How do I grab an image (Jpeg) of a Network camera?

There was a question 3 years ago, which remained unanswered: How do I
grab an image(JPEG) from the Web(http://) using the datasocket in
LabView?(http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=200&message.id=847)
I have the same problem. I would like to capture the image of an AXIS
2006 wireless Network Cam with Labview, for further processing. A
sample image with such a cam is available at:
http://stareat.it.helsinki.fi/jpg/image.jpg

If you just want a URL, you can use this example, which someone posted a while back.
Try to take over the world!

  • How do you fit still images (jpegs) to match clips in Final Cut Pro 7?

    The images are too small and the clip can be seen on the borders.  I tried making them bigger b/f dragging but that distorted the image.   I shot the video in 16:9 and shot the pictures with my IPhone not using HD.

    Now, are you asking about a procedure in FCP7? Cuz this is the FCPX forum. But, if you are asking how your conform images to fit "LIKE" FCP7, but in FCPX... Here's how. In addition to the transform / crop tools, go to your inspector. In the "Spatial Conform" section there is a drop down for "fit."

  • How do I grab an image of an ActiveX container,urgent!

    Help!
    I am using an activeX container with a webcam viewing activeX component dropped in it. I want to grab the currently displayed image but when I use the "get image" or "get panel" invoke nodes the returned picture leaves the ActiveX container blank with no picture in. I should point out that the image only changes every 30ish seconds so it is probably not a synchronisation problem.
    I desperately need help!!

  • How can I map an image (JPEG) from the SQL database image string

    I saved the image into SQL database, see attachment (SaveImage2SQLDB.rar), while I have some trouble to retrieve the image. I also attached the vi which I used to convert the string to image. The string already has a value I obtained from the database. Can anyone tell me the reason why it didn't work.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Jane,
    What exactly isn't happening correctly?  The conversion or the retrieval?

  • How can I display an image from a shared-network folder?

    Hi
    Does anyone know how I can display images from within APEX that are found outside the database? What configuration have I missed?
    Within Windows-Internet-Explore I can access the following image using the below URLs, BUT I cannot access it from within APEX?
    What do I need to do so APEX can display theses images from our internal shared network folder?
    both these URLs work within Firefox (but on APEX):
    \\Saremote\UPDOWNFILES_DIR\polk_insight.gif
    file://///Saremote/UPDOWNFILES_DIR/polk_insight.GIF
    So within APEX I have created a "display as Text' Item that works with this "amazon image" syntax:
    {lessthan} IMG SRC= {doublequot} http://g-images.amazon.com/images/G/01/associates/navbar2000/logo-no-border(1).gif {doublequot} {greaterthan}
    BUT sadly not with my image:
    {lessthan} IMG SRC= {doublequot} file://///Saremote/UPDOWNFILES_DIR/polk_insight.GIF {doublequot} {greaterthan}
    Any ideas would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Steve

    If you have a local html file, or open an image locally from the menu, then yes, it works, but with web pages that are served from a remote location (web server), security kicks in and prevents the web page from accessing local files (and files on a networked drive).
    you will either have to put the image on the web server and access it through http, or you can load it into the database/workspace images and access it that way.

  • How do I substract an image at the time t with an image at t-1 to detect move in a grab acquisition

    After the VI acquire in a grab acquisition, how do I substract an image at the time t with an image at t-1 to detect the movement in the scene?

    Hello,
    One way of doing that is to do a ring acquisition with two buffers. At anytime one of your buffers will be the most current frame and the other will be one before the most current. Having both buffers available at anytime in your code you can call IMAQ Subtract.
    Hope this helps!

  • How to insert a pdf or jpeg image into a blob column of a table

    How to insert a pdf or jpeg image into a blob column of a table

    Hi,
    Try This
    Loading an image into a BLOB column and displaying it via OAS
    The steps are as follows:
    Step 1.
    Create a table to store the blobs:
    create table blobs
    ( id varchar2(255),
    blob_col blob
    Step 2.
    Create a logical directory in the database to the physical file system:
    create or replace directory MY_FILES as 'c:\images';
    Step 3.
    Create a procedure to load the blobs from the file system using the logical
    directory. The gif "aria.gif" must exist in c:\images.
    create or replace procedure insert_img as
    f_lob bfile;
    b_lob blob;
    begin
    insert into blobs values ( 'MyGif', empty_blob() )
    return blob_col into b_lob;
    f_lob := bfilename( 'MY_FILES', 'aria.gif' );
    dbms_lob.fileopen(f_lob, dbms_lob.file_readonly);
    dbms_lob.loadfromfile( b_lob, f_lob, dbms_lob.getlength(f_lob) );
    dbms_lob.fileclose(f_lob);
    commit;
    end;
    Step 4.
    Create a procedure that is called via Oracle Application Server to display the
    image.
    create or replace procedure get_img as
    vblob blob;
    buffer raw(32000);
    buffer_size integer := 32000;
    offset integer := 1;
    length number;
    begin
    owa_util.mime_header('image/gif');
    select blob_col into vblob from blobs where id = 'MyGif';
    length := dbms_lob.getlength(vblob);
    while offset < length loop
    dbms_lob.read(vblob, buffer_size, offset, buffer);
    htp.prn(utl_raw.cast_to_varchar2(buffer));
    offset := offset + buffer_size;
    end loop;
    exception
    when others then
    htp.p(sqlerrm);
    end;
    Step 5.
    Use the PL/SQL cartridge to call the get_img procedure
    OR
    Create that procedure as a function and invoke it within your PL/SQL code to
    place the images appropriately on your HTML page via the PL/SQL toolkit.
    from a html form
    1. Create an HTML form where the image field will be <input type="file">. You also
    need the file MIME type .
    2. Create a procedure receiving the form parameters. The file field will be a Varchar2
    parameter, because you receive the image path not the image itself.
    3. Insert the image file into table using "Create directory NAME as IMAGE_PATH" and
    then use "Insert into TABLE (consecutive, BLOB_OBJECT, MIME_OBJECT) values (sequence.nextval,
    EMPTY_BLOB(), 'GIF' or 'JPEG') returning BLOB_OBJECT, consecutive into variable_blob,
    variable_consecutive.
    4. Load the file into table using:
    dbms_lob.loadfromfile(variable_blob, variable_file_name, dbms_lob.getlength(variable_file_name));
    dbms_lob.fileclose(variable_file_name);
    commit.

  • How can I load a CMYK jpeg image

    How can I load a CMYK jpeg image (originally saved from Photoshop) and then
    turn it into an rgb BufferedImage, in order to display it on screen in an
    applet?
    I first tried ImageIO.read(), but that does not work for cmyk jpegs. I then
    looked into the com.sun.image.codec.jpeg package, and tried methods like
    decodeAsBufferedImage() and decodeAsRaster().
    The first one (decodeAsBufferedImage) returned an image, but it seems that
    it was interpreted as an ARGB, and the colors were incorrect.
    I then read the documentation which (amongst many other things) stated that
    "If the user needs better control over conversion, the user must request the
    data as a Raster and handle the conversion of the image data themselves."
    This made sense, so I took to decodeAsRaster(), only to find that I could
    not figure out how to carry out the desired conversion.
    Of course, I have looked into the documentation for BufferedImage, Raster,
    ColorModel, ColorSpace etc, but after a while I was lost. (Before I got lost
    I read that you can convert images with the help of methods like toRGB,
    toCIEXYZ.)
    I have a feeling that this is probably pretty simple if you just know how to
    do it, but I sure would need some directions here.
    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    You can either use the "Place" command from the main menu, under "File", or you can just open it, select the move tool "V", the click in the image and drag it to the other file's tab.

  • How can I save an image I have created in Pages as a jpeg?

    How can I save an image I have created in Pages as a jpeg? The image has both a photo and various text boxes. I would like to use it in one of the Photocard websites but they only accept jpeg. Any easy solutions please.

    Hold command shift 4 and draw a box around what you want and then click again, on your desktop a .png file will appear.
    To convert it to jpeg, open it in Preview and Save as.
    if you want all your screenshots to be jpg, download the free Tinkertool and make the change.

    What is the best format to import images into iBA? How should I compress my images before importing? What is the best file format? PNG? Jpeg? I'm trying to figure out the best file format / compression for importing images into iBA. Also, does anyone know how iBA will compress the file? Are the assets attached (like a website) or flattened out? Does anyone know how iBA handles this? Many many thanks to anyone with insight into this.

  • How to set color space to JPEG image with Java advance Imaging

    How to set color space to JPEG image with Java advance Imaging.
    is there any API in JAI which support to set color space.

    I'm definately no guru, but this is how you can change it.
    CTRL + ALT + Click on the part of the component that you want to change. This brings up the Hidden Dom Inspector, background of component will be surrounded with a red outline (Make sure the red outline is surrounding the part of the tabset you want to change), Now you go to properties sheet and click the ellipses next to rules property this will pop up a dialog you look in this list (At the top) to see the default style classes that are affecting the rendering of the component outlined in red. (You will be able to select different sections of a single component) then you just rewrite the style class that you want to change in your Stylesheet (You will not find the styleclass that you want to change because it is a part of your theme .jar but as long as you name it exactly the same and place in your stylesheet it will override the theme .jar style classes) it's actually very easy -- you were right should be a piece of cake for a guru. Don't have the link handy but you can check out Winston's Blog on changing Table Formatting to get this information...It is EXTREMELY useful if you want your apps to have a custom look and not default that comes with Creator Themes.
    Hope this helps you out God knows others have helped me alot!

  • How to save applet in image(gif/jpeg) format

    Hi there !
    how to save applet in image (gif/jpeg) format. i have just gone through JIMI package where serilization is there ,WHERE U CAN SORE in image format ...........can anybudy help me out.........if possible then pleeez provide me some example.
    Thanks in advan...........

    I think that is possible because i have seen some commercial applets that do that.
    -http://www.izhuk.com/painter/
    -http://www.lawrencegoetz.com/programs/signature/
    Thses two saves the image in the server since applets cant write in the host they are running. Maybe it would be possible whit JFS, i don't know.
    For now I am trying to store an image draw in the applet on my server.
    My idea now is copying the image to a buffer or something, open a connection to the server and receive the image with a perl CGI.
    There is an example with text:
    -http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/networking/urls/readingWriting.html
    I want to do something similar but with an image.
