I need to do a full page of Avery J8163 labels with the same address printed on each label on the sheet and can't work out on Pages 09 how to do it.
Can some kind person please tell me how to do it.  Please be gentle with me as I am new to the ways of Mac having always used a PC before.

    CAB,
The 5163 template has the following dimensional specs:
    Dimensions & Info
    Length: 4.00000"          Height: 2.00000"
Top Margin: 0.50000"          Bottom Margin: 0.50000"
Left Margin: 0.18000"          Right Margin: 0.18000"
Hor. Spacing (gutter): 0.14000"          Vert. Spacing (gutter): 0.00000"
Intended Use: Mailing Labels, Shipping Labels, Address Labels
There's a great vendor site with this data readily available, better than the Avery site in my opinion. But, you can get the same info in the Contacts Print dialog pane.
You can grab a template matching these dimensions from that vendor site, Copy the table after opening the Word Template in Pages and drop the into a blank Numbers Sheet.
I found that Sheet side margins of 0.15" worked better than 0.18. For some reason the table wanted to flow to the next page to the right with 0.18". Turning off the Headers and Footers and setting Top and Bottom Margins to 0.5" worked well. These adjustments are made in the Sheets Inspector.
So, that will put the template you specified into a Numbers document and you can print labels properly aligned from there. Since your problem statement is a bit lacking in detail, that's all I can offer you at this point.

  • How do I format address labels to Avery 8160 using Pages?

Using Pages, how do I format address labels to Avery 8160 format?

Print them from Contacts/AddressBook or open a Word .doc for the 8160 label, available on Avery's website.

  • How can I make address labels, preferably matching Avery sizes, in Pages please?

How can I make address labels, preferably matching Avery sizes, in Pages please?  Please don't tell me there is no labels facility!!

If you have your addresses set up in Address Book, the logical place for them, that is also the logical place to print them from.
Pages will only use one data set per page, although there are ways around this. But then that wasn't your question.

  • How do you make address labels in Lion?

I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to make address labels or envelope labels from my address book?  I have done this before, but I recently upgraded my macbook pro to Lion, and now I can't figure it out!  I spent hours yesterday trying everything I could think of, but no luck.  I have tried using Pages, but still nothing!  Can anyone help me?

Did you have an address list defined in your address book last year? If so, you should be able to access it in the new Address Book by clicking on "View" and "Groups" and then (hopefully) your previous list will be there. If it is, just select it and then go to Print. Under "Style" choose "Mailing Labels." Select Layout on the tab next to Labels, and then select the type of labels; then click Labels. Choose from the drop-down menu on the order --I think the default is postal code order. Choose whether or not to print the country. This should work!
If you did not have a Group defined previously, you can go to File and New Group to create one.

  • How can I edit address labels from my address book to add spouse name?

Address book supports Spouse/partner/friend name but the label printing function of address book does not seem to and I can't see how to save a version that I can edit to manually add the missing partners. It only seems to allow me to print it as it is. What can I do? I also just bought Pages in the hopes of helping print christmas letter address labels but haven't figured it out yet

Warren: looking at other threads out there it doesn't appear that you can print the spouse/partner/friend field. One poster suggested using Avery DesignPro for Mac, which merges with your AddressBook, and allows you to select which fields to include.  The only caveat is that it doesn't show it working with Lion (os 10.7).  You can download it here:

    Hope this helps.

  • How do i make address labels

i am new to mac, difficulty using this system.
How do I create aa mailing list, or do i need to purchase more software.
T have a imac all in one.
    Tom

There may be, in fact, a way to do this in Pages, but for simple address labels I use the mac program which is available on the Avery sites which seems to do an alright job.  The software is free, so you could try it and see if you like it and if not, just delete it.

  • How to print avery address labels 5160

Sorry but I am not finding the right steps after reading several pieces of advice on this,
and am wondering if this is all different after upgrading to Lion.  I know I simply printed
labels at the holidays, but the types of Avery templates no longer shows up under
address labels on the print "layout" choices.  I do now have Pages, but they don't have
a mailing label option (why???) and I can no longer use Microsoft Word since upgrading
to Lion. Help! Can someone put this in really simple steps for me please?

Pages v5 does not play nice with current Avery label templates in Word format. Pages v5 does not natively perform mail merge without adapting a third-party AppleScript solution.
Labelist 8 is in the OS X App Store for USD $20. It is comprehensive, label software. Download button on their site gives you a free, full functional, 30-day trial. Recommend you consider Labelist over any Pages v5 kludge. Your time has a value.

    Hello madrinky,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
    Contacts: Print contact information
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11608
    Mailing labels:
Click Layout and choose a label type from the Page pop-up menu. To set page margins and gutter space between labels, and how many labels to print per page, choose Define Custom.
Click Label and choose the address to print from the Addresses pop-up menu (for example, print a label for each contact’s home address). Use other Label options to specify the print order, include a company for business mailings or a country for international mailings, or add a graphic.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

  • How do I create address labels?

    Hi:
Feeling stupid here. New to Pages and love it except for a few things. One of which is I cannot find a template for labels. Word had templates for all sorts of Avery labels and they were easy to create. Certainly Apple didn't leave this out of this great software. But I cannot find it. All I see are something about Axis - which causes great flashbacks to high school math.
    Thanks for your help.

Here is what Address Book Help says about mailing labels:
    ===============
    "Printing mailing labels
You can print sheets of mailing labels from your address book.
In the Address Book window, select your address book or a group in the Group column, or select the specific names in the Name column that you want to print.
Only contacts that have street addresses will be printed.
    Choose File > Print.
Choose Mailing Labels from the Style pop-up menu.
Configure the other print options as you want, then click Print.
Click Layout and choose a type of label from the Page pop-up menus. If you choose Define Custom, you can specify how many labels to print on a page and set the page margins and the gutter space between labels.
Click Label and choose the type of address you want to use from the Addresses pop-up menu. Choose the order to print the labels using the "Print in" pop-up menu. You can add a small graphic to your mailing labels by clicking the image Set button. Change the font by clicking the font Set button.
If contacts in the group you selected have multiple addresses, you can choose which address to use for each contact. Click Cancel to close the Print dialog. Then choose Edit > Edit Distribution List and select the addresses you want to use.
You cannot print directly from network directories. To print address book information for contacts in network directories, drag the contacts to your personal address book."
    =============
I just checked it out and you can choose an Avery type and also you can insert one of your images. I only tried it with JPEG, but other formats may work.
    Good luck,
    Walt

You need a database type software like the free LibreOffice which when you go to print, can select the standard Avery label format.
You can buy the Avery labels you want in a office supply store, it should have a number or "compliant with Avery 6750" for instance.
When you go to print your database, it will put the information you want into the correct label format when you go to print. So you select "Avery 6750" as your "paper option" instead of legal, letter etc.
You place the labels paper side down in the printer,  top facing in and click print on the computer and the labels are printed.
LibreOffice Database has the option of taking your Address book contents and importing it.
Under the File > Wizard > Address Data Source.
That's all I can help you with there. I haven't used LibreOffice to print out labels, so I don't know for sure if that capaicity is there or not, but it's a standard office practice for Office type software to do.
It is possible to manually create your own layout, but you have to print over and over until you get all the text right over each label.

  • Crystal Reports - Page Break/Create Address Labels

    Problem description:
I am creating a letter writer function for a Windows application. The how-to documentation I have is not providing the necessary step(s) for showing one record per page.  From what I have gathered there is a page break function, however, I have not been able to implement it.   I have set up a Crystal report in a .Net 2008 (Visual Basic) application with a Section 5 (Page Footer) and need to break and start a new page at this point.  One page per letter (record) for multiple letter distributions.
I also need specific instructions on how to create an address label maker for this application.  So far I was able to include a Crystal Reports form set up specifically for address labels but not to make it work.
Since the application will be distributed this is not a machine specific issue.

    Hello,
