  • I am trying to screen capture a simulation session in captivate 6 and then edit it in premiere pro cc 2014 when I import the video into premiere, it is blurry

    Caveat - I am relatively new to adobe captivate and premiere, so hopefully this is a simple setting issue that I have not been able to figure out.  When I do a video capture in captivate 6 the output mp4 is very clear.  If I play it in windows media player it is crisp and clear.  If I import that same mp4 into Premiere Pro CC 2014, it is very blurry.  My simulation has gauges and dials that need to be clear and I need to "mix" audio, narration, and system sounds into this video.  Any help would be extremely appreciated!

    OK - back to my caveat.  When I select preferences in Premiere and look at the playback setting, I get options for Preroll, Postroll, Step forward/back many, mercury transmit, Audio device, Adobe DV and disable video output when in backgroud (all of which I am not smart enough to comprehend).
    I apologize for my ignorance. So as I continued to read your question, I, of course googled "how to set playback resolution in premiere pro" and I learned how to do that....  They were set to 1/2.  I adjusted to full and it seems to be clear now....  I think you just helped me, help myself.  Thank you!  Did I get it right?  Is there any more you can recommend when it comes to taking a screen capture video and making it into an awesome demo?
    Thank you, Thank you, Thank you,
    Troy

  • Premiere pro cc 2014 doesn't show the keyboard shortcut

    I've tried many times , but Premiere doesn't show me the keyboard shortcut window.
    Any idea?
    I'm working on an imac 27 (late 2011) with 16 gb ram, i7 and osx 10.7.5

    Hi marco,
    MAC OS 10.7.5 is not a supported OS for Premiere Pro CC 2014 version. So, I will suggest you to upgrade your MAC to 10.8 or later.

  • Two months of  Premiere Pro - two major Errors that stopped the whole project

    I have switched from FCP - and I am quite dissappointed.
    Within two months I have experienced two major errors that stopped the whole project. Something like that never happened to me in 15 years of AVID an FCP. -
    1. Err msg. "Project contains sequences that cannot be opened" - No way to open the project at all after two weeks of working on it.
    2. Err msg. "A Low-level exception occurred in: Adobe Player" - No way to play back the sequence at all. Had to be finnished in FCP.
    Apart from that Premiere keeps loosing Render Files and does not recognize my USB-audio-device.
    Can anyone help me (tech support) PLEASE?
    Am I the only one with problems like that?
    - Thinking about switching to MC7.
    CS6
    OS 10.8.2.

    You specify "CS6," but do not indicate whether you have patched to the latest. If you haven't please do so.
    Any time I hear "crash on launch" (or words to that effect), my first thought is that something in the preferences may be tripping up the app. You can clear the prefs by holding Shift+Option while launching the app--keep the keys pressed until PPRO finishes launching. If you've invested time customizing your prefs and want to be able to revert to them in case they weren't the cause of the problem, then you can manually move or rename them; let us know if you need help finding them.
    Other possible culprits, in the order that I recommend proceeding:
    If the crash occurs only when you launch directly into a particular project, then naturally that project is most likely the cause.
    Drivers, especially for graphics card: update them (on Mac, that means updating OSX)
    third party codecs: uninstall them
    third party hardware: first update drivers. If that doesn't help, disconnect or disable the hardware

  • How can I see the whole screen on my original iPad, without having to scroll up or down.  Something changed and I don't know how to get it back.  I don't have a computer to hook it up to.  Thx!

    My front screen seems to zoom in when I start it now.  AND, now I can not see the page fit the screen.  It makes me scroll on the borders to move parts of the screen into view.  Something changed and I don't know what happened or how to get it back to normal.  Please HELP!!!  Thx!

    it is possible that zoom maybe enabled i think double taping with three fingers should disable it.
    or you can go into settings>general> assessability> zoom and turn it off.
    hope this helps

  • Mono to Stereo on Premiere Pro CC 2014 Windows 8.0

    Got cut off several times from India today.  Approaching deadline.  Un-informed on an earlier shoot and recorded in mono.  Read the tutorial.  It appears to have been written for CS6.  Got two tracks of each left and right in source box but still only the right track showed audio.  Dragged it to timeline with an added audio track, got right audio OK but left audio, although it showed volume, did not appear to be in sync with correct right track.  Help!  Don't quite know how this works so my email is [email protected]
    Thank you.

    Thank you.  I found "audio effects" and found "Fill right with left" and "Fill left with right", however there is a parentheses that says, "Works only when recorded in stereo."  That's my problem, as a newbie, I recorded two stories on only one channel.  Now to up load it to the TV news server, I need to have something on both channels and have not figured out how to do that.  I suspect that the well meaning answers I am getting from the "community" come from CS6 users where apparently it was simple to do.  Under the new Adobe system, you must use the "cloud" so I am using Premiere Pro CC 2014 and some of the very simple solutions I'm reading about just don't seem to occur in 2014.

  • Importing Final Cut XML Hangs Premiere Pro CC 2014

    I am posting this more as a question as to how to report hangs or console reports of PP crashes.
    I have a Final Cut Pro project that I wanted to migrate to Premiere Pro using the XML route. When I import the XML from Final Cut, the app hangs with a series of console messages. I think it can't import the DVCPro HD audio and many of the filters used in the Final Cut Project also cause this hang.
    On import, a rectangle dialog box appears with no content in it - just a white box. Then the pinwheel of death.
    Here are some of the console messages:
    11/21/14 10:50:24.289 AM Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014[1051]: Error loading /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/DVCPROHDAudio.plugin/Contents/MacOS/DVCPROHDAudio:  dlopen(/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/DVCPROHDAudio.plugin/Contents/MacOS/DVCPROHDAudio, 262): no suitable image found.  Did find:

    This also generates an Adobe Premiere Pro hang log in the console system diagnostics.

    Sort of a work around I am testing:
    I have a cool script to open FCPro projects in AE. Sort of a free Automatic Duck.  I was going to do this:
    Remove all effects and proprietary tracks in FCPro, as some cause problems with this script. Trial and error here.
    Use the free script FCP2AE to export to AE (it's hard to find now)
    Open the timeline in AE via the script FCP2AE
    Export that from AE as PPProCC 2014 project
    Open in PPCC2014
    That may work, it may also work just to remove all effects and then save the XML and open in PP CC 2014. Again sometimes it does work. The simpler the FCPro project the better.
    Another option
    I was able to open the FCPro audio only OMF in Audition. Then I exported via XML FCPro format from Audition and this opened the audio tracks in PPCC2014. The stereo tracks were broken and placed on two mono tracks so you'll have to address that one.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 crashing

    Hello,
    I'm using MBP with OS X 10.9.4, 16GB of RAM with two hard drives, 480GB Sandisk SSD and the stock 750GB HDD.
    My MBP is Early 2011 (8,2) model with AMD Radeon HD 6750 graphics card along with Intel HD 3000. I'm using external 27" Thunderbolt display with a resolution of 2560x1440. My project is set to use the OpenCL Mercury acceleration.
    The video files I'm editing are Apple ProRes 444 sitting on the HDD drive.
    My Premiere Pro CC 2014 keeps crashing all the time. Today it crashed 3 times, telling me a serious problem occurred and that Premiere must shut down. It managed to save the work. On the fourth crash, the application simply refused to play any clips, I tried to quit it, but it wouldn't, forcing me to force quit the application.
    Another thing I noticed is that once I click on "open project" from the start screen it takes something like 5 sec. before the project appears. It's a small project so it should open immediately, the way it used to open in the past.
    If it's relevant, I have only one installed plugin for Premiere and it's Neat Video Pro.
    I don't know what's going on but Premiere Pro (CC, the one before CC 2014) used to be rock solid on this machine.
    I'd appreciate any help with this issue since obviously something bad is going on.
    All best,
    Goran

    I think I may have found the solution...
    I completely removed the Premiere Pro folder under User > Documents > Adobe and so far it seems to have solved the problem.
    I of course backed up my projects and than deleted this folder. So far it seems it worked.
    I'll know for sure in a day or two, but after constantly crashing, Premiere hasn't crashed for the last 4-5 hours of work.
    Goran

  • Compatibility premiere pro cc 2014 amd opteron 180

    Hello. I would like to purchase adobe premiere pro cc 2014 so i downloaded the trial version. I installed it and it seem to work great with my computer. But before i buy it, i would like to know if someone can confirm that it's compatible with my cpu. For now i don't have any problems in the trial version. My processor is an amd opteron 180 dual core socket 939 overclocked at 2.6ghz under windows 7 sp1 64bit. All other parts of my computer reaches the system requirements besides the cpu is not an amd phenom ii as recommended. So assuming the trial version of premiere pro cc 2014 startups and runs without any problems, can i buy it and install it? Thanks!

  • Update Premiere Pro CC or Premiere Pro CC (2014)

    This morning I go to install updates, but there are now two versions of Premiere Pro CC. I selected the Premiere Pro CC (2014) and it installed a whole new version of Premiere Pro CC on my computer. Can I still work on my projects using the new (2014) version without any issues? Or should I uninstall it and just update the regular Premiere Pro CC version?  Confused!!

    Keep both versions.  It's up to you if you want to experiment with current projects in the new version.  I haven't had any issues yet in my very limited testing.

  • Compatible control surface Premiere Pro CC 2014

    Hi
    I am thinking of getting a control surface for audio mixing in Premiere Pro CC 2014. I note the support of eucon and Mackie. However Adobe's Support just advised me than Avids Artist Mix is not compatible. I found this odd as it is a eucon device but obviously not running the risk now.
    So hence my question: are you using a control surface successfully with PP cc and if so which one?
    Thanks!

    MIDI programing like Ableton Live - that would be GAME CHANGER

  • How to sent text from my C# WinForm program to another program - where the cursore is

    hi
    how to sent text from my C# WinForm program to another program - where the cursore is
    for example: i have in my program label that contain "ABC" , when i press 'Z'
    the ABC will Appears where the cursore is standing.
    how to do it ?
    what to look for ?
    thanks

    Hi E_Gold,
    You'll need to:
    1) Bring the app to the front
    2) SendKeys to the app
    This code will send "ABC" to MS Word:
    using System.Runtime.InteropServices;
    private void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
    // Send the keys 'ABC' to MS Word:
    SendKeysToApp("word", "ABC");
    private void SendKeysToApp(string appName, string keys)
    if (BringAppToFront(appName))
    SendKeys.Send(keys);
    [DllImport("User32.dll")]
    private static extern void SwitchToThisWindow(IntPtr hWnd, bool fAltTab);
    private bool BringAppToFront(string processName)
    IntPtr hWnd = HWnd(processName);
    if (hWnd != new IntPtr(0))
    SwitchToThisWindow(hWnd, true);
    return true;
    else
    return false;
    private IntPtr HWnd(string processName)
    IntPtr hwnd = new IntPtr(0);
    using (Process process = ProcessGet(processName))
    if (process != null)
    try
    IntPtr h = process.MainWindowHandle;
    hwnd = h;
    catch
    if (hwnd != new IntPtr(0))
    return hwnd;
    return hwnd;
    public Process ProcessGet(string processNameToGet)
    if (processNameToGet == "")
    return null;
    Process[] processes = Process.GetProcesses();
    foreach (Process process in processes)
    if (process.ProcessName.IndexOf(processNameToGet, StringComparison.CurrentCultureIgnoreCase) != -1)
    return process;
    return null;
    For info on sending special keys such as "Enter", so this page on MS website:
    SendKeys Class
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks, Andy

    Does it not play at all or cannot you get the audio in the timeline?
    Did you copy the entire card to the hdd and then imported the file via the Media Browser?
    Did you source patch the audio tracks?
