Java.lang.ClassNotFoundException on Mac only

Hello,
I have a graphing applet that has been working quite well for a couple of years. It was build using Corda's (http://www.corda.com/) PopChart Builder v3.0 and compiled with JRE 1.2.
In the past several months we have been having an increasing number of Mac users saying they are getting the message "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: PopChart.class". So far, Corda's support has been non-existant.
I'm just wondering if recompiling with JRE 1.4.1 might fix some of the problems. I suspect, but have no proof, that the Mac users are using OS X. Still trying to investigate this.
If anyone has any experience with similar problems, I'd love to hear from you.
Many thanks in advance,
John Heuer
XENERGY Inc.

How about giving us the URL of the page with the applet?

    in my forms/java i have placed my jar files listed in the frmall.jar

  • "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException" when creating a CFC instance inside a webservice

    This question is also up on stack overflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10089962/coldfusion-web-service-failing-to-see-componen t
    I've got a CFC that I'm going to access with ?wsdl as a SOAP webservice.
    If I call the CFC directly in a browser, my results render fine:
        http://server/webservice/calc.cfc?method=doStuff&foo=bar
    If I try to access it as a web service:
        ws = CreateObject("webservice", 'http://server/webservice/calc.cfc?wsdl');
        result = ws.doStuff('bar');
    I get an error:
    Cannot perform web service invocation doStuff.
    The fault returned when invoking the web service operation is:

        // do a calculation
        var objCalc = new com.calculations.calc(foo);
        objReturn.calc = objCalc;
      return objReturn;
    So my CFC that I'm using as a webservice has got another CFC being declared inside a function. Browsing directly to my webservice CFC works fine, but trying to call it using the CreateObject/webservice route fails, as it can't create an instance of the **com.calculations.calc** component.
    It doesn't error, wierdly, if I comment out the objReturn.calc = objCalc line. So it seems I can create the instance, but the error isn't thrown till I assign it to my return struct.
    Also I've found, If I refresh the page a few times, sometimes the error changes to:

    Dear All Technology Expert's,
    I have a query related to Coldfusion SOAP services, that is most commonly asked in all the forum's but NONE of them has got answer.
    If there is NO solution so I think Adobe has to come up with some patches so developer can able to do some customization.
    I like to share with you all, in all other language ( PHP, JAVA, .NET etc) this option is available and you can customize the error.
    Ok let me again explain the very basic error:
    SOAP Request:
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
       <soapenv:Header/>
       <soapenv:Body>
       </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    SOAP Response:
      <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
       <soapenv:Body>
          <soapenv:Fault>
             <faultcode>soapenv:Server.userException</faultcode>
             <faultstring>java.lang.Exception: Body not found.</faultstring>
             <detail>
                <ns1:stackTrace xmlns:ns1="http://xml.apache.org/axis/">java.lang.Exception: Body not found.
      at org.apache.axis.providers.java.RPCProvider.processMessage(RPCProvider.java:121)...</ns1:s tackTrace>
                <ns2:hostname xmlns:ns2="http://xml.apache.org/axis/">Coldfusion Error</ns2:hostname>
             </detail>
          </soapenv:Fault>
       </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    HOW we can customize the error, in all other languages you can simple customize the error like
    Other languages SOAP response:
      <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
       <soapenv:Body>
          <soapenv:Fault>
             <faultcode>BODY_NOT_FOUND</faultcode>
             <faultstring>Body is missing in your request</faultstring>
          </soapenv:Fault>
       </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    But the same is NOT possible in Coldfusion, right?
    AS you know it is vulnerability to display exception messages in the response.
    We are developing this web service to access  from other language website (PHP, .NET).
    We are also planning to upgrade server the Coldfusion 11, but do you think there is any solution with latest Coldfusion version.
    Please response only if you know about these issue's or solution.
    Thanks
    Niyaz

  • Error deploying task form - java.lang.ClassNotFoundException

    Hello,
    I' am trying to deploy a task form to my soa server (JDeveloper 11.1.1, WebLogic Server 10.3.1, SOA Suite 11.1.1) and get the following error message:
    [05:05:26 PM] [Deployer:149034]An exception occurred for task [Deployer:149026]deploy application MyTask on soa_server1.: Failed to load webapp: 'MyTask.war'.

    I've already tried to set the classpath for "bpm-services.jar" in "setDomainEnv.cmd", but afterwards I couldn't deploy the whole soa-infra.
    Does anybody have an idea?
    Thank's a lot.

    Hi,
    The two projects are part of same application right.
    In your application navigator, you will be seeing those two projects. But there will be a drop down in the application navigator to select/open different applications.
    You have right click on that application name. You will get a deploy option. Deploy it now. The thing is, task form app is a EAR application. You will get EAR option only from Application level not from Project level.
    Application 1
    +
    +
    ----> CompositeProject
    -----> TaskformProject
    You should deploy the Application to deploy the task form. To deploy the composite, deploy the composite. No need to deploy the Taskform project seperately.

  • Java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Animate

    Hi,
    I noticed that other developers are facing same issue, but here what happens with my applets .
    Just for info: I'm new to Java development....
    I'm using JDK 1.4.2_05 under WinMe for development purposes and using Dreamweaver 2.0 (little bit old) but don't think it matters.
    I published my web pages on my ISP's web server. Some of those pages contain "simple" applets.
    1. When I access my web site from the computer where the JDK is installed, the display is correct and I can see the applets working fine.
    Then I go: Tools> Internet options > (Tab) Advanced
    I uncheck the option: Use Java 2 1.4.2_05 for applets.
    My applets in the web pages will stop display when accessing thru the web.
    2. When I access thru another computer (I tried accessing from 2 different ones) which run under XP, I have the following error in the Javaconsole.
    Microsoft (R) VM for Java, 5.0 Release 5.0.0.3810

    Under "XP" I tried to change the security "Internet" and "Intranet" Java related settings in IE, but didn't make any difference.
    Does anyone has a hint or a solution??
    Tx in advance.

    I don't believe it to be a matter of OS or Browser. The JVM can not find the .class file it needs in order to run. Check to make sure all the .class files are in the working directory (or jar).
    Class not found exception occurs when the JVM is attempting to load a class but can not find the .class file. This occurs when the file is not in the classpath. The classpath is the working directory by default (the directory in which the init() for applets and main() for applications is located. Move you Animate.class file into the working directory and try.
    If this doesn't work I guess I don't fully understand the problem. Post more information.

  • EJB Module deployed but encounters java.lang.ClassNotFoundException

    Hi. I have successfully deployed my ejb in Weblogic 8.1 but I get still get the java.lang.ClassNotFoundException when I invoke the bean. The application will work only if i include the jar in the classpath in the startweblogic.cmd. However, this option displays the warning
    <i><Warning> <EJB> <BEA-010001> <While deploying
    EJB 'XXXBean', class XXXBeanHome was loaded from the system classpath. As a result, this class cannot be re
    loaded while the server is running. To prevent this behavior in the future, make
    sure the class is not located in the server classpath.>
    .</i>
    Is there something I forgot to configure in weblogic so I dont need to include the jar in the classpath? So I can also reload the jar while the server is running.
    Any help is highly appreciated

    I'll need more information to help you debug the ClassNotFoundException.
    Can you show me the error message? And where is the class that it cannot find located?

  • Java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.adf.view.faces.webapp.UIXComponent

    Hi all,
    My JDEV 11g suddenly can't be started and it throws this error message:
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.adf.view.faces.webapp.UIXComponentTag
    searched on internet, got no luck so far. It looks like that I missed a jar file somewhere that contains this class. But weird thing is that the IDE worked fine previously and I didn't do any change. Can someone tell me which jar file I might miss?
    Btw, I used the integrated WLS locally.
    Thanks in advance!
    Edited by: shawn_abc on Jan 30, 2012 2:48 PM

    'Trinidad Runtime 11' is included in the IDE, I couldn't find a "public_html" folder in Model project, but I see this folder under this path: \ViewController\model\public_html, also I see this folder: \ViewController\model\WEB-INF. I tried to rename the "public_html" to "public_html-bak" there and restart the server, then tried to launch the app in JDEV IDE, still I got this error: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.adf.view.faces.webapp.UIXComponentTag.
    I check the library and classpath in IDE and it shows this jar file is used: C:\Oracle\JDev11114gU3\oracle_common\modules\oracle.adf.view_11.1.1\trinidad-api.jar
    then I opened this jar file and could only find the UIXComponentTag class as this path within the jar file: org\apache\myfaces\trinidad\webapp\UIXComponentTag.class. So I am wondering how could the application ask for this package: oracle.adf.view.faces.webapp.UIXComponentTag at all? I did a search in the application for "oracle.adf.view.faces.webapp", no returned at all.
    Thanks,
    Shawn

  • Failed to load servlet: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException

    I've been working on a project with other developers and we've all have our own sections of a large web application that we are working on. When we are each done working on our part we send our JSPs, Beans, and servlets to the lead developer that then deploys one EAR file on our Test/QA server. I now asked the tech lead if he could send me the EAR file so I can load the application in its entirety on my local machine. When I start up the server, I get the error "Failed to load servlet: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException" for each one of my servlets. Even if the servlet path is correct I still get that error. I also tried removing the servlet in the web.xml file and then adding it again, but I still get that error. Has anyone experienced anything like this before? Is this error appearing because I have two projects (my part of the application with only my code and the complete project from the EAR file) that point to the same servlets? I'm not sure how to resolve this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    That's what I thought too. But I'm installing an EAR file exported directly from another persons computer and the application is working fine on his machine. So the EAR file will automatically place the servlets in their proper path and directory structure when I import it. In any case I checked the paths myself and they are correct (the servlet file does exist in the same path). I also removed the servlet from the web.xml file and added it again through the websphere UI so if there was any miss-type in the directory path it would have been corrected by websphere. I also tried making a minor change to the servlet file and resaving it thinking that it might correct something or do something that would allow my websphere environment to see/recognize the existance of the servlet, but that did not work. I'm out of ideas. Does anyone have any suggestions? Here is a part of my log file if it helps: Thanks!

  • Failed to invoke startup class "ClusteredMQJMSStartup", java.lang.ClassNotFoundException

              Windows 2000
              BEA WLS 8.1 SP1
              Created a config based on the template for a WLS with Workshop - "cgServer".
              Changed <configdir>/startWeblogic.cmd to include the extra classes I need to execute
              my startup class.
              Added 2 new servers via the Admin console (http://localhost:7001/) entitled "cgServer2"
              and "cgServer3"
              Added a cluster and added cgServer2 and cgServer3 to the cluster.
              Targetted startup class to the cluster.
              Stop everything.
              Start cgServer via the startWeblogic.cmd script - OK.
              Start cgServer2 via the startManagedWeblogic.cmd script - OK.
              Start cgServer3 via the startManagedWeblogic.cmd script - OK.
              BUT
              if I try and start the managed servers via the admin console, each server reports
              that it cannot find the startup class:
              <11-Feb-2004 11:00:34 o'clock CET> <Critical> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000286> <Failed

              demo.MQJMSStartup
              Failed to invoke startup class "ClusteredMQJMSStartup", java.lang.ClassNotFoundException.
              What have I missed in the configuration of the Node Manager (I assume it is that)?
              I want cgServer to be the admin server and cgServers 2 and 3 to be my application
              servers, and I will not have everything on the same machine, so I need to use
              the Admin console to manage the cluster and ind its managed-servers.
              FYI - the same code with the same configuration for a single server (no cluster)
              works fine.
              Thanks in advance ... KSS

    Check your Startup class code...Are u trying to read any "*.properties" file ?
    It is possible that that particular properties file is present only in ManagedServer1 Box and Not in the ManagedServer2 & 3 boxes.

    So I guess that one of the two, either I am missing one of the jars in my classpath (in this case I don't know which one?) because weblogic.jar does not have this class in it.
    or ?
    please help if you can you are the only help o-bey 1 !

  • How do I not get rmi.UnmarshalException: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:?

    Hello,
    I'm not able to run the RMI example code provided by the sun tutorial. When I attempt running ComputeEngine in Eclipse I get:
    ComputeEngine exception:
    java.rmi.ServerException: RemoteException occurred in server thread; nested exception is:
         java.rmi.UnmarshalException: error unmarshalling arguments; nested exception is:
         java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: compute.Compute
    The code may be found on http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/rmi/running.html
    I've only removed the code concerned with security. I run the registry in the terminal, before trying to execute. I recall it had worked with me yesterday, but today presenting it not.

    The RMI Registry can't find the class(es) in question on its CLASSPATH. So what to do?Err, make sure the RMI Registry can find the class(es) in question on its CLASSPATH?
    For example, specify -J-classpath when starting the RMI Registry. Or start it in the root directory of your .class package structure. Or start it withing the server JVM via LocateRegistry.createRegistry(). Or use the codebase feature.

  • Java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: java.io.IOException

    I'm trying to install webutil in Developer Suite 10g(9.0.4.0.1) for windows(Windows XP)
    I followed all instructions in the readme.html and the PDF file which is found under the /doc. I had little bit experience in installing webutil in forms 9i and it was very much successful. For me it was very straight forward and by following those instruction it was very easy, But the installation in 10g makes me drink water. I mean I just can't win at all.
    I get the error WUC-015. I did looked at the documentation, like I said I followed every step, still I cannot solve it. The following are the error found in the java console.

    I also noticed something strange under \webutil\lib, When I sign the certicate I can see two extra files appear in the directory called jacob.jar.unsigned and webuti.jar.unsinged. I have a feeling this is not right. I don't get any other error message while I sign those jar files.
    Can any one give me some ideas. Thanks very much

    yes I can run the test forms. I can run a form without webutil. The problem comes only when I run a form having webutil library. If I run the same form through my Developer suite there is no problem at all. But if I put that form in my application server and when I run that form, it freezes.
    Below are the config for Developer suite and Application server.
    Developer suite - formsweb.cfg

  • Deploy to Standalone WLS 10.3.5  java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:

    Hi there, I am having a problem with my upgraded application and upgraded WLS server.
    I am really hoping that someone can help me out here.... I simply can't get it to deploy.
    Basically I had no deployment issues ever, with 11.1.1.4 and WLS 10.3.4 with deployments. I have since upgraded my JDEV application to 11.1.2 and also our standalone WLS server to 10.3.5. I believe that all post patches (upgrade ADF and the Sherman patch) have been applied. I can see the JSF 2.0 library under deployments and these are correctly targeted.
    When I attempt to deploy now, the following error message is recieved:
    [08:30:46 AM] [Deployer:149191]Operation 'deploy' on application 'HROpenView_application1' is initializing on 'wls_adf1'
    [08:31:02 AM] Weblogic Server Exception: weblogic.application.ModuleException: Failed to load webapp: 'CEL'
    [08:31:02 AM] Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.webapp.TrinidadConverterELTag
    [08:31:02 AM] See server logs or server console for more details.
    [08:31:02 AM] weblogic.application.ModuleException: Failed to load webapp: 'CEL'
    [08:31:02 AM] Deployment cancelled.
    [08:31:02 AM] ---- Deployment incomplete ----.
    [08:31:02 AM] Remote deployment failed (oracle.jdevimpl.deploy.common.Jsr88RemoteDeployer)
    I have read the following note:
    when deplying ear file in weblogic  getting this error
    However this seems to be relevant to someone trying to deploye on weblogic 10.3.4. Is there something specific here that I can be looking at? It works fine on the integrated server.
    I have checked my project libraries, and ADF Faces runtime 11 and Trinidad Faces Runtime 11 are both included and ticked. Is there something on the server that I need to be looking for? Does anyone know what the deployment library name is?
    Cheers,
    Simon

    Simon,
    your test application should be simple but not blank. If you're using BC in your other application, you should add a table (EO) and a VO. A minimal UI e. g. the vo as table on a jsf page should be enough.
    If this works on the stand alone wls know that the server is running OK.
    The em or enterprise manager is an application to manage one or more wls serves our cluster of serves. This em is part of the installation. When You instal the adf runtime in a server, our extend an on, you should see a check box to install the em in the server. This its am option, you don't need to do this, but my experience is that if em runs OK, the adf runtime installation is OK.
    If the em its installed, you should see an application named em on the server. If this app is in running state OK you can it with the same url you use to start the admin console, only you write em instead of condole at three end of the url.

    Olival,
    Is your application using UIX ? Seems like it from the error. The class you are getting the error on
    Erro: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.cabo.ui.jsps.tags.RenderingContextTEI"
    is part of uix2.jar, which is available in JDev environment, but not under standalone
    OC4J. Hence the error.
    -Prasad
    Hi,
    I'm getting this error when trying to run my struts app:
    "500 Internal Server Error
    OracleJSP: oracle.jsp.parse.JspParseException: Nzmero da Linha 1, <%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/struts-logic.tld"
    prefix="logic" %>
    Erro: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.cabo.ui.jsps.tags.RenderingContextTEI"
    The error msg is localized to my country (Brazil), so "Nzmero da Linha" translates to "Line Number", and "Erro" means "Error".
    The error comes from the 1st page called by the application (index.jsp), wich uses the struts redirect tag.
    Strange enough, this error only shows on OC4J 9.0.3 stand-alone (got the latest version today from OTN), but when calling from JDeveloper 9.0.3 (production), using the embedded OC4J, everything's ok.
    Has anybody experienced the same error ?
    Tnxs,
    Olival Jr.

  • Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.jdbc.dr

    Hi
    I am trying to use type 4 driver to connect to my Oracle 9i Rel2 database. I downloaded the odbc14.jar from oracle and added in the C:\Oracle9i\jdbc\lib path. As on the website, I setup my environment:
    Setting Up Your Environment
    On Win95/Win98/NT:
    - Add [ORACLE_HOME]\jdbc\lib\classes111.zip and
    [ORACLE_HOME]\jdbc\lib\nls_charset11.zip to your CLASSPATH.
    (Add classes12.zip and nls_charset12.zip if JDK 1.2.x or 1.3 is
    used. Add ojdbc14.jar and nls_charset12.zip if JDK 1.4 is used.)
    - Make sure [ORACLE_HOME]\bin is in your PATH.
