How do i get the material type after submitting a create material request?

Hi All,
I have to select an agent depending on the material type of the material being created? I'm not using the rule based workflow for material creation in MDG 7.0, I'm using WS46000057. How do I get the material type being used in the workflow so that I can create a rule and select an agent accordingly from a custom table.
Any kind of help would be sincerely appreciated.

Why not use the rule-based workflow template?
Where do you want the material type? This is a standard workflow template and I'm not sure you can enhance it.
In any case, in order to read CR details, you need to use the MDG API classes. These are described in this document: Master Data Governance Application Programming Interface Guide. Keep in mind that different API classes were developed for different releases so make sure to pick the class right for your release.

You need to use two tables.
First use VBFA. Enter the sales order number in the field Predecessar and the value M in SubCt field. This will give all the billing document number for the sales order items.
Then use the billing document numbers in table VBRK, where in you can get the billing document type.

How could i get the material description in cost esti itemization view?

I have created the process order (T.Code COR1) and calculate the cost & get the material costing details.but i required to see the material description (Packaging material) rather than the material code (PK01-1204) in costing itemization view.
E.g.
SAP Material Code: PK01-1204 - Description - Packaging material.
while checking the costing view i had see the Material code PK01-1204 in itemization.but i required the material description (Packaging material) in itemization view.
Please help me to overcome this issue......

Dear Dhananjay,
You can have Material description in Itemization by following way :
Go to Itemization screen -
> Change layout ( On top you will find icon for this , below Display Itemization text)
In change layout you will see Filter icon ---> select Plant / Material Text by dropdown in it and save it so you will find material description in itemization.
Try above which will resolve your issue.
Revert in case any problem.

How can I get the material consumption of the month for each specific Finished Good?

Dear Experts,
This is the first time I open a discussion. I'm new at this. I've been reading for a couple of months your forums and certainly you've helped me a lot. Thanks for that. Keep it up! ^_^
Now on business. Let me explain a bit about what I'm looking for.
I've been looking for a report that shows me the material consumption of the month in quantities. Raw Material and Packaging Material to be more specific. Also I need to see the consumption of those materials by each specific Finished Good.
For example, I know the consumption of Flour of all the month, but we use it for all our Finished Goods or SKU's as we call them, since we make cookies. How can I know how much Flour each Finished Good actually used?
I've been trying with different T-Codes, reports, etc. The last thing I've got is using transaction MB51 and filtering movements type from 261 to 262. The beauty of this report is that shows me the Process Order number, since I can match the PO number to a Finished Good with another report from BI (or BEX, however you call it).
Everything was fine until I found that there are some PO's that are not directly related to a Finished Good, but to a Semi Finished Good. In some cases I'm able to match the Finished Good, since the majority of Semi Finished Goods are uniques to a Finished Good. But there are three specific cases that are my problem right now:
Cream X: We use it for three Finished Goods.
X Syrup: We use it for all the Finished Goods.
Refined X Sugar: We use it for three Finished Goods.
So those three are Semi Finished Goods which are related to certain numbers of PO's I have on the report.
In the end, with the report from MB51 I have all the list of materials (filtering only Raw and Packaging), I have the consumption of the month (filtering movements 261 and 262) and I have the PO number related to each material. Of course one material is listed many times on the report, but with different PO number.
Then, like I said, I can match the PO number to a Finished Good, except in the cases where the PO is not matched to a Finished Good, but to a Semi Finished Good like the three examples I gave you.
I don't know if there's another way to track the Finished Good having the PO number. I've tried T-Code COR3, but couldn't get too far.
I hope I explained myself a bit clear and also sorry if my English is not so good.

How do I get the notes back after an iOS update? Not as easy as you think....

This is a strange case. I had a previous iPad 1 synced to my pc, 2 years ago. That iPad is long gone. I now have a different iPad 1 that was never synced to any pc, and actually had a couple of apps purchased from different users. The apps aren't the problem.
I synced this second iPad to my pc and it seemed happy as can be. I then updated the iOS. When it was done it had nothing other than factory apps and no data. So I restored it.....
But it restored the OLD iPad! It even renamed this iPad to the old name. It replaced my notes with the notes from that old iPad.
I've fixed all the app problems. But how can I get those notes back? I've looked at the backups, but note that it never had me back it up, it only synced.

There is quite a difference between syncing and back-up and they are different features in iTunes, although some people combine them together.
1. The first thing that happens when you connect your device is that a photo manager asks if you want to offload your photos. I always do this because it is the most valuable way to back-up your photos only.
2. Then Itunes will come up and if you have automatic sync turned on it will begin to sync FROM your computer to your device. It's a one-way sync and is the primary way to keep photos, music and some apps managed on your device. New apps are synced onto your Itunes app tab. If you add or delete items in your iTunes folders then those changes are synced to your device. I always check to make sure my new apps are now in my iTunes library and specific device tab.
4. There is also a back-up step where you can back your device onto your computer. I think this is the step that should have been done when you got your new PC. It doesn't save the apps here but does save their setting and data. I prefer to set this up to be a manual back-up process.

5. There is also a a "Automatically sync new apps checkbox in your itunes device apps tabs. That should be checked "on".
6. If the missing apps were purchased through iTunes then I think you can download them again (make sure you use the same Apple Id). If you then resync with itunes those apps should appear in iTunes for you.

Database. The JDBC driver that I am using is Oracle's thin driver.
In the DB, I have a table that has a primary key as a sequence number.
Upon inserting a single row into this table, how can I get this serial
number that is generated by the Database.
Previously I was using INFORMIX database and welogic's JDBC drivers and this
is how I get the serial number.
PreparedStatement ps = ...
ps.setObject(......);
ps.executeUpdate();
int snumber =
(weblogic.jdbc.informix4.Statement) ps.getSerialNumer()
Similarly I have tried to use
(oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleStatement) ps.getSerialNumber()
But this method does not exist in the JDBC thin drivers.

ORACLE don't support serial number as Informix, but you can create sequence table
and every time get the next value from this table.

How do i make the program hold after it has created a JFrame

I have created a JFrame with which the user shall login to a server. I call this JFrame from my main method (the JFrame-class is in a separate file). My problem is that after the login-window is created and set visible, my main method continues, i would like it to wait until the user have logged in before running the rest of the code.
this i my main method:

i have tried to use a while-loop to solve my problem:

}these while-loops never breaks, i have waited for about 3 min after successful login.It isn't because Session.isLoggedin() returns false, it does return true after a successful login (i've checked).
the funny thing however is if i print something in the while-loop i does break when login is finished
example:

    System.out.println(Session.isLoggedin());
    if(Session.isLoggedin())
        break;
}this code makes the program wait until the login-phase is complete but i don't want it to print "text" a few thousand times while the user is logging in. (i've used "hej" as output aswell)
Since i have no idea how long it will take for a user to log in i can't use the System.sleep(value) method.
I would really appreciate any help

I have a page where I am accepting a ket column from the users , Now I want to have to buttons where user can enter one row and click 'Create & Exit' which would them to the menu. Here's an approach:
Delete your existing Create button and then redefine it as a copy of Create & Exit.
Then create two Page Branches, one that branches back to your Menu when the Create & Exit is pressed and another Page Branch that remains on your current page when the Create button is pressed.

How to get the current type of a generic Field Symbol

I have a Field Symbol:
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <lf_any> TYPE ANY.
I loop around an internal table with a generic structure and assign their fields to my fieldsymbol:
LOOP AT it_data ASSIGNING <lf_any>.
After executing this statement I am able to see the current Absolute Type of the field Symbol in debugger.
For example this could be TYPE ZX_1 in first loop, TYPE ZX_2 in second loop and so on...
Question: How can I get this current type within my Loop?
The Reason is I have to CREATE DATA xxx TYPE "current type of the field symbol".
