You need to have another PC or a Mac with DVD drive, and use feature called Remote Disk:

You could purchase any commonly available external USB DVD/CD writer, such as the excellent LG brand units sold on Amazon, for about $30 US.  I've used an LG writer for years to save wear and tear on my older Superdrive.

I have a mba without a disc drive. I installed parallels 7 and windows 7. Now I want to install office 2010 and other windows apps that I have on disc. I tried using remote disc to install from the disc drive on another windows 7 computer. no luck. Can someone refer me to information about how to do these installs?

    Hi,
After setting up your new PC, you can install Offcie 2013 on new PC. Then contact the activation center to transfer to your new PC:

  • How can I install Office 2008 on my new MacBook Pro Retina?

I have a license key and a cd to install from, but no slot in my MacBook to insert the CD into. I heard I can download Office 2008 from the Microsoft website, can anyone supply me with a link to the download? Not the30-day trial, the full version. Can anyone tell me if Office 2008 will work on the Retina display because I've read reviews about how it didn't in the past and should now (thanks to updates).

Office 2008 will work with Mountain Lion, but it isn't retina compatible and would probably be too much strain on the eyes to work with. Purchase Office 2011 or Pages. LibreOffice is free and may be retina compatible, but I personally have never used it.
If you are willing to install 2008 and give it a try then just download the trial and then you can upgrade the trial to the full version using the license key you have.

  • How do I install office 2013 on my iMac via windows 8.1 parallels 9?

I recently bought a copy of Windows 8.1, Microsoft Office 2013 and Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac.
I wanted to install a Windows partition on my Mac so that I could run MS Office 2013 on a virtual machine.
I set up the VM, and everything was looking fine and worked smoothly.
Then, when I inserted the MS Office 2013 disk into the CD drive, an error message showed up saying that Windows cannot find C;/Program files/Microsoft Office 15/ClientX86/integratedoffice.exe'.  Make sure you've typed the name correctly, then try again.
I tried to install MS Office 2013 many times but didn't work.
Does anyone know how to overcome this issue?
    Thanks.

Disable the autorun with a right click on the CD icon on the drive. and run the installer manually from the disc.

  • How to silently install office add-ins and bypass the microsoft office customization installer popup

    Hello all,
I want to install an office add-in for all the computers in my company silently. But when I use the commands "%~dp0\test.exe" /S. I receive the following popup.
Is there a way to bypass this to install the add-in silently?
Thank you very much for the help.

probably, this file was downloaded via Internet Explorer, from the IE "Internet" zone?
If so, the Alternate Data Stream, on the file, will have the Zone.Identifier populated.
If you right-click the file in Windows Explorer, do you get the "Unblock" button offered?
If so, click Unblock, and then try your script again.

  • How to best install Office 2011 when you have an older version of Office already installed

Just purchased Office for Mac 2011. I have an older version of Office installed. I have asked several "informed" people the question and have several informed answers. One says to uninstall office 2004. Another says just put Office 2004 in the trash first. Microsoft says to keep the older version on your computer and just do a new install of Office 2011. What is the best answer? Will there be font issues? Need help. Thanks.

Nobody mentioned step #1 which is to make a bootable clone back up of your whole computer before installing anything new, then you don't have to worry if something goes wrong.
I would put, "Just put Office 2004 in the trash first," on the bottom of the list.  Things like Office store bits and pieces all over the place and dragging some of it to the trash will just break your 2004 Office.
Despite the general take on Microsoft by Apple users I'd just install on top if that's what they say to do.

  • How do I install Office:mac on my MacBook Air?

I have a familly pack license and installed one license on our iMac.

SP beat me to it...downloading the application is the easiest path to take...just be sure that you download the correct version (2008 Vs 2011) to match your key.
In the future you have a few of choices when it comes to using discs with your MacBook Air.  If you think you'll need to use discs often you can purchase an external drive from Apple:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD564ZM/A
Note that the Apple USB Superdrive is proprietary and the only one that will work with the MacBook Air.  In other words, you can't just buy any external CD/DVD drive.
The other, less expensive option is to "share" your iMac's Superdrive with your MacBook Air.  Here are the instructions for doing that:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5287
    http://www.mac-guides-and-solutions.com/dvd-sharing.html
Note that drive sharing generally won't work for installation discs though.
    Enjoy!

  • How to Install Office for Mac ?

I am so new to Mac I don't even know what I'm doing wrong. I bought a new MBA yesterday, AirPort Extreme and a MS Office for Mac on a DVD I guess. I set up the wireless base station from my Dell Windows 98 work station. I can get the internet on the MBA and can also see shareable files on my windows machine. I copied the DVD files and made them shareable. Then I copied them to the MBA. I tried copying it to the desktop, then applications, but could not get it to install. I read that it has an installer so you should just double-click on the box icon but nothing happens, it tells me it can't open the file.
Am I just doing this all kinds of wrong? How can I install Office for Mac on my Air?
BTW I don't have an external optical drive attachment for the MBA.
    Thank you so much.

This guide will help you set up DVD sharing on your Windows PC:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1777
Once that's done, pop in the Office installer DVD.
On your MacBook Air, open Finder, then choose Remote Disc from the Finder Sidebar.
Double-click the icon for your PC, and the Office for Mac installer will appear.

  • HT5287 how do I install microsoft office on my iMac without a disk drive?

How do I install office:mac home &student on my imac without a disk drive?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
If you have Microsoft Office for Mac on a DVD, you have two options:
    1. Buy an external optical drive, connect it to the iMac and use it to install Office.
    2. If you have another Mac or PC, use Remote Disc > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5287?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Both options are valid, but the option to install it from an external optical drive is much better. It's faster than installing it with Remote Disc

  • How to Install Office 2003 on Netbook

How do you install Office 2003 on a Netbook with no cd drive???  Suppose we could buy & download 2007 but I already own 2003.  Any suggestions???
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Microsoft as actually mentioned the use of using Daemon Tools once.
What I do to load software on my Netbook is start out on my desktop by using a piece of software called ISOBuster. I create a virtual image of the disc and then save it to the flash drive.
I then start up my Netbook and install Daemon Tools onto the laptop. Mount the ISO onto the virtual drive, and you will be set to use your software in no time.

  • How to install Office 2010 in ZCM11

    Hello NG
I would like to know how i can install Office 2010 with ZCM11. In Office2010
no MSI files are available for the installation. The procedure must be
running with exe and xml config files.
Does somebody give me a tip?
thanks in advance for your help
    Ramon

    Ramon,
I can't answer for ZCM11, but I can only assume that the process has not changed significantly from ZCM 10.3.x.
You've got several options at your disposal.
The way we do things in our environment is to use a copy files action (or a file copy utility that shows a progress bar, since a copy files action has no progress indicator) to copy the files locally to the workstation to a staging area, where they are then launched as a dynamic administrator/system account.
I'd say use an install files or install directory action, but my experience in the past has been that install directory ends up losing track of the directory structure, so it only works well for a single directory with no subdirectories.
Plus, every time you throw a new update MSP file into the "updates" folder within the network deployment folder for Office 2010, you'd need to re-upload to the repository whereas when you copy from a network share you can simply throw a new update into the folder and be done with it.
