Indeed, you can set the strings for the on and off state, but it will
only show the default off state text when running on a pocketPC. A
solution is to use two buttons: one to turn on and another to turn off.
By overlaying the two controls and hiding the last pushed button, you
can actually simulate a single button. See attachment (LV7.1).

As long as you are using the Report Generation Toolkit, there is no need to use ActiveX for the purpose of saving the Excel file -- Save Report will do that for you. You can then export (as text) all of the Excel data and use the Write Spreadsheet File to make the .CSV file. Here is how I would rewrite the final bits of your code --
I cleaned up the wires around Excel Easy Table a bit. You'll see I made a VI Icon for Replace Filename, which does (I think) a nicer job of self-documenting than showing its Label. To make the filename, add the correct extension (.xlsx for Excel, .csv for CSV), use Build Path to combine Folder and Filename, and wire to Save Report.
The next two functions add the Extract Everything and Write to Spreadsheet, using a Comma as a separator, which makes a CSV copy for you.

How to copy and paste Text in iMovie?

Applying text to clips in iMovie is a breeze, also customizing fonts & colour. However, when you finally have your text finalized, the logical thing is to reuse that design throughout the movie. As a previous Pinnacle Studio user, I intuitively would assume that you could select your text label and Copy / Paste it to a new position. Am I right in my observation iMovie seems not to have this functionality?

iMovie 08 has the ability to Copy and Paste text.
However, you cannot copy and paste the entire Title overlay. You are constrained to the pre-set Titles. Once you have selected a Title style, (let's say Lower Third), you can change the font and color. Then highlight the text and copy. You can put another lower third title elsewhere in the project and Paste the original text with font and color changes that you copied earlier.

How do I move default text along an arc over time?

I have placed "Default Text" on a separate video track. In the video, a hand is pointing along an arc for 1.5 seconds. I want the text to follow the arc as the hand is moving.
I stumbled upon how to do this while pointing and dragging at different things in the frame, then I messed up the edit and CTRL-Z'd myself back to a better point AND I LOST THE ABILITY to do it.
When it was working, I would see my text in its frame, and the center of the frame had a cross-hair. By positioning the scrubber at the start and ending points, there was a line drawn from the cross-hair to the text. The starting point had a line showing the beginning position, the ending point had it showing the ending position.
Now when I try to move the text, I get one of two things (neither of them work to my plan):
1) I have the "Adjustments" window open and the pointer tool is used to fix the position of the text in my "Default Text" frame.
2) I am moving the entire frame around in the preview window and the cross-hair moves along with it.
I had stumbling onto something and I don't know how I got there.

No. My apologies. I'm not looking to align text over an arc. I am looking for a way to move fixed text along a path.
Let's use the the word "Hello" to represent the text. The text is in the lower left. Two seconds later, the text is in the upper right. When you play the video the word "Hello" moves from the lower left to the upper right over a span of two seconds and it does so in an arc.
How I've learned to do it:
Position the scrubber and select the text segment in the timeline.
Select Tools> Pan and Zoom.
Click "Done"
The default is crap, and I don't want it.
Look in the preview window. You will see the frame of your text box with control squares on the outside and a crosshair in the middle. The crosshair has a dot in the middle of it.
Patiently press CTRL-Z 4 or 5 times until the dot goes away. This gets rid of all of the default Pan and Zoom effect.
Then press CTRL-SHIFT-Z (Redo) to get that dot back.
You are now in free-hand pan and zoom. <---- That's the tool I want.
Position the scrubber within your text segment's timeline to the exact point you want to free-hand pan and zoom.
Click the center of the crosshair. That's the beginning of your arc.
Move the scrubber to a few more points along the text segment and click the center of the dotted crosshair to create points along an arc.
As you edit this way, you will notice a dotted line between the anchor points. This shows you how fast the pan will move. More points means slower movement. You will also have bezier tools to control the curve of the arc. (I'm discovering all of this myself in the time it takes me to type this).
If you want, you can also change the size of the frame using the controls on the sides of the frame to create zoom in and out effects.
It's a nifty little tool. What's the shortcut?

Considering that your times have non-numerical chars you have no choice but to read them as Strings. Once you have done that you will need to parse the times yourself, ie spilt it into the three separate bits of data. Then you can use the Calendar class if you wish or you can keep a running tally yourself. Just don't forget to tick over seconds when milliseconds reaches 999 and tick over minutes when seconds reach 59.

How do I create a text insertion of the current time? My "date

My "date & time" stamp under Insert only prints the date. I can edit it to include the time each time I use it, but this is a real bother, as I use it often and want the time included. Actually I want a separate time stamp to keep track of time spent on specific projects. If there is no separate time stamp in Pages (hard to believe), can I create one that will print the current time without including the date? Second best: edit the "date & time" to always and automatically include the time?

Right click on the date after inserting > Edit Date & Time > Choose the Time only option
There is no way I know to have it default to this unfortunately.
You can try inserting the start time and have an updating time in a Table and calculate the difference, but the problem is the update only happens on reopening the document, not on saving.

How do you add plain text?

Hi all!
I have a very simple question, which is just what it says in the subject line of this topic.
How do I add plain text into iMovie? No fades, no slides, no nothing, just plain text?
From what I've been searching online, no one has answered this question, but then again, no one has asked it either.
All I could find was 1 yahoo thread with the question in which the answer was not clear at all.
I've been trying to find it myself by snooping around in iMovie, but as you might guess, unsuccessfully.
From snooping around I've come to draw the conclusion that you probably can't add plain text into iMovie via iMovie directly.
However, and idea I had was, if I create an image in, lets say Paint 2, with whatever plain text I want to add, and then insert it into the project. Will this have the same effect?
Can anyone please confirm this? I'm going crazy just looking for such a simple feature hehehe.

hmm, well ... a video isn't meant for reading (resolution, compression, blabla). ...
so 'text' in a video should be very large in font, avoid tiny details, too much contrasts ... blabla again
Advice using the Title-feature as 'text' isn't wrong.
plus, iMovie is no text-processor, you copy/paste larger amounts of letters into it.
If you need/want 'a page full of text' in iMovie, indeed you have to do the roundtrip by creating a 'picture' of your text-page, and insert that jpg to your Project.
The good news:
if your 'picture (=text page) is longer than the video screen, you can apply a nice Ken Burns effect to 'scroll' through the text ... in case, your audience reads as fast as you.
bad news: max is 5:1 ratio of the 'page' ... so, no 'books' please ...
Aside Star Wars ("... in a galaxy far, far away from here"), you should avoid 'text' longer than a usual title.
(this answer/workaround isn't in the 'canned' replies of our hosts, you should forgive'em ... )

Report workload by calculating how many versions of SharePoint list items created in a certain time period

I have a total of 66 SharePoint 2010 lists - yes, 66! - each lists contains between 1500 and 3200 list items. My employees update these various list items throughout their workday. Each update to a list item creates a new version of the list
item. On average each list item will have anywhere from 5 to 10 versions before it is done. I need to create a report that tells me how many list items they've updated in a certain time frame. I have come close but still cannot arrive at
the data I'm looking for.
This is what I have so far:
I've created a report using SQL Report Builder 2008 v3 where I've filtered it to show only items MODIFIED between, for example, Feb1 and Feb28. Of those records, I want the report to tell me how many versions were created during that time
frame. The result is one list item with 5 total versions. Versions 1.0, 2.0, & 3.0 were created on 12/12/14. The last two versions, 4.0 and 5.0, were created on 2/24/15. Therefore, the answer I'm looking for is 2 because they
created 2 versions between Feb1 and Feb28.
However I get the following results using these queries:
If I do a =Sum(Fields!owshiddenversion.Value) in the expression field I get the total versions which is 5
If I do a =Count(Fields!owshiddenversion.Value) in the expression field I get the instance which is 1
Is there a way to count ONLY the number of versions created in a time period? Is there another hidden field in SharePoint that I can use in the expression that will give me results I'm looking for?

Per my understanding that you have already get all the need fields and informaiton of the updated version of list items and now you want to calculate how many versions of SharePoint list items created in a certain time period, you can't get desired result
using sum and count function, right?
I have tried to tested on my local environment but because I am not clear what is value in the field "owshiddenversion", I assumed you have two datatype parameters (StartDate and EndDate) to help filter the report in a certain time period.
Generally, if you have add the filter correctly, it will filter the correct number's updated version in this time period, I would like you to provide details information as below to help better analysis the requirements:
Could you please provide sample data of the table.
Please provide snapshot of the report structure you have currently designed.
Please try to provide all the expression you have used.

Go to the Map, Background & Animatic Browser (last button in the centre tool bar alongside the Transition button). Drag the Black background (or any background) to your project. From an Event, drag the video selection directly onto the Black clip in the project. As you drop the video clip, a pop-up menu will appear. Select Picture in Picture.
Your video will appear as a small picture within the black clip. Click on it and reposition it to the centre of the viewer, using the yellow guide lines to get the exact centre position. Resize the Picture in Picture if desired by dragging the corner handles.
NOTE: You may need to extend the duration of the Black clip to match the duration of the video clip. Double-click on the Black clip to open the Inspector, then adjust the duration there.

I am trying to create a disc of player highlights for a collegiate coach, and I am using movie files downloaded to my hard drive from a DVD created on a PC.

No unfortunately it won't open in quicktime either. It does the same thing that Imovie does, separates it into two file folders audio and video, and if i select video it opens to reveal 8 files that cannot be selected. VIDEO_TS.BUP, VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.VOB,VTS_01_0.BUP, VTS_01_0.IFO, VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VB, VTS_01_3.VOB. All of which cannot be opened or selected.
Opening it in Idvd and folllowing your suggestion works and I get a format code of NTSC. Is that the same? Thank you for your time and response.
