How do I go about obtaining php 5.1 and mysql 4.1 ?

With Debian I googled and found packages needed.
I am guessing with Arch being so much smaller I am going to have to take a different approach, is there an archive, or am I going to have to create these from scratch ?
This is to match the versions on my webserver.

Should I erase the back-up on my new computer, erase the appss or whatever and start from scratch? Kind of not sure how to handle, please help.

I was wondering if you could help we with this.
PART 1
i have a table of students info. I give the students praise
points for doing well in the lesson.
I want to compare two students's praise points, if one is
bigger (Higher) than the other i want to be taken to a win page, if
it is a draw to a draw page and a loss to a loss page.
i have a record set on the page that i am using to display
student1's info in a table on the left and student2s info on the
right (Student2s praise points are not visible and i dopnt want
them to be)
I want to click on a button/link that compares the praise
points.
PART 2
If the result is a win, i want the feild win in the database
for that student to be increaded by 3 points, if it is a draw then
by 1 and if it is a loss nothing to happen.
So i think i need an if/elseif statement and an INSERT
STATEMENT? im not sure.

The weird thing is that this aint working for me, although it's correct
When I open a .php file with apache, he doesn't recognize its extension and my browser asks me to open or save it...
However when I deleted the .php in the url (localhost/info instead of localhost/info.php) he DID load the phpinfo page.
Now after al lot of testing that doesn't even work anymore (although I'm pretty sure that my config files are exactly the same as when that did work)
(and I'm using rc.d/httpd)

Since everyone should have an active and current backup on an external drive using TimeMachine, the easiest way is to connect that drive to the new computer before you turn it on. During the setup process you'll come to the Setup Assistant. Tell it you want to restore from a backup drive, choose your backup and then choose the account(s) you want to transfer. It will also, if you choose, copy all the configurations and applications to the new computer.
The second best way is to connect the two computers via ethernet (not WiFi, WiFi is too slow - I've seen WiFI take 24+ hours) However I've periodically run into slowdown problems using the network method (even with a fast ethernet connection) which is why I strongly suggest using the backup.

I want to read a value from a php file with this method :

But when you do this, the php file is excecuted and the
variables will be read.
But what if you have a check in your php and after a few

Actually that's not how the Flash Player works. Flash doesn't
really know anything about your PHP code. What happens in a typical

There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) Application Memory, 2) Device Memory, and 3) Media/SD Card Memory.
Application Memory -- This is the most crucial; it is the protected (not user accessible), dedicated, and fixed (in size) space that is available as the destination for the installation of applications (plus some application storage, overhead and such). You cannot touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can only install here...there is no option.
Device Memory -- This is space on your BB that you can touch to store files, pictures, media, etc. Typically, it is not terribly large, but it is available to you.
SD/Media Card Memory-- This is what it says...your SD card, for you to store files, media, pictures, etc. It can be as large as your BB OS can support...see this KB:

On some devices/OS levels, you can only see "File Free" (Options > Status), which I think is equivalent to AppMemory. On other devices, you can see all three memory usage levels (Options > Memory). Here are some guidelines to use:

Lastly, it is always important to properly close applications when you are done with them. Using the Back or the Red key will not do this -- those leave it to the app to decide what to do...and some will leave themselves resident in memory, consuming resources on your BB, slowing the overall performance. Rather, to close an app, press and select "Close" or "Exit"...that will force the application to be closed, freeing up for your new use the resources it was consuming. Some apps will always remain running (typically -- BBMessenger, Browser, Homescreen, Phone, and Messages)...but, you should still close them properly - especially the Browser...if it is left on an active web page, it will not only consume extra resources but battery power as well.
Further, anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure. Some have taken to doing this on a regular basis as a preventive measure...some as frequently as once per day. Others have obtained the QuickPull app to automate a simulated Batt-Pull.

If I tried a variable, it works ok... The array, not... Any ideas?

And so it should, because that is what you told the PHP-script to do in the following line of code.
$foo[]='{dsCALC::DataPrice}';
Please remember that PHP code is handled on the server, whereas JavaScript (Spry) is handeld on the client (browser) end. JavaScript cannot be handeld by PHP nor can JavaScript handel PHP.
My question to you is, why do you want to store the data in a PHP-array and how is the Spry data obtained?
