How do I get NIDAQ to allow 8 differential channels on a PXI 6031E card?

The PXI 6031E card contains 32 differential analog inputs (64 SE). However, in MAX, it is not possible to select Differential mode for any channels past the first 8. If you run the Test panels for the 6031E card (configured for differential input), selecting channels 8-31 results in an error. (0-7 operate correctly).

Yep! The URL has the answer. My problem statement wasn't quite accurate in that I claimed that I had errors on channels 8-31...Actually 8-15 and 24-31 were invalid and caused errors. What is/was confusing is that when editing an analog channel in MAX, and differential mode is selected, MAX allows the user to select invalid channel numbers(e.g. 8-15). The MAX editor requires the user to somehow "know" (or access the above URL) to skip 8 points to get to the next group of valid differential analog channels (16-23). It would be better if the channel number selector only displayed valid selections - based on the selected mode.

Tom, thanks for your quick reply. I'm a commerical photographer using Canon 5D mk2's mostly and have in the past just downloaded images to a mac book for backup. I really liked the compact size of the Ipad and just got the retina model with the camera connection kit and seem to be hearing that CF readers can't be used with it b/c they draw too much power. Seems like I remember reading I could use a cord that might have come with my cameras to download directly to the Ipad. I haven't tried it yet as I can't find the connection but then you just said it can't be done?
   I'm COMPLETLY lost as to your "first pluging in a flash drive to my computer, advice. Do you mean Ipad when you say computer? "then put your movie/photo files into the folder." HOW????????

I am having a problem getting FireFox to allow the RealDownloader plugin.
I have used Add-on Manager to set the RealDownloader plugin to Always Activate
BUT on certain websites, FireFox give me a bar asking if I want to allow it to run RealDownloader or continue blocking it. I select Allow and Remember
BUT the next day when I go to the same site it again gives me the same bar asking if I want to allow RealDownloader or continue blocking it. And, AGAIN, I select Allow and Remember -- but the next day it does the same thing.

How do I get Thunderbird to allow me to choose SMTP than IMAP when reinstalling after a system crash?

I had a system crash in Jan. After the crash recovery (Windows had written over parts of the disc but recovered most things; however, they were set to states as if they had just been installed), Thunderbird did something I was unhappy with & I reinstalled it. When I did, it did not allow me to select IPOP or IMAP but came up with IMAP, which I had never used before & knew nothing about. However, now having read about IMAP & having used it with Comcast, I dislike it intensely--it's slow & cumbersome & doesn't allow me to save emails with everything permanently attached to them. I haven't had the time to pursue it until now. How can I get back to using IPOP?

POP and IMAP are the two incoming mail protocols.
SMTP is the outgoing mail protocol.
Maybe when Apple invents their own email protocol it will be iPOP like all their other iSomethings

I found the same issue trying to update pictures for the AppleTV3.
From what I can determine the issue is in iTunes itself not being able to select the new Photos app file format.
You will note that if you look inside your "Pictures" folder there is a new file called "Photo Library.migratedphotolibrary" (which is really a database of existing iPhoto pictures), plus a new file "Photos Library.photoslibrary".
Well, for whatever reason, it appears Apple missed or forgot that iTunes needs to be able to read the new file. Of course you can see your existing iPhoto pictures inside of Photos, but when it comes to being able to select them to share in iTunes, it just is not selectable - so much for the "IT JUST WORKS" factor - yet another defect from my perspective.
Besides this being some form of defect, it really is not intuitive that you have go into iTunes to select photos for the AppleTV. Or, rather it is not obvious as the Apple TV does not show up like the other iOS devices. User Experience (UX) is a hide and seek feature.

I have changed the preferences under File Management to Do Nothing when memory card is detected, but still every time I put a memory card in it opens the program. Honestly if I can't get it to stop, I'm going to uninstall it and use Aperture.

How can I get properties of global virtual channels using DAQmx?

I'm using DAQmx with VB6. In my app, I would like to be able to present the user with a list of available predefined channels to select from. I can use DAQmxGetSysGlobalChans to get a list of the channels, but I need a way to sort out which of these channels are defined as inputs, and which are outputs. It would also be nice to be able to query other properties of the virtual channel (for example, the device and physical channel being used). These all seem very simple things, but I haven't found anything like this in the documentation so far.

How do I get Itunes to allow music onto 2nd Ipod?

I've got 2 Ipods (one for me, one for wife). When I plug my wife's Ipod into computer, Itunes recognizes it, but won't allow it to copy over some albums that were purchased back when DRM was the norm. Is it not possible to share an older bought album? I get this error message below....
"Some of the items in the Itunes library, including X, were not copied to the Ipod '(name)'s Ipod' because you are not authorized for them on this computer."
But the problem isn't the authorization of my computer, it already is authorized. Is there a way I can get Itunes to recognize this second Ipod and get this albums copied to the second Ipod? The home sharing information hasn't been helpful since it doesn't apply to just one computer.

You need to authorize your computer.
It has nothing to do with the ipod. You can sync as many of your ipods/iphones/ipads as you like.
