How do I filter on multiple values / labels within a Pivot Table which points to a Power Pivot Model

How do I filter on multiple values / labels within a large data set within a Pivot Table which points to a Power Pivot Model. I am current using Excel 2010 64 bit. I intend to empower users to achieve this by simply using the Excel user interface, not by
using Excel formula or DAX. Please find the attached screen shot as a worked example, also in my real life example not all the values are available in the drop down. You can't use a slicer for the same reason as you can't use a drop down. I guess what I was
hoping for is for the user to be able to enter AND or OR within the associated dialog box. Is there any way around this?

How to use Ajax Get Multiple Values in Tabular form?

I am trying to use AJAX to get multiple values in tabular form by using Denes Kubicek's example in the following link -

Basically, I want to use the drop down list to populate rest of the values on the form.
I have created the example(Ajax Get Multiple Values, application 54522) on Oracle site -

I was able to duplicate his example on page 1 (home page).
However, I want to use system generate tabular form to finish this example, and was not able to populate the data correctly.
Page 2 (method 2) is the one that I am having trouble to populate the column values. When I checked application item values in Session, and the values seems to be populated correctly.
This is what I have done on this page:

The XML that was returned by your XML process would be something like

When you don't use apex_item to create your tabular form a item in the table will look like

I have a page with a form to filter the subsequent page by
the state that the samples were submitted from. on the first page I
have a menu which will allow muliple selections from it. How do I
set up the recordset on the subsequent page so that it will return

SharePoint doesn't support the filter control with mulitple checkboxs in list column head in SharePoint 2007, which is supported in SharePoint 2013 as you find, it seems there is no OOB configuration approach (or with SharePoint designer) could achieving
this goal.
I thinks it has to write the custom code to implement filtering the same one column with multiple values or use some third party commercial web parts as Dimitri suggested.

I want to implement multiple value helps in the same view.For that I have declared exporting parameters of type 'wdy_key_value_table.' within the component controller for each of the value helps.While I do activate and test the application I get the following error :

Hint is : A row with the same key already exists it means , It is assigning the same value/Key to row and you are calling it at WDDOINIT so it giving error at the time of initialization .
Better way to do the coding at some event in view OR if not possible than just execute the first value help in wddoinit later clear all the value before gettig the other Value help. Code it at WdDoModify View to get its run time behaviour.

How to Extract R/3 Multiple Valued variant Classification Data in BI

                    got stuck in a situation where I am in need of your help. My Client want to extract the R3 Classification Data(Variant, Batch) into BI. I will share till what point I had reached. Used Transaction Code CTBW, was Trying to create Datasource based on Basic datasource 2LIS_11_VAITM for transactional Data. when I was trying to add the new Characteristics (CVN_L_AVG_SH) using Class with type 300(Variant), Getting an error "Characteristic has Multiple Values". I do know that Characteristics (CVN_L_AVG_SH and a fewmore) is having Multiple values, how can I add the same so that I can create classification datasource. Tried SDN got a PDF " How to Extract R/3 Classification Data in BI by Affine" but didn't helped Much.

You cannot extract the multiple values using classification data sources, this data can be extracted by creating a generic extractor based on a view (with join on tables AUSP and INOB). this extractor brings the data in the following format.
OBJEK | ATINN | ATZHL | ATWRT
1 | HOBBY | 1 | CRICKET
1 | HOBBY | 2 | PAINTING
1 | HOBBY | 3 | READING
2 | HOBBY | 1 | CRICKET
2 | HOBBY | 2 | PAINTING
3 | HOBBY | 1 | READING
i.e. for field Hobby these are values assigned, if you want you can create 3 InfoObjects in BW and flatten this data by setting flags as below.
OBJEK | HOBBY_CRICKET | HOBBY_PAINTING | HOBBY_READING

2 | X | X |    |
3 |    |    | X |

It doesn't look like you posted either the complete query or the complete error message (including line number). Try again.
"single row subquery return more then one row" usually means you are using a sub-query in a place where a single expression is expected, for example the column called avg_sal in this query:
SELECT ename
,       sal
,       (SELECT AVG (sal) FROM scott.dept WHERE deptno = e.deptno) AS avg_sal -- Scalar-sub-query
FROM    scott.emp e; The error occurs when the sub-query returns more than one row
If the sub-querry really is supoosed to be returning only one row, the solution is to fix the sub-query, usually be adding something to the WHERE clause.
If the sub-query is supposed to return more than one row, then the main query has to be re-written, perhaps as a join.
Post a little sample data and the results you want from that data if you need help.

Library Filters: Filter for multiple values in a single column and Wildcards

If you have a multi-value column in a library, can you filter to show only results where two (or more) specific values (terms) are applied? E.g. Year 2014 and Month January? Seems this would be particularly useful for Enterprise Keywords columns.
Similarly, is there any way to filter on one value OR another value in a single column (e.g. Document Type Memo OR Fax)?
Any way to use wildcards in searches (would be REALLY useful in the Title and Name columns when naming conventions have been followed).
I'm guessing the answer is going to be 'move to SharePoint 2013' - if that is the case, please confirm whether all the scenarios mentioned above are catered for.

I refuse to read all of that code and guess what error message you are getting. Apparently others feel the same way.
Run the final SQL statement and then cut and paste the code and full error statement into a post.
Also include your full version number to three decimal places.

SSIS-How to pass multiple value to stored procedure from table row one by one using ssis package??

I want to execute a stored procedure using ssis.But the problem I am having is that there is a table with 200 rows with only
single column.Now i want to execute stored procedure using value one by one from table .once the stored procedure is executed with top value from table i also want to delete that topmost column value and execute with next table value.and store the result in

If you want to do it in SSIS, a way to do this is by using For Each Loop as mentioned above.
Create 1 OBJECT type variable (list of values) and one STRING type variable (one value at a time)
Use EXE SQL Task with ResultSet = FULL RESULT SET and query = SELECT COL FROM TABLE ORDER BY COL ASC...output this to the OBJECT type variable
Next, a For Each loop container with Foreach ADO Enumerator, ADO object source variable = Object type variable and map that to String type variable with index = 0.
Within your for each loop container, select another EXEC SQL Task and pass in an input parameter (the String type variable) and query = EXEC PROC ? -- WHERE ? = String type variable.
This will execute your store procedure just for that one value out of the whole list.
Now within the same For Each loop, select another EXEC SQL Task and again pass in an input parameter (the same String type variable) and query = DELETE FROM TABLE WHERE COL = ? -- WHERE ? = the current value
The above process should A) get the list of values from the table B) pick one value at a time and execute the proc and delete and right after delete that value from the table.

I've to use share point 2013 lists to create power view reports. For that, I need to create Power Pivot in Excel 2013.
I'm fine with the above. We normally take a data feed of a list and create connection to that. We need to create a connection file (.odc) and export it into a excel file connection library of Share point. The connection to be made to share point list. The
power pivot will be having multiple related lists.
How can I create a connection file which is referring to share point list

Finally, I could find the answer for this question after a long search.
First of all, open a new excel file in server.
Data-->From other connection-->From data connection wizard-->data feed-->Location of the data feed-->
http://sharepointsite/sitename/_vti_bin/ListData.svc
-->next-->select the lists which you need-->next-->only create connection-->properties--->export connection file
-->ok
The connection file has been created and .odc file exported to the specified location.
Open power pivot and check the connection in existing connections.
Exported file has to be uploaded in Excel file connection library of share point 2013. So that you can refer the same in this excel file when you upload it into share point.

Filter on multiple values

I am attempting to filter a dataset with multiple menus. The
menus are made up of text links.
I need a function that will take values from the text links
and apply them as filters to the dataset. Each time a link is
clicked it will pass another value (up to a total of 3) that will
further filter the dataset. This should provide my users with a
powerful searching tool.

What you want is "fairly" complicated. I can point you in the
right direction on how to do multiple filters though.

How to read Filter selection variable values into ABAP code

HI IP Gurus,
Requierement: In my filter characterstics, i have assigned variables, which use will enter when running th e planning sequence.
so variable values entered by user , i would like to get those values into ABAP code and pass them to some function module.
SO please give me step by step detail how to achive this.
MY understanding use the below method . but not sure how to proceed.Please let me know abap code to get values.
GET_TAB_PARAM_DATA_SEL and GET_PARAM_DATA_SEL.

So In RSPLF1 , in paramters tab, Do i have create structure(str1) and then create component Data selection (Dtsel1) under str1(what setting i have to do here, where should i enter variable value and do i need to give info object name and how do it in code.i tried to following example, not able to get any values in tab_sel .

other thing i found out is in Initialization method i can read i_t_data_charsel table values , where it contains filter slected values.but could not pass these values to execute method

How to sum row level multiplication values between two measure?

Hi All ,
In the CUBE i want to create a calculation , which in SQL Server is = sum(calldur*callind). The calldur is a measure which has numeric values. Callind has values of 1 and 0 (factless fact ). please see the below datasets.
calldur callind sum(caldur*callind)
54 1 54
0 0 0
25 1 25
58 0 0
31 1 31
300 0 0
297 0 0
but what the cube is doing is (call dur is selected as sum measure) and i selected (callind as max value)
adding all the calldur which is 765*1, where as the value should be sum of sum(calldur*callind) which is 110.please need help.

The simplest way to do this is to do the multiplication in the query that you are using as the source for your measure group or to add a calculated column in your DSV.
Another solution would be to use a measure expression in the cube, but this has much worse performance as it effectively forces the storage engine to alway scan at the lowest level.
