How do I remove exclamation symbol next to track name

I transferred all my music from my old computer to my new one, I did this using an external drive in three batches. For some reason most of the songs appear duplicated with one of the duplicate version having an exclamation sign next to the name. This symbol is supposed to mean that the song has been moved or can't be found, which is not true in my case but I don't I just want to eliminate from my library all duplicate songs that have an exclamation symbol. How do I do it?

These two statements are at odds
Truth is, you did move the music. iTunes relies on a database file consisting of the exact path to each song. If any part of the path on the new computer (including username) are different, then it would appear as a new song to iTunes.
The two choices at this point are:
1)clear the library and then add the folder on the new computer.
2)figure out what has changed in the file structure and change it back. That can take some time, so be prepared if you follow this one.

Hello-
I'm wondering how to remove a symbol from the stage in Edge Animate so you can jump to another place in the timeline. In Flash, the symbol was only on the stage for the amount of frames you indicated. Not sure how it works here.
For example, I have 2 buttons on my first screen with some text that animates in. I want the button click to take the user to another section in the timeline or (basically another scene, like in Flash) that contains different content. If I change the visibility the buttons are still there and will ( I assume) create problems when other elements are placed on top.
Or is the only way with code. If that is the case what would that code be?
I would appreciate any help.

What I usually do, is, once you have everything set up in the scene you are done with. highlight it all
right click
group elements in DIV
Now all those items act as 1 group and then you give it a properties name, much like a symbol.
THEN you can refer to that scene name and move it anywhere or hide it and slide in another scene that has the content for that next scene.
basically you take all the elements that make up 1 scene, gruop it up, name it, and then in the code for the button say something like:
on click:
scenename.play(framenumber);
that will then animate that scene according to any animation you gave it, such as moving to the left, off stage. while moving scene 2 that you create into the stage.
or just have something like this hide it
sym.$("scenename").hide();
sym.$("scene2name").show();
but if you do that, make sure in your CompositionReady code you hide all scenes EXCEPT the 1st one, so the user doesnt see them all instanatly anyway.

When the home button is double clicked and all open apps are visible by sliding left or right (multitasking screen), iOS8 has inserted my Facebook photo at the top of the screen with my name under it. If I click/touch the image, a small text baloon pops up. That in turn allows immediate responding to a text message, or sending of a text message. How do I remove my image and name? I deleted the image from my FCebook account but the Oscar has already stored a copy. right now I have to find a way to keep the keyboard from second guessing me and replacing what I want typed with what it wants typed (See 'Oscar' above, should have been OS).

I Think you can turn off the Recents you are seeing in the App Switcher by using the Settings app.
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > Scroll down to the Contacts section > Show in App Switcher > Turn that Off

How do you remove plug-ins from a track?

This might sound stupid, but I don't know how to remove plug-ins from a track.
Not only bypassing them, but removing them completley!

How do I remove a patch from a track?

So in Garageband, the latest version (10.0.2), say you have a track.
And to that track I add a patch from the Library window - lets's say the Electric Guitar and Bass -> Clean Guitar -> Amazing Tweed patch.
Now say that I no longer want this patch applied to this track - how do I remove it? I want it so when I open the Smart Controls window I see the default blue Compressor / EQ / Sends interface, not the one for the Amazing Tweed amp and effects.
I cannot figure out how to do this and it's driving me insane.

There is not dedicated reset command for a Track.
When you create a "Guitar" Audio Track, it will have the Amp Designer and Pedalboard plugin already loaded. When you create a "Mic" Audio Track, it seems to have that basic Patch settings loaded. That is as close of a default reset you can get and I think that is what you wanted.
Here is what you do:
Create a new "Mic" Audio Track
Open the Library Window and click "Save" in the lower right corner of that window. This lets you create your own custom Patch
A Dialog Window pops up, where you enter a name for your Patch , i.e. "Default Patch"
Now, select the Track you want to "reset"
In the Library Window a new Category "User Patches" has been created where the "Default Patch" has been saved to. Click on the "Default Patch"
This will load the Patch onto the selected Track
That's it
You can more information about Patches, User Patches and the Library in my new book: "GarageBand X - How it Works"
You can use the custom Patches not only for this one but in general to store your favorite SOunds you created on your Track. It also stores any AU plugins that you have used on a Track.

How do I manually change the genre or track name

I'm new here, so forgive me if this is easily done. I would like to know how to manually change a song's track name, or genre in iTunes. If i feel like a song is more appropriately labeled "pop" vs "rock" can I change the label? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, i'd like to be able to do the same with track names. Thanks.

Right click on the track you want to change. Choose Get Info and then the Info Tab. You can change the song name, artist, genre etc. in there.
You can also update multiple items, however beforehand you sort your tracks into the order you want, say for instance by Artist. Click on the first track you want to change, hold down the shift key and click on the last you want to change and all the tracks in between will be selected. After that it's right click etc as above.

How do you remove lock symbol from project?

A "key" symbol has shown up on a few random projects in a library.
I was speaking to FCPX Apple Tech for another issue, and asked in passing what did it mean.
She said it meant that there were keywords associated with the project, I was a bit dumbfounded and we returned to the issue purpose for the call.
As I have read, she was referring to a different symbol on documents in a event which is about keywords.
What it does mean is that the project got locked somehow, and now it can not be moved to another library (it only copies it) and it will not allow deletion.
Can't find any documentation about the symbol or how to remove it.
Has anyone had a similar experience and/or has been able to remove it?

That's the portrait orientation lock. Double-tap the home button to bring up the recently used apps bar. Scroll right until reaching the left-most position on the bar. Tap the orientation lock symbol to remove the padlock.

How do I remove the Icons next to each bookmark on the bookmark toolbar? They take up too much space and all the bookmarks I need on the toolbar dont show up.

The icons, if you are familiar with them or they are obvious, take up less space than the words. You can abbreviate the names down to next to nothing or even nothing.
To save space and help organization you can group bookmarks into folders on your Bookmarks toolbar.

! Symbol next to Podcast Name

I have a ! next to the top level name of a podcast, not the name of individual episodes. I try unsubscribe and resubscribe and do not get the list of the available episodes but they are in the itunes store. I can download from the store, I can subscribe from the store. I still get the ! symbol even after downloading some episodes.
Other pod casts will refresh the list of episodes with an unsubscribe/subscribe sequence. Why not this one and what is the correct way to get an episode list if I have deleted it?
I still think the played episodes should be deleted via an option to do that. Delete from the desktop, NOT just the IPOD.

I have seen this happen if it is failing on downloading a specific Podcast episode...
Could be that the Podcast creator removed the Podcast episode, but didn't update the Podcast XML file to reflect that.

How do I remove an advertising program by the name of SmartSuggestor? I cant find it in the ad ons and I cant find it in my add remove programs on my pc.

I keep getting these stupid ads that are apparently from smartsuggestor but I cant find the program anywhere on my pc then I contacted the company and they tell me that it is a firefox issue yet i cant find it in the firefox settings either. I went into the Smart Suggestor site and the name of the extension/program came up as "No extension Found". I cant find anything that even resembles anything to do with the program at all not in the add remove program through control panel or through the extension plug ins area in firefox and was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.
I did not download this crap then all of a sudden I am plagued with pop up adds and other sorts of advertising all stemming from this bloody Smart Suggestor. I have got myself a good pc cleaner along with a few Malware removers and also upgraded my security programming but nothing will either find nor rid my pc of this problem. I have downloaded and reinstalled a fresh copy of Firefox and I am still having the same issue, has anyone else gone through this and how can I get rid of this problem?

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
