How do I populate sequential dates from a date entered in a form field.

I have  a document in a new employee packet that uses a populated date but also needs to have the previous 6 days populated in adjacent fields.  For example, the populated date is 2/13/2015, the adjacent fields must populate 2/12/2015, 2/11/2015, 2/10/2015, 2/9/2015, 2/8/2015, and 2/7/2015 Based off the 2/13/2015 date.  How would I go about doing this, I am assuming is is a custom script that I would adjust the variables on, but I am limited in my understanding of actually writing the script.
I do learn how to do these things once I have a solid script to work from, this is just a new concept for me to wrap my head around.

Yes, it requires custom JavaScript. One needs to convert the date string to the JavaScript date object and then use the various date object date methods to adjust the date object.
var cDate = "2/13/2015"; // date value to process;
var oDate = util.scand("m/d/yyyy", cDate); // convert to date object;
console.println(oDate);
for (var i = 1; i  > -5; i--) {
oDate.setDate(oDate.getDate() - 1); // decrement the date value by 1 day;
console.println(oDate);

  • How Can i send the data entered in Input text fields to e-mail?

    Iam Jennifer, Iam having a doubt in Flash, I hope that you
    are going to solve my problem, Iam taking 3 Static text fields as
    Name, Age and Country and besides each and every static text fields
    i have taken 3 input text fields with different instance names,
    when i enter my Name, Age and Country details in the input text
    fields and after entering those details if user clicks the submit
    button the data should be send to some mail address, is it possible
    Im not so good at action script, but i hope that any one can
    help me...
    Iam attaching the action script code also, please find the
    attachment below, the actions are given to button.
    Attach Code
    Btn.onPress = function ()
    mail_lv = new LoadVars();
    mail_lv.dummy1 = "";
    mail_lv.subject = "Details";
    mail_lv.message = "hi";
    mail_lv.username = "name_txt".text;
    mail_lv.age = "age_txt".text;
    mail_lv.country = "country_txt".text;
    mail_lv.onLoad = function ()
    trace("Sent successfully...");
    trace("mail_lv.subject = " + mail_lv.subject);
    trace("mail_lv.message = " + mail_lv.message);
    mail_lv.send("mailto:[email protected]", "_blank");

    The names of your variables, "name_txt", for instance, should
    NOT have quotes around them. Use:
    mail_lv.username = name_txt.text;
    mail_lv.age = age_txt.text;
    mail_lv.country = country_txt.text;

  • Data entered in the custom field in the SRM portal not getting saved..

    Hi Experts,
    I have added a custom field in Contract Screen of the SRM portal by adding the field as an append structutre in structure INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF_CTR.
    The custom field now appears in the header (basic data ) of the 'Process contract' screen.
    NOw It allows me to enter data in the custom field .
    The problem is ..
    When I  'CHECK' or "RELEASE'   the contract, the value entered in the custom field disappears..
    How do i capture the data entered in the custom field ...please HElp!!!
    Thanks in Advance.
    Vidya

    Hi Pradeep,
    Thanks for the reply!!
    We have upgraded our SRM system from 3.0 to 5.5
    I have added the custom field in structures INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF_CTR  and
    INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF  as the field has to appear in the basic data tab of 'Process Contract'.
    Regarding debugging:
    1. I tried to debug in BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI by calling the FM BBP_PD_CTR_GETDETAIL. inside the badi and the parameter e_header of the function module contained the custom field but had no value...!!
    2. I tried to debug the badi BBP_CUF_BADI_2  method MODIFY_INPUT..
       The import variable iv_fieldname contains the field name amd the variable iv_value has the value entered in the custom field .........but another import structure ls_header also contains the custom field but no value....
    Method  MODIFY_INPUT has only one export parameter ev_value,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How do you auto populate a date in a different text field after someone digitally signs the PDF form?

    I am trying to auto populate a date in a text box on the upper right hand corner of my document after someone digitally signs it. Is this possible? How do you do this?

    Go to the Properties of the Digital Signature field and under the Signed tab enter this JS code, under the last option:
    this.getField("SignDate").value = util.printd("mm/dd/yyyy", new Date());
    this.getField("SignDate").defaultValue =this.getField("SignDate").valueAsString;
    Of course, you can adjust the field name and the date format used in the script above.

  • How to get from data entered on a form to a session attribute

    I have a jsp with a form with fields that are updated by the user.
    The values are in the fields value as I expected.

    How do I populate a session variable with document.frm.Name.value?
    I think I have to do a request.getParameter("Name") followed by a

    Any idea is welcomed. Thanks

  • How does one strip out all Live Cycle data from a PDF and rebuild the form fields in Acrobat?

    Someone in a different department built a bunch of forms in Live Cycle. We now need to make minor edits to these forms but we all have Macs and can't use Live Cycle. Currently our only option to change a date and a name on each form  is to buy a new Windows workstation, buy a copy of Live Cycle and train someone for it.
    I understand the Live Cycle technology and Acrobat technology for forms are somehow different but there must be a way to just strip out all the Live Cycle form programming so that I just have the bare PDF with the text and layout.  Then make the text edits and rebuild the form fields in Acrobat.

    It depends on your PDF. Is the PDF a static XFA or a dynamic XFA?
    You can check to see if the PDF is static/dynamic by clicking File=>Save As, and it should say static or dynamic PDF as file type.
    iText will work with Static XFA forms created in LiveCycle. Dynamic XFA forms are not supported.
    You can also submit XML data to a server side script and parse the XML data using C# system.xml.xmlreader.
    Another tool that may speed the development of the project is:
    http://www.fdftoolkit.net/
    Note: FDFToolkit.net utilizes iText Technologies.

  • Populate BAM data object through adf form.

    I want to populate a BAM data object using adf form as we do in case of database table by creating a data control. How to do this?

    Hi Simanta
    1. I am seeing lot of posts from you regarding this Java to BAM Data Objects integration.
    2. What exactly are you trying to do. Dataobjects are very tightly coupled with actual Database component that is used to create that like Table or View etc.
    3. Best way is. Create a data object. Export that DataObject using "icommand". See docs for this command usage.It generate a pure .XML file with all the details like DataObject name, external referenced Database details (datasource name), external Table or View details. Then mapping for EACH column on this object and that database stuff. Just see the xml file, Its pretty straight forward. When you Export Reports also, it creates an XML File exactly like this only but with more details like all column Formatting information etc etc. Export one Report also and see that xml 4. file.
    4. Both above XML Files are stored in ORABAM Schema. Tables of interest are :SysIterDataset, SysIterParameter, SysIterParameterValue, SysIterReport etc.
    5. Oracle do NOT expose any Public APIs to handle above stuff. But if you really really want, you can always manipulate XML content and reload to those columns any time. Need to add few query parameters to get exact row like ReportId, or DataObject Id which are just PKs etc.
    Still, I am curious why and what is the usecase where you want to do all this from Java code. Because DataObject is a one time thing. And note that it is used in Report. So if you modify data object like remove a column, then Report will die.
    By the way, all the WebServices exposed may be for ReadOnly purposes. I am not sure if you have services to modify them.
    Thanks

  • How do i import excel data base into pdf form drop down field

    Hi,
    I have a table of about 2500 rows and three columns that i would like to import into a drop down window on a PDF form to be self populated when item selected rather than entering the data. How can this be done?
    Thanks!
    Richard

    Hi,
    I did not know only two entries for each option item is it. I have manually entered data in the drop down an list boxes. With 2500 lines of data I was hoping there was an easier way other than manually entering the data.
    I have no knowledge of Java Scripting.....
    I was just wondering if there was a way from an Excel spreadsheet to import that data into a PDF form to be selectable to populate PDF fields in a form. It doesn't sound like it.
    Thanks......

  • Can I use data entered in PDF form's field(s) to auto-populate Save As file name?

    Hello,
    I want to automate, as much as possible, the "Save As" process by using some of the data that the user entered in the fillable PDF form.
    For example, I want to include the user's First Name and Last Name that they entered in the form to be part of the saved file name.
    First Name: Bob
    Last Name: Smith
    Therefore, when you select to Save As part of the new file name will already have <BobSmith><today's date>.PDF
    Form was created using LiveCycle Designer 11
    PDF version: 1.7, Adobe Extension Level 8 (Acrobat X)
    Thanks for any information that you can share.
    Regards,
    Roch

    You should try the LiveCycle Designer forum, but from my experience with Acrobat forms it's not possible. What you can do is either save the file using the desired file name and path (without user interaction), if the script runs from a trusted context, or you can prompt the user with the desired file-name for the file, but not enforce them to use it, nor populate it into the Save As dialog itself.

  • Copy and Paste from Safari to MS Word Text Form Field adds a trailing space

    I know this is just a minor issue, but an inconvenience for me nonetheless.
    When I go to the same page and copy and paste the same text from Firefox, the trailing space is not added.
    What I find puzzling is that when I paste the same copied text into notepad from Safari, it does not add the trailing space.
    So it is likely an issue with MS Word's method of pasting text, but strange to me that it does not happen from Firefox.
    Is there a way to inspect the exact contents of the clipboard to see if there are any differences?
    I just did a little bit more testing, and found that Word only adds an trailing space when I paste into a "Text Form Field" from only Safari.
    Maybe the solution is to stop using MS Word. (Ha, Ha)

    OK, I think I found another way to describe my issue:
    When I copy text from a webpage in Safari, some form of "meta-information", or formatting data, is kept, and when I paste into MS Word, the formatting from the webpage is retained. In my default setup of Firefox, this formatting meta-information is not retained, it only copies the plain-text.
    So my question is actualy: How do I prevent Safari from retaining formatting data, and only copy the plain-text?
    I have been testing some clipboard managers, and have yet to find one that will auto-filter out formatting data from text that I copy, but they can after interaction.
    The other, current, method I have been using is to:
    1. select and copy the text in Safari
    2. paste text into notepad
    3. select and copy text from notepad
    4. paste de-formatted text into MS Word
    Or in Firefox:
    1. select and copy the text in Firefox
    2. paste text into MS Word (no formatting retained)

  • PHP remember Form-button data to insert into form field

    Hi,
    I am creating a book website where people can reserve books (one at a time).
    Basically what I want to do is have a reserve button under each book which contains hidden values (the title and author of the book) and when they click on the button they will be taken to a 'reserve book' page with a form on it where they will have to fill out their details. However I want the book title and author to automatically be entered into the appropriate fields, so to save the users from having to do it themselves.
    I'm sure this is possible with PHP, but not sure how to go about it in the right way.
    I would appreciate any help with this.
    Thanks

    Thanks for that, however I can't seem to get the first part of the code right. I have the following:
