How do I pass selected values from dynamic LOV to Command SQL in Oracle

My environment:
Crystal 11
Oracle 10
I've created and tuned a SQL script for a report. In the Database Expert, I've copied the SQL into a Command. I've modified the Command to create 3 parameters.
I need help with the following:
1) How do I create a dynamic, cascading LOV and associated prompt group for the three parameters defined in the Command?
2) How do I pass the user selected valueS from the prompt group into the Command SQL as limits applied to the query executed against the database?

I have the same problem with same environment .
The main report is having a 2 level cascading dynamic parameters.
I created a sub report with a command as below.

and How I will substitute this in my command . As I new to Crystal XI help expected.

How do I pass a value from a selected datagrid row to a popup

I am working on a project tracking application in flex and need to pass the value of one of the rows from the datagrid to a popup. We have a screen with 2 data grids. The first datagrid lists the projects, their start, and end date and the project owner. The datagrid below the first datagrid lists the tasks for that specific project listed in the datagrid above. When you click on the project name above, the datagrid below is populated with the tasks. Within the tasks datagrid are start and end date boxes.
What I need to do is be able to pass the project ID from the original datagrid into a popup that is called when a user changes the date of a project task. The popup is designed to submit a reason for why the user is changing the date on the task. In short, when they submit a reason, I need the project id passed from the datagrid into the popup so when submit is clicked, the proper row in the DB table is update via a CFC. Thank you.

How to get the selected values from multiselected list

I have a multiselect list displaying all the years from 2003 to 2008 (used dynamic LOV). The user can choose one or more years as per his needs, and then when user clicks on the link the selected values of the list are to be captured and a pop up page of a Discoveror report needs to be opened where these years get passed as a parameter. I tried several methods to capture the value, but either one or all are getting passed but not exactly what the user has chosen.
This is how it looks:
P2_FISCAL_YEAR is a multiselect list containing values from 2003,2004... 2008
If user chooses 2004 and 2007
then I want the url to capture these values and pass as parameters for my discoveror reports. as '&qp_fiscal_year=2004,2007'

Pass selected values from a checkbox

hello everybody
i was looking for a similar thread but i couldn't find the answer i'm need, so here's my question.
i have an checkbox populated from a dynamic LOV. it is showing me the correct values, but i haven't been able to receive the selected values on the other page. i always receive the first value.
For example
My options ar: code 1
code 5
code 9
code 10
When I checked 5 and 9 and submit the page (i submit the page to itself), my the values in the URL are siomething like '....%2C5:9', but the only checked value is 5.
How must i send the values to receive them in the correct way? I tried 'checkbox' and 'multiselect list' and they had the same behaviour.

Hi Daniel
This happens because : (colon) is used to separate parameters in the URL as well.
To solve it, I used the following code in a after submit computation on the checkbox field:
replace(:p500_checkbox, ':', '|') -- value becomes 1|2|3|4 (URL friendly)
Then in a before header computation:
replace(:p500_checkbox, '|', ':') -- value goes back to 1:2:3:4
It worked well, though I am sure there must be a more intelligent way to do it...

it must not display anything as data.ln doesnot have any value. in your code, in the text property of textfield, data is considered as a property of your application, a dynamic object; so even it doesnot have ln property, it is not showing error, neither displaying anything.
do you mean to populate your textfields if the datagrid row is selected? if so:

if you want to populate the same data without caring if it is selected in datagrid, you should not think like you are getting data from datagrid, instead, you are getting your values directly from the studinfo.lastResult

note: if your result contains more than one data, you should treat it as array:
studinfo.lastResult.datas.data[0].ln

Yes, you would have to make the motion from one page to the next submit a form. Then on the second JSP you can use request.getParameter("nameOfInputField") to get the value the user selected.

Passing multiple select value from BI publisher to PL/SQL functions

Hi - I have designed a report which pass parameters (Multi select) into a function to get the output result. When a single parameter value is passed to the function, report is being displayed. When multi select value is passed to the function it is returning the error `wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'F_PROCESS_WAVE_DATA'. When i checked the parameters passed to the function, i can see each multi select value is treated as different value and is assigned to different parameter in the function.
Any help on passing the multi select parameter into function will be helpful.

All - Issue was resolved. I followed the following steps to resolve the issue
1. Create a PL/SQL table type variable as VARCHAR2 in the database - Say as Larray
2. Create PL/SQL type record and table for the record in database. Lrec, Ltable
3. In BI report pass multiple select LOV variable as Larray(variable).
4. In DB function, Parameter should be defined as LARRAY.
5. Return PL/SQL table type Ltable from the function.

ADF Get selected values from Dynamic Lists

I have a created a dropdown list box where the list gets value through a managed bean. On commit I want the selected value to be saved into the CardiacV1EchoSched column of the Entity object (database). The source looks like this.

The problem is that getCardiacV1EchoSched() in the entity object class is null. The selected value does not get passed into #{bindings.CardiacV1EchoSched.inputValue} at all. If I bind the value to a variable in managed bean I get the selected value.

How do I pass input values from an OTL timecard to a Fast Formula (FF)?

Hi - I hope my question is a simple one, but after hours of searching I have a feeling it is not. I currently have a FF rule that checks if benefit hours were entered in whole or half day increments. If not, an error is shown after 'Continue' is clicked. I fully understand the setup of this rule and all I want to do is enhance it a bit. I want to verify if the Task Code and Expenditure Type code combination that is coded is correct. If they are not, I want to flag it. My issue is: I have not been able to pass the values of Task Code and Expenditure Type to the FF successfully. They are not database values and any aliases I try do not work (I assume they would be input variables passed to the FF). Any tips would be appreciated.

You should read these values from the attributes pl/sql tables in your FF code. The timecard related info gets passed to the FF as context when you are creating a time entry rule FF.
