Submit Button and message Style Text item.
    2. Handle submit Button in Controller.
    3. Find current date and set for message Style Text item.
    Thanks

  • How do I upload a form to my website using form central?

How do I upload a form to my website using form central?

Using Form Central you can distribute your form as a web-based HTML form, a fillable PDF form, or both.
You can copy the URL or the embed code for the form and post it on your website. When a respondent clicks the link, the fillable form opens in a browser window.
The only exception: These options don’t apply to fillable PDF forms that you imported into Adobe FormsCentral.

  • Help needed in distributing the form

    Hello All ,
I have a LiveCycle form which has 6-8 Pages. The completed document needs to be protected after distributing so that it cannot be reproduced, but allow us to add, change, edit delete contents as required and especially to populate what is now marked as protected. How to do this in the best way. One thing I have very less idea about distributing a form. Can anybody please help regarding this ?
    Thanks.
    Bibhu.

You can use JavaScript to protect all form fields.
Bundled with a password you can design a workflow wich allows you to remove the rotection when needed.
    Here's an example:

  • How to save Fillable PDF form created in XI - So Acrobat Reader can fill out and send back

Hi, Im extremely hopeful someone can help me with this question, Ive had extreme luck with this question site, you have all been amazing.
I have created a fillable form in Adobe Acrobat XI and I have saved my work and Im ready to send the form to my client.
I have been told that I need to save my file in a manner that the general public that does not have Acrobat XI, and mainly has acrobat reader, will be able to open, fill my form out, and send back to me completed.
    How do I do this.
Ive run a couple tests with coworker and its not allowing the saving of the information that she filled out.
Does anyone know how I need to save and distribute this form so I get it back filled out from my clients? that probably have only reader?
thanks in advance for your help.
    Amy

I think I figured this out???? My pdf tester has gone to bed, so hopefully I will know by morning if this is my solution......
Open the PDF in Acrobat XI (the form you have saved that is ready to be filled out to whoever you distribute the form to).
Choose Advanced > Enable Usage Rights in Adobe Reader (Acrobat 8/9) (if you have XI do not do this step, but do step 4 for XI)
    or
File > Save As >Reader Extended PDF > Enable Additional Features (Acrobat X) (Its actually not in save as, but in save as other)
Save the PDF using a different file name, you will be using this new file to be the file you will distribute.
When you now open the PDF in Adobe Reader you will be able to fill the form and save the data and then send it back to the author that is requesting the form to be filled out.

  • How do I lock some form fields, but not all?

How do I create a form with interactive form fields where certain fields can be locked after being filled in, and others remain unlocked so the customer can interact with it?
    My workflow looks like this:
I created a PDF with open form fields for my client to distribute to their salesmen.
Salesmen receive a call, fill in the information gathered. (name, address, services, price quotes, etc)
Salesmen email the pdf form to the customer. All fields that they filled in now need to be non-editable, EXCEPT an "I agree" checkbox and a signature line.
    Help is greatly appreciated!
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
Before I go too deep into a suggestion, I need to know if you are using electronic digital signatures for signing the document? Or, are you expecting the customer to print the document, sign it with a pen and fax it back? The reason I ask is you could use digital signatures to lock specific parts of the document, but if you're not using them I won't bore you with the details.
    Thanks,
    Steve
