How do I locate Text Editor?

How do I locate Text Editor?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities
The app is called TextEdit and it is stored in /Applications. To access to that folder, open a Finder window and choose Applications in the sidebar.
Two quicker ways are to use Launchpad (if you are using OS X Lion or later) or Spotlight (press Command and Space keys, and type TextEdit)

  • How to extend Rich Text Editor in Portal 10.1.4

    Is there a note that explains how to extend the InsertImage feature of the rich text editor in portal 10.1.4.
    It was very straightforward in 10.1.2, but the RTE has changed with 10.1.4 and I didn't find an updated version of the following technical note: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/portal/pdf/cm_rte_10gr2_features.pdf
    Than'ks

    Hi Raphael,
    In fact my goal is to extend WebWord Editor and not replacing it. For example I want to add a new Image Picker in WebWord, what I had done in 10.1.2, allowing a user to select an image file from a Portal Page. It was as simple as replacing an url reference in BuildUIEmbed.html (by default pointing to a static image picker page).
    It seems not so simple in WebWord, as the URL of the image picker in BuildUIEmbed.html is replaced by a "RAW HTML static source" in the javascript "popup.js" (see InsertImage() function)
    I'd like to replace this raw HTML by an url pointing to a dynamic page browsing my images. I allready have done this dynamic page but I'm not a javascript expert. If you have any ideas ...
    Than'ks anyway.

  • How to call a text editor from a module pool program

    Hi All,
    I want to call the text editor from my modulepool program. Enter my text in it and save it.This text needs to be saved in a Z-program with 2 fields as primary keys. The next time while I call this same record from this z table, I need to fetch the existing text and display it.
    The user now can put in additional text and can again save it. This process thus goes on..
    If anyone has worked in this type of scenario, then please help me in doing this.
    Useful answers will surely be rewarded.
    Thanks,
    Susanth.

    Hi Sushanth,
    We save the text not as fields in a ztable directly but as a text.Please check the format below since it is based on a working code....
    first you need to create a text in s010 transaction...
    there should be some key based on which you plan to save the text..imagine it is Purchase order then..PO+item numner is always unique.eg:0090010(900PO/item10).so in the code you can append these two and they will be unique..so you can always retrieve them,overwrite,save them anytime you need

  • How to create a text editor, the one like header text in PO

    Dear Ones,
    My requirement is that I want to create a text editor for storing terms and condition plant wise.
    The editor should be the one like header text in PO. It can take end number of lines.
    I created the text object ('TERMS') in table ttxob and text for it in table ttxot.
    Also created text id ('L000' and 'L001') in table ttxid and text for it in table ttxit.
    Now using FM read_text, save_text and edit_text, I have written a program but it does not save the data.
    When I run the program initially it displays me blank, then I enter some data into it. Again when I come back it displays the data and also saves the edition. But if I close my session the data is gone.
    It means it is not actually saving the data in database. My code is as below:

  • How to use long text editor in Webdynpro

    hi ,
    I want to use text editor in webdynpro.  I want to save the data in  long text.
    My requirement is the format of data should remain same(It should not get changed).
    Thanks
    SK

    Hi,
    use text editor uielement and bind it with a attribute of type string.  convert this string into a table using function module
    fill another internal table which is type compatible with table of SAVE_TEXT function module.
    CONVERT_STRING_TO_TABLE. Call the function module SAVE_TEXT to save this text.
    you need to find proper tdobject and tdid value which is to be passed in importing parameter "header".
    similarly use FM "READ_TEXT" and convert the returned data into string using FM CONVERT_TABLE_TO_STRING.
    Bind the returned table to an attribute of your context. The data will be displayed in the same format in which you entered it.
    Thanks

  • Any description on how to use the Text Editor used for this Forum?

    I am very frustrated when trying to use the text Editing functions (without use of HTML, that I do not undertstand) that can be used to create Posts in this Forum .
    Can somebody point me to a good description of the Text Editor used to enter/edit Posts in this Forum? Thanks a lot in advance.

    Ian,
    Thank You very much for your answer.
    Based on your answer, I guess and fear, that there exist no "user guide" for this Text Editor.
    I will wait a little bit more to see whether I get more information/answers. If not, i will probably write a "Feature Request" to request that Adobe provides us or point us to a reasonable User-Guide for this Text Editor.

    I love text editor and use it all the time, but I need it to stay on top of everything else while I'm taking notes. Is there any way to make that happen?
    Thanks

    You can't do it in Pages. You will need something like Art Text.

    xdg-open, or a related tool, can give you the desktop's text editor.
    Truth. VISUAL is typically used for the graphical text editor.
    So, to use VISUAL if it exists, but otherwise default to medit, do:
    editor="${VISUAL:-medit}"
    $editor foo.txt

    However I assume you are using sqlplus
    If this is the case define the _EDITOR variable to one of the following as appropriate ....
    DEFINE _EDITOR=notepad
    DEFINE _EDITOR=vi

  • How to hide a text in RTF Editor

    Hi,
    I'm trying to create a RTF editor using JTextPane, RTFEditorKit and DefaulStyledEditor.
    Does somebody know how to hide a text in a RTFEditorKit ?
    Thanks in advance
    Maurice

    What about
    setVisible(false);
    Haven't tried it, no clue wether is works. If u need to select a certain portion of the text this might help:
    int posStart = editorPane.getSelectionStart( );
    int posEnd = editorPane.getSelectionEnd( );
    int selLength = posEnd - posStart;
