How do I populate a whole column using a function?

I have a table to determine the cost of my inventory (both wholesale and retail). I have the following columns:
Part
Total - the total number of Parts I have
Retail Cost - the price I charge my customers for 1 Part
Wholesale Cost - the price I paid for 1 Part
I want to create a new column called Total Wholesale which is the Product of Total and Wholesale Cost. I can do this by clicking on an individual cell in the Total Wholesale column and typing "=Total*Wholesale Cost". But I don't want to have to click on each cell in the Total Wholesale column and populate it this way. I would like to know if there is a mechanism where I can type in that sequence once and have Numbers use it to populate each individual cell of the Total Wholesale column. There must be a way. What am I missing?

Figured this out on my own. In the first cell of the Total Wholesale column, I typed my formula "=Total*Wholesale Cost". It computed the answer and put the result in that cell. I went back to that cell and selected it. A small circle appeared in the bottom right corner. I clicked on that little circle and dragged the cursor down the whole column. Each of the cells of the column filled with the result of my little formula.
Now, I do recognize that there is this whole issue of relative VS absolute cell addresses to contend with. But that's a topic for another discussion.

If you are referring to text or numbers in a column (not table), then get the free Service plug-in WordService, from Devon Technologies. Put it in the
/Users/yourlogin/Library/Services folder location.
Select your data to be sorted. From the Pages menu > Services > Sort Ascending will do the trick. This will work with Pages ’09 and Pages v5.2 or later, as well as Apple Mail, TextEdit, etc.
The WordService files include a PDF (Read Me) that describes the services included with the package.
The Service items will only appear in the Services submenu when you have selected your data prior to sort. If these WordService items do not appear in the Services menu as they should per the preceding sentence, then you will need to enable them.
System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Services. Scroll through the right hand list of services until you encounter Sort Ascending and ensure that it is selected.
If you were referring to sorting a column of data in a table:

Select all cells containing your unordered data. In the Table Inspector, under Edit Rows & Columns, choose Sort Ascending.

Select cells as before. In the Table heading (A, B, C, etc.) when you roll over the letter, a down-arrow appears. Click, and choose Sort Ascending from the drop down menu.

1. whether you want the whole number greator than or eqaul to that number example for 12.6 you want 12 or 13
see below example

floor will always give you a round value which is a integer or whole number less than or equal to but output of rond will differ if the value is greator than 12.5 it will give 13 but if it is less than 12.5 it will give 12, so depending on your requirement you can choose which function to use. similarly if you always want to get the whole number greator than the number you can use ceil as below
SQL> select ceil(12.3) from dual;
CEIL(12.3)
        13
SQL> select ceil(12.8) from dual;
CEIL(12.8)
        13

SQL LOADER: how to load CLOB column using stored function

I am a newbie of sql loader. Everything seems to be fine until I hit a
road block - the CLOB column type. I want to load data into the clob
column using a stored function. I need to do some manipulation on the
data before it gets saved to that column. But I got this error when I
run the sql loader.
SQL*Loader-309: No SQL string allowed as part of "DATA" field
specification
DATA is my CLOB type column.
here is the content of the control file:

Input enable query column using Planning function

Is it possible to input enable a column in query based on user action in Radio button group or button group by calling a planning function or WAD?
By default the column property for query will be Planning not allowed, but a user action should change the mode to Planning allowed using planning function or entries.

you could try to write an exit data slice and a planning function which sets the data slice to not lock the data during runtime. You can find several threads in this forum. how an exit data slice can be used to control the locking of data during runtime.
Together with the command I mentioned in my last answer this may work, but it still depends on your requirements. A dataslice checks only the combination of characteristics. If you can identiy a characteristic for each column this may work. If not, there is no characteristic combination which can be locked. Please consider this when designing your application. This may lead to an additional characteristic which is used just to identify which column should be locked.

If I had to do this detective work, I would probably do the following:
1. Activate for a period of time the function, eul5_post_save_document. This function when activated is triggered at the time a workbook is saved. If you look at its columns, it save the worksheet's SQL.
2. Next, I would parse the EUL5_WORKSHEET_SQL.SQL_SEGMENT column which is a varchar2(4000) column. There are many effective Oracle functions which could aid you in this effort (e.g. instring or perhaps a regular expression function).

How do I achieve the above?

Today you have only 3 months JAN, FEB, MAR. Is it always the same number of columns. What if there are more months added to this row?
Is your data really coming from relational source or some sort of text file?
There is a better way to do this in narrative view using HTML if your requirement is just to show them in multiple rows and do some calculations.
Go to Narrative View;
In prefix, use <html> <table>
In 'Narrative' text box add something like this
<tr> <td> @1 </td> <td> @4 </td> <td> @7 </td> </tr>
<tr> <td> @2 </td> <td> @5 </td> <td> @8 </td> </tr>
<tr> <td> @3 </td> <td> @6 </td> <td> @9 </td> </tr>

You can also add simple calculations like sum etc at the very bottom of these rows as grand totals.

Can text be displayed in a formula column using mathematical functions?

I am working with Financial Reports version 11.1.1.3 and I'm trying to accomplish the following scenario:
Column D is a data column
Column E is a text column containing the value "TEXT"
Column F is a formula column with the following formula: IfThen([D]=0,[E],[D])
What I want to see happen is if the value in column D is 0 then I want the value "TEXT" to appear in column F, otherwise; I want to show the data value that is in column D. Is it possible to display text in a formula column and if so, what is the syntax for that? Or does anyone have another way to accomplish this? Any help would be appreciated.

Short answer: No.
For your particular issue, I would suggest putting your TEXT value in the #zero and #missing overrides in Report Studio.
In general, Hyeprion Reporting does not do any real text validations or functions like you could use in Excel.

How to produce Material output message when use bapi function?

I use bapi BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE to receive stock.
I find the output message can't create automatically even when I have set the type in MR21.

The messages are stored in the return table of the bapi.
You can search in SCN or Google for BAPI error handling.
