How do I insert multiple pages in Pages

In Pages, how do I insert more than one new page at a time? Using InDesign, for example, I can command the program to add, say, 22 (or however many) new pages to the document. I can't seem to find a way to do that kind of thing in Pages. I'm using version 5.2.2 (1877). I know how to insert single pages, but that can become a pain quickly when working in a long document.
I am working on a Mac Mini, Mavericks 10.9.5

Indesign and Pages work differently.
In Indesign you can assemble a structure and then add content, in Pages it is generally the content that creates the structure.
In a Word Processing Pages document you can't have empty pages, but you can make lots of pages by inserting Page or Section Breaks then copying and pasting those repeatedly, assembling more as you go to copy and paste.
In a Layout document which is the only one that allows essentially structureless pages, or semi-structured pages, copy and paste the thumbnails repeatedly. Progressively copying more till you make up the numbers.
Peter
btw If you are used to Indesign you will find Pages 5.2.2 a shock. No facing pages, no Textbox linking and well over 110 other missing features that were in Pages '09 and made it so efficient and useful.

    First, I copied the HTML snippet for the Page Content on Sharepoint's Design Manger. The code of Page Content HTML snippet is shown below:
    <div data-name="Page Field: Page Content">

    After I published the page layout, I found the code for Page Content from its ASPX page. The code is shown below:
    <div data-name="Page Field: Page Content">
    <PageFieldRichHtmlField:RichHtmlField FieldName="f55c4d88-1f2e-4ad9-aaa8-819af4ee7ee8" runat="server"/></div>
    So, I attempted to create 4 columns by using 4 HTML snippets of Page Content on the same page layout. The page layout is generated from HTML file to ASPX file.
    Then I edited some parts in ASPX page layout:
    <asp:Content runat="server" ContentPlaceHolderID="PlaceHolderMain">

    </div>
    </td>
    <td style="width:25px;">&nbsp;</td>
    <td style="width:200px;">
    <div data-name="Page Field: Page Content">
    <PageFieldRichHtmlField:RichHtmlField FieldName="f55c4d88-1f2e-4ad9-aaa8-819af4ee7ee8" runat="server"/>
    </div>
    </td>
    <td style="width:175px;">&nbsp;</td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </asp:Content>
    The 4 columns for Page Contents appeared on the web page when I created new page using that page layout. But the problem is that all 4 columns displayed the same result from 4th column.

  • How do I insert multiple pages in a specific order?

    I create reports in Word and convert them to Adobe before sending them out to customers. I often need to insert additional (Adobe) pages into the report before sending it out; sometimes I need to insert mulitple (20 or 30) pages. Does anyone know how I can insert these pages in a specific order? A few times in the past, Adobe gave me the option to select the order, but lately that option has not come up. HELP!

    Hello Try67,
    I go to Document>Insert Pages then select the files I need to insert. The order in which the pages are inserted is important because they are results of pressure tests (e.g. Sample 1 thru sample 10). I just ran a trial; I tried to select them from top to bottom and bottom to top and it did not seem to make a difference...they went into the document in reverse order. As I mentioned earlier I used to get a pop-up screen that would ask what order I wanted the inserted pages in...I don't get that pop-up anymore.

  • How can I scan multiple pages to one file with MG 7120

    My printer does not have ADF. How can I scan multiple pages to one file on my MG 7120?

    Hi albabynyr,
    There is a program that comes with the printer called the IJ Scan Utility that can assist you with scanning multiple pages into a single file.  To scan using the IJ Scan Utility, please follow these steps:
    1. Start IJ Scan Utility by going to your Start menu, then selecting All Programs, then Canon Utilities, then  IJ Scan Utility (folder), then IJ Scan Utility (program).
    2. In the Canon IJ Scan Utility window that opens, click SETTINGS.... in the bottom right of the window. The Settings dialog box appears.
    3. Click the DOCUMENT SCAN option on the left pane of the window.
    4. In the right pane of the window, locate the SELECT SOURCE field and select the DOCUMENT option.
    5. Set the color mode, document size, and scanning resolution as required in the rest of the fields shown in the window. Click DOCUMENT SCAN ORIENTATION SETTINGS... to specify the orientation of the documents to be scanned.
    6. In the SAVE SETTINGS section of the window, you will select the save format and location of the document you are about to scan.
    a.) In the FILE NAME field, specify the name you would like to give the file. By default the filename will begin with IMG; you can remove IMG and change it to whatever you would like to name the file.
    b.) In the DATA FORMAT field, use the drop-down arrow to select the PDF (Multiple Pages) option.
    c.) In the SAVE IN field, please navigate to the area where you would like the file to be saved once it is scanned in. By default, the file will be saved in the DOCUMENTS folder.
    7. Once all settings have been selected, click the OK button at the bottom of the SETTINGS (DOCUMENT SCAN) window. The IJ Scan Utility main screen appears.
    8. Click the DOCUMENT button. Scanning starts. After a page has scanned, the screen to continue or end scanning appears. If you have more pages to scan, place the next page on the platen and click Scan.  Do this each time a page has completed scanning.  After the last page has been scanned, click Exit. Scanned images are saved in previously selected folder location specified in the SETTINGS... window. Click the CANCEL button to cancel scanning if needed during scanning.
    Hope this helps!

    Hi @carolpaige
    I would be happy to help you scan multiple pages. What operating system, and version do you have? Mac or Windows?
    You will need to save your files as PDF, and when you choose the PDF format you will see an option to have all scanned pages saved as a single file. Knowing your operating system will help me to provide you with more detailed instructions.

    Hello @MYBOU2 ,
    Welcome to the HP forum.
    What you are asking should not be too hard. The key factor right now is: what is your operating system?
    The process is different on a Mac compared to a Windows computer.
    This link explains how to do what you want with windows 7.

  • Inserting Multiple Page PDF in Word Document

    I've been searching for an answer to what I thing ought to be a rather simple question and I can find nothing. I have a couple of users who have attempted to insert a multiple page PDF into a Word document and found that only the first page of the PDF
    shows up in their document. Is there any method to insert multiple page PDFs into Word as multiple pages without splitting the PDF into individual single page files and inserting individually?
    Thanks...Ray

    A quick and dirty way to do this is to open the pdf document in question with word separately.   You get the following warning message.
    I can then select all and copy/paste in to my word document.
    The few pdfs I tried this with pretty much turned in to all images when I did this, but it worked my purposes.
    I did end up having to resize one that didn't seem to want to fit when I pasted it in.  There may be a method to select an image and automatically fit it within the margins of the page it is on that would help that.
    The file size on my resulting word document seemed to grow quite a bit as well.  Again, not really an issue in my case though.

  • How do I insert a .pages file into an openoffice document

    How do I insert a Pages .pdf file into an openoffice writer document?

    Hi Jim,
    Happy to help! If you've already combined a file using Adobe PDF Pack, you can open that combined file in the free Adobe Reader (or in Acrobat, if you have that). But, it sounds like you don't have either one installed, so that would be the best place to start. You can download the free Reader from www.adobe.com/products/reader.html. Or, if you want to try Acrobat free for 30 days, you can download that from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html. Either one will let you view PDF files.
    Some notes:
    You'll need Acrobat if you want to have some control over where new pages are inserted into an existing file. It lets you decide whether the new pages are inserted before or after a specific page. For example, if you have a 12-page document, you could choose to insert the new pages at the beginning, the end, or anywhere in between. (CombinePDF lets you determine the order in which files are combined, but not with that granularity.)
    Reader doesn't allow you to insert one file into another, so your workflow with Reader would be to use Combine PDF on Acrobat.com. You'd select both the previously combined file and the new file, give the combined file and name, and then click Combine. Then, you could view the combined file in Reader.
    I hope this all makes sense. It's a lot to take in. Please don't  hesitate to let me know if you would like additional help.
    Best,
    Sara
