How do I not get rmi.UnmarshalException: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:?
Hello,
I'm not able to run the RMI example code provided by the sun tutorial. When I attempt running ComputeEngine in Eclipse I get:
ComputeEngine exception:
java.rmi.ServerException: RemoteException occurred in server thread; nested exception is:
java.rmi.UnmarshalException: error unmarshalling arguments; nested exception is:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: compute.Compute
The code may be found on http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/rmi/running.html
I've only removed the code concerned with security. I run the registry in the terminal, before trying to execute. I recall it had worked with me yesterday, but today presenting it not.
The RMI Registry can't find the class(es) in question on its CLASSPATH. So what to do?Err, make sure the RMI Registry can find the class(es) in question on its CLASSPATH?
For example, specify -J-classpath when starting the RMI Registry. Or start it in the root directory of your .class package structure. Or start it withing the server JVM via LocateRegistry.createRegistry(). Or use the codebase feature.

Java.lang.ClassNotFoundException on Mac only
Hello,
I have a graphing applet that has been working quite well for a couple of years. It was build using Corda's (http://www.corda.com/) PopChart Builder v3.0 and compiled with JRE 1.2.
In the past several months we have been having an increasing number of Mac users saying they are getting the message "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: PopChart.class". So far, Corda's support has been non-existant.
I'm just wondering if recompiling with JRE 1.4.1 might fix some of the problems. I suspect, but have no proof, that the Mac users are using OS X. Still trying to investigate this.
If anyone has any experience with similar problems, I'd love to hear from you.
Many thanks in advance,
John Heuer

MIDlet problem : java.lang.ClassNotFoundException
Hi, I'd like to write a simple java midlet so I'm looking at the examples on page http://developers.sun.com/techtopics/mobility/midp/articles/midpwap/ .
I have Java SDK 1.4.2.10 and J2ME Wireless Toolkit 1.0.4_02 installed on a Win2K pro PC.
Each time I run an example it compiles, then I get the message java.lang.ClassNotFoundException on the phone screen.
How can I get these examples to work?
THANKSyou must define midled class in .jad file or manifest file

Guys,
I have an applet that simply plays a media file. Quite simple! It has been working fine for ages, but I recently upgraded to IE6, and BLAM! I now get this exception: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: javax.media.pm.PackageManager
Of course, I have checked my classpath, and my path settings. I know that the classpath is fine, I can run JAVA JMStudio and it launches fine. The application runs OK as standalone. I can even debug the applet using JBuilder, and it works. As soon as I run it from IE6 - Nope.. Not working!
I wonder if anyone else has seen this? If I set the option to use the Sun JVM, the diagnostincs applet shows this:
JMF Diagnostics:
Java 1.1 compliant browser.....Maybe
JMF classes.....Not Found
but, if I set the option off, I get:
JMF Version... 2.1.1a
Win32 Build
Native Libraries Found
What is causing this difference? Is this even relevant? I have seen several other posts talking about a ClassNotFoundException but this is specific to IE6 (I think at least.) I will try and regress to 5.5 and keep you posted!
SteveOK, Here is the deal..
Uninstall the JRE Plugin. (Delete the directory too)
Uninstall the JMF (Again, delete the dirs)
Remove any references to the JMF on the CLASSPATH
Reboot
Re-install the JRE Plug-in
Re-install the JMF.. Note: Make sure all options are checked when installing.
Reboot as requested .
Browse to: http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/jmf/2.1.1/jmfdiagnostics.html to test the installation.
Funilly, it all works now. The reason it did not work was due to the classpath being WRONG!!!
It now reads: C:\PROGRA~1\JMF21~1.1\lib\sound.jar;C:\PROGRA~1\JMF21~1.1\lib\jmf.jar;
BUT, I installed the JMF at: C:\Program Files\JMF2.1.1
Call me insane, but I do not have a clue why the paths do not match, but is solved my problem.
I am certain this clears several of the posts found on this Forum!!
Hope this helps you all..

Could not get schema Object:java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException ora-904
All of a sudden I get
Could not get schema Object:java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00904: "SYS"."O"."NAME": ongeldige ID
when doing anything in the tables tree in the connections pane
The only thing I set recently is pga_aggregate_target
Environment
Oracle 11.2.0.1
OS Windows Vista Ultimate sp2
Sql developer 2.1.1.64.39 with its own JDK
As the download links on OTN are broken I can not upgrade, and I'd rather not work in command line sqlplus.
Help!!!

Senior Oracle DBAMy copy of sqldeveloper isn't located in that directory. Would that matter?
In the mean time I have disabled filtering the tables node. Opening the tables node doesn't result in exceptions anymore.
Now, when I click on any table in that node I get 4 identical ora-904 error messages for sys.o.name for any table.
Apparently it is querying either the all_objects view and it thinks it is querying sys.obj$.
I didn't yet enable sql_trace for the session, I'm more or less giving up on sqldeveloper. I can not use the space bar in any datagrid, sqldeveloper has always been extreemly unresponsive when navigating the schema browser (as opposed to Toad), etc, etc. Too bad I bought Sue Harpers book, but I think I will be de-installing sqldeveloper soon.

Hi all,
I tried to update oracle_logo.gif in forms jar which is in f90all_jinit jar. I placed my icon in forms\oracle\forms\icons and renamed it as oracle_logo.gif while removing the existing one. Then I did jar the forms and placed that in f90all_jinit and again did jar f90all_jinit. Then, I placed this in ORACLE-HOME/forms90/java. When I tried to run the form...the form could not open and the java console shows this..
Loading http://<MACHINE_NAME>:8888/forms90/java/f90all_jinit.jar from JAR cache
load: class oracle.forms.engine.Main not found.java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: java.io.IOException: open HTTP connection failed. at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.getBytes(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.access$100(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin.security.PluginClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.loadCode(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletPanel.createApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin.AppletViewer.createApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletPanel.runLoader(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletPanel.run(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
Can anyone guide me on how to get rid of this error ? Strange thing is that I've removed that f90all_jinit.jar and placed back the existing one (I took backup). But still it's showing the same error and not opening the form. I could and can not do anything without this error corrected.
Please suggest me as soon as possible...
thank you

I was also facing the same problem. to solve this, i have uninstalled Oracle Jinitiator. Cleared all the temporary internet files & cookies. Then while running the form, when it asks to install JInitiator, i have specified a different path for jinitiator, For Example, By default it asks for C:\programfiles, i have changed it to c:\manish directory.
This has solved my problem. Probably this also help you.

While opening SXMB_IFR i am getting a error Java.lang.noclassFounderror
U have installed SAP XI in my laptop while opening
SXMB_IFR i am getting a error Java.lang.noclassFounderror
so i not able to go further please help me
thanking you
sridharHi,
There are number of ways to do that :
1. Try this url
http://<host-name or IP address of XI server>:<java Port number)>/rep/start/index.jsp
If this is successful that means your J2EE server and services are fucntioning fine. The problem could then be on the ABAP stack.
2. Can you start visual admin tool and check that all the services are running. You might have to manually start those which have not automatically started. Check the connectivity with all system & server (inc n/w) & Register the hostserver entry in your sys32/ host file
e.g 10.2.4.56 <server name>
3. Have you download java sdk 1.4 on you laptop?
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html
also have a look at this sap note: 801868
(make sure not to install the 1.5 version of JWS. XI does not work properly with the 1.5 version)
4. Lastly, u might have some problem with ur JRE installation. In that case i would sugesst you to re-install JRE/ Java WebStart.
This blog may help you to analyze the errors-

My web page uses a Java Applet to allow my visitors to replay chess games; the Chess Viewer Deluxe applet was written by Nikolai Pilafov some time ago and has been working properly for some time (until recently). I don't monitor this part of my site regularly so I am not sure when it began to fail. On his web site [http://chesstuff.blogspot.com/2008/11/chess-viewer-deluxe.html] he has a link to check LiveConnect object functionality (which fails for OBJECT tags). His recommendation is to "seek platform specific support which might be available from the JRE developers for your platform".
I have been getting java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: ZeroApplet.class and java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: JavaToJS.class crashes with JRE version 1.6.0_26-b03-384-10M3425 VM executing a Java Applet. Until I checked the LiveConnect object functionality, I was unable to identify the source of the console error messages. This does seem to be the smoking gun.
Is Apple aware of this problem? Are these classes no longer supported? Has anyone else had this problem? You can attempt to recreate the problem locally by going to my web page: http://donsmallidge.com/DonSmallidgeChess.html
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Hi Members,
I am getting the oracle.forms.engine.Main not found.java.lang.ClassNotFoundException error when trying to access Oracle forms using APEX 2.2.1 and SSO.
load:class.oracle.forms.engine.Main not found
The forms have been compiled, forms path setup properly and the setup required to run forms seems to be right. Jinitiator has also been installed.
I have searched the forums and tried everything. I have checked jinitiator settings, cleared cache and even reinstalled it. Do you have any experience with this error? Appreciate any answers. Thanks.

UI Error 'Method clone not found in class java.lang.Class'
When attempting to view an application window in the User Interface error I receive the error 'Method clone not found in class java.lang.Class'. The window will run correctly when I execute the application and other objects on the window are displayed correctly in the UI editor.
Within the window class I have used the following line of code to clone a reference list of values that is loaded just once when the application starts up: -
dsDefaultComboBoxModel priorityComboBoxModel = (dsDefaultComboBoxModel) dsReferenceLuLists.priorityComboBoxModel.clone();
And then this line of code to create a combo box: -
dsGuiComboBoxRefelu priorityComboBox = new dsGuiComboBoxRefelu(priorityComboBoxModel,ReportWindowSql.priorityCodeBuffer);
And then later on the combo box is displayed.
detailsArea.add(priorityComboBox, new XYConstraints(250,10,dsGlobalVariables.gvFieldWidthLarge,-1));
'dsDefaultComboBoxModel' is defined as follows: -
public class dsDefaultComboBoxModel extends DefaultComboBoxModel implements Cloneable
public dsDefaultComboBoxModel()
public Object clone()
try
return super.clone();
catch ( CloneNotSupportedException e )
// Shouldn't happen.
throw new InternalError( e.toString() );
This error occurs using the latest v903, but was also present in previous versions of JDeveloper.
At the moment this means that I did to execute the window in order to see all of the GUI elements that are displayed. As on option I could use something other than the clone method, but it seems to be such a nice way of copying the static reference lists.
Thanks for any help.Hi Darren,
My guess is that since DefaultComboBoxModel doesn't implement Cloneable, you can't call super.clone(). Does your code compile?
Later.

It seems that you are using a custom security provider and the weblogic server is not able to find the class / jar file that contains the class.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Failed to load class com.msl.security.providers.SessionPrincipal]
Make sure you have all the required jar files in the server classpath.
You can use the JarScan utility to find the jar that contains the class.
Refer the below link regarding the jarScan.
