    You should read these:

Yours is not mentioned, but model numbers close to yours are; Sony uses some proprietary formats, so you may have to do some fiddling to get it to work. There is probably a way; if you can't get it to import directly, you should be able to get the footage on your desktop and then use something like MPEG Streamclip to convert to a format iMovie can deal with.
And, it is always helpful to keep your equipment in mind and do some research before buying other stuff.

  • How do i put movies from itunes on my ipad, but keep them off my ipod?

I'm sort of new to this whole ipad thing so please be patient with me.  I have been using itunes for my ipod for years now, but just recently purchased a new ipad.  I have alot of digital copy movies that i would like to put on it, but i dont want them to automatically transfer to my ipod also when i plug it in.  Can someone please tell me what needs to be done for this?

Simply configure the iPod to not sync movies by disabling the Sync Movies option from under the iPod's Movies configuration tab in iTunes. To access this tab, plug your iPod in and click on it from Devices in the left hand pane of iTunes. Over to the right in the main iTunes window section, locate the Movies tab along the top and select it.  At the top of this tab is the option to Sync Movies.
Make sure it has NO check mark and apply the changes if necessary by clicking the Apply button in the lower right hand corner.

How can I put music from my computer on to my husband's Iphone without doing a backup of his phone on my computer?  All I want to do is add music to his iphone for him...not backup or sync his phone... thanks

Does your husband have his own computer/iTunes account? If so, the easiest way is to turn on Home Sharing, transfer whatever you want from your library to his library & then sync it to his phone on his computer:

  • How can i put songs from my itunes on my computer onto my iphone

how can i put songs from my itunes on my computer onto my iphone?
The newest version of itunes seems to be a little more difficult to do this than past versions. I plug in my iphone to my computer and it does not allow me to "drag" songs into my iphone option anymore. Help!
The songs I am trying to get on my iphone are from CDs that I have purchased outside of the itunes store. Can I not put those on my iphone anymore?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Select the phone in the device list in iTunes, navigate to the music tab, check the music you want iTunes to sync with your phone, click the apply/sync button.

How do I transfer movies from my iTunes account on my computer to my ipad2

If the films are on your computer's iTunes then connect your iPad to your computer and select it on the left-hand side of iTunes under 'Devices' - and you should then be able to use the Films/Movies tab on the right-hand side to select which of the films to sync to the Videos app on the iPad

You need to copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.
The iphone is not a storage/backup device.
The music sync is one way - computer to iphone.
You can transfer itunes purchases.  Without syncing:  File>Transfer Purchases

  • How do i put pictures from my laptop onto my ipad mini ?

I have a windows 8 laptop with itunes and i was wondering how do i put pictures from my laptop onto my ipad mini ? I have done this before but i have only been able to do 1 album and then when i try to do another it gets rid of the 1st album i put on there. How do i put more than 1 album onto my ipad mini?

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive (works the same with an SD card) into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

  • How can I export photos from my iPad or iPod to my main computer or hard drive. My old computer died and I want to get my photos onto my new computer. Thanks in advance.

HOw can I export photos from my iPad or iPod to my main computer? My old computer died with my photos on it but I want to move my photo library from my iPad or iPod to the computer I just bought. Thanks for any help you can give.

Sorry but your iPhoto library is not on an iPad or iPod - you may have photos there (most likely low resolution copies) but not an iPhoto library - dying computers (along with software and human errors) are why you always must have a backup - now is the time to load it
