How do I read the actual height of the panel title bar (or actual total panel height)

In Flex 4.5:
I have panel which is reading panel.height as 159, however it contains a swf in a swfloader which is 400 in height so it should be more than 400.
I need to know what the actual height of the panel is so I can scaleX and scaleY it to full screen height eg. scale=screenheight/panelHeight.
I know the content container will be 400 (the size of the movie) but can't read the height of the titleBar, and the overall panel height is returning the wrong value.

Spark Panels don't clip.  Maybe that's what is going on?  Also check the
measuredHeight of the Panel.

  • How can I read Extended APDU input to the same buffer

    The following is the code I am currently using where inBuffer is an intermediate array of 1000 length. However, I do not want to allocate any buffers at all, and just want to send a command apdu of 1000 byte length and modify it in the code and return the modified buf in the response APDU.
    // Read extended APDU input

    Util.arrayCopyNonAtomic(buf, dataOffset, inBuffer, (short) 0, bytesRead);
    // what is the overall length?
    short overallLength = apdu.getIncomingLength();
    short messageOffset = bytesRead;

    You should not call the convenience method setIncomingAndReceive() in your first code. Please find out about the different APDU states. Furthermore, your Applet should implement the ExtendedLength tagging interface.

  • How can I read an ID-value from the LMS and insert this into an URL?

    Hi
    Right now I am struggling with a little problem. Hopefully anyone here knows the answer. For the latest course I am building (Captivate 6), it is necessary that at one point the course reads an ID-value from the LMS. After that, this ID should be inserted into an URL.
    To be more precisely: the ID must be read (getValue) from cmi.archive_id and inserted into an URL like that: http://.../archive.php?action=pdf&objectID=ARCHIVE_ID.
    Unfortunately I am more of a designer und less of a javascript-maestro (well...I am a javascript-noob to be precisely), therefore I am pretty clueless how to do that. I tried a simple executed action (run Javascript: cpEIGetValue('cmi.archive_id'); and after that open URL http://.../archive.php?action=pdf&objectID=ARCHIVE_ID), but...well...that didn't work.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks a lot in advance

  • How do I read a character and advance the scanner to the next one?

    Hi,
    I'm writing a lexical and grammar analyzer and I don't usually program in Java. I have a method that reads one character and then parses it. The problem is that it keeps reading the same character over and over again, so my program gets stuck in an infinite loop.
    How do I make it so that BufferedReader advances to the next character in the string?
    Here is the code so far:
    public static void getChar()
                throws FileNotFoundException, UnsupportedEncodingException, IOException {
            BufferedReader reader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader
                    (new FileInputStream(inputFileName), Charset.forName("UTF-8")));
            int c;
            if ((c = reader.read()) != -1){
                if (c != 32)
                    nextChar = (char) c;
                if (Character.isLetter(nextChar))
                    charClass = LETTER;
                else if (Character.isDigit(nextChar))
                    charClass = DIGIT;
                else
                    charClass = UNKNOWN;
            else{
                charClass = EOF;
                //System.out.println("Next Token is: RES_WORD. Next lexeme is: EOF.");
        } //end getChar.At first I just had a while loop, but I want this method to be called from another method and so I didn't think the while loop worked. Is there a better way?
    Help is much appreciated.
    EDIT: By the way, I don't want to read tokens. I need it to be characters. And it doesn't have to be BufferedReader. I'm open to suggestions.
    EDIT2: While I don't want to read tokens, if it's the simplest way then I'm open to it. The scanner class would work for that I guess, but then I would have to do a charAt stuff. I'm open to your insight.

    Every time you call that method, you open a new BufferedReader on the file and read the first character from it. So yes, you always get the same character. Solution: Don't open the BufferedReader in that method. Open it somewhere else, just once, and use it in that method.Thanks. That was stupid of me.

  • How can I read a text file inside the .xsjs?

    I need to read line by line of a text file just like FileReader and BufferedReader in Java. It contains a script SQL to insert data in my DB. Can I use some API?

    There is no API that allows you to access the file system of the server in XSJS. You would need to upload the file from the client side and it will appear as a array buffer in the request object.  From there you can convert the array buffer to a string and process however you like.
    For example:
      var content = "";
        content = $.request.body.asArrayBuffer();
        var array = new Uint8Array(content);
        var encodedString = String.fromCharCode.apply(null,array),
             decodedString = decodeURIComponent(escape(encodedString));
            content = decodedString;
        var lines = content.split(/\r\n|\n/);

  • How do I read in audio data from the line in port?

    I would like to use the "line in" port to acquire audio signals for processing, however I can't determine which "device" number to use. I've determined that device 1 is my microphone jack but I can't get anything to work for the "line in" jack. Is there an easy way to determine what the device number is for the line in jack?

    Try using Device 0, this is the default device, your sound card. Devices, in this case, are the sound card. Unless you have more than one sound card (and I don't know how to determine which is 0 and which is 1 in that case) you should use Device 0. Lines on the sound card are determined by the drivers. All you do is play or record.

  • How to get the count property from the oData response

    Hi,
    I have a fullscreen view in my Fiori app where we call a oData service through table.bindItems() inside the controller.
    The binding of items works fine but we have a situation when we need to display the total number of items (for e.g. 515) on the UI. We do not get this information from the VDM, so we plan to use the length property of the getList() method to determine the total number of items. But because of growing feature of the table it only reads 100 items at a time and the length property returns only 100. I have attached the listener attachRequestCompleted() for the model so that once the bindItems() request is complete i can get the length property. But my problem is that i want the total count.
    I saw in the debug that when this table.bindItems() gets called it makes a oData service call and in the response i can see that there is a count property available which has the total number of items (515 for my e.g.) but how do i read this count property from the response inside my controller (probably inside my attachRequestCompleted)?? I would really appreciate any help in this regard. Thanks.
    Kind Regards,
    Ashish

    HI Chandra,
    Thanks for your suggestions.
    But i think in my case we do not want to get the complete list. We still want to get only 100 items initially and then if the user would scroll down he/she would see more items. But we already need to know the total number of items for the purpose of showing a message to the user. For e.g. Total issues (515),  but the table would initially show only 100 and then another 100 after scroll. So setting the size litmit to max would not help.
    And to be able to use the $count you mentioned, we have to still make another oData service call which we do not want.
    But as i mentioned there is already a property named "__count" in the response of the bindItems() method call and i see that it has correct count but not sure how to retrieve it inside the controller. Thanks.
    Regards,
    Ashish
