from a remote machine? I'm using 10g. The request must be submitted as a URL.

I normally just submit such requests to my butler, and he brings me the results. XML formatted, and crisply starched.

Hi Gurus,
We have used TestStand to save literally thousands of test results files in the XML format. TestStand allowed us to view a specific results file immediately after a test sequence, however I can't find a way to view the XML test results files otherwise. In other words, how can I view any one of a number of TestStand-generated XML results files using TestStand or otherwise (in an appropriate format/style) ?

For some reason it doesn't find the stylesheet on the PC where its being launched from. i can fix the problem by editing the XML's stylesheet path within the xml file and putting style sheet in same directory as results, but I had to write a program to modify all the files because there were so many. Future files no problem.
On another issue, we have thousands of results files stored in XML. Now I need to do some statistical analysis on the results but extracting the fields into a spreadsheet is a nightmare, I wish i'd used text files (database ultimate goal). Any tips here?
Also, in TestStand there seems to be only one location allowable to store all results files. Ideally i want to store results files in product-specific directories, ie not put results for all UUT types in the same directory. Is this possible?
Also, how can I append the word "Pass" of "Fail" into the results file name so you can tell at a glance if a test was passed without opening the file?

DBMS_XMLGEN can handle pagination so it's easy to adapt your existing code.

How can I edit XML results ?

Hi,
In the documentation I read about how to get the results of a query (in .xsql) as a XML-page using the XSQL Servlet. With forms I can insert data into the Database, but what about retrieving data from it and immediately edit and update it (combination of the two) ?
What is the easiest way to achieve that ? I just want to update my data using XML as a data interchange format...

your record.
Without locking, it's just a matter of
writing your XSL to enter data as a default
value into text fields in a form.

Are you wanting to use the BusinessObjects Enterprise SDK along with the Report Engine SDK as opposed to using the Web Services SDK that you were using previously?
Also, what part of a webi document are you trying to get the XML format of?

I've shut down my computer and opened iTunes from the hard drive Program Files and tried to import the CD again with the same problem. You might also be able to do it without importing the songs again I think. Just highlight the tracks, right click them and choose "Get Track Names". This feature only works on CDs that were imported via iTunes.

How to store and retrieve XML messages in AQ using ESB/ BPE

I am having a requirement which I feel should be fairly common - store and retrieve XML messages in AQ. However, I am struggling to decide which type of queue to use AQ or JMS...Here is the requirement
1. In an ESB, I want to read different kind of files using file adapter. Different kind as in, having different structure or schema
2. I want to create a queue that is capable of storing any kind of xml data. To this queue, I want to enqueue the message read in step 1.
3. In another process, say a BPEL, I want to dequeue the message and write into a file. The filename is retrieved from one of the header properties. I want to dequeue using a stored procedure, not by using a JMS or AQ Adapter (reason being that these adapters poll the queue, and consume a message immediately. However, I want to consume the message only when there is a business need)
My questions are:
1. What kind of queue I should create in the DB (What should be its payload type...XMLType? )... I guess the answer would also determine the adapter to be used - JMS or AQ
2. How I should map the xml data read from the file in step 1 to this adapter
Any help is highly appreciated.

You are right in suggesting that I dont need to store my XML data as xml in the DB...I dont want to too :) but its just that, thats the only option I can see at this time (the other track i am exploring is :
File adapter(XML) -> Convert to opaque (base64binary) -> Enqueue opaque to JMS (aq$_jms_bytes_message) ->Dequeue Opaque -> Write file opaquely.
In this I have hit the roadblock in trying to convert XML to base64binary...maybe some custom java function is needed...anyway)

This happened because iCloud only keeps photo stream photos in iCloud for 30 days, even though your last 1000 photo will remain on your device until deleted. Turning off photo stream deleted them from your device; reconnecting to photo stream redownloads photos from the last 30 days (as older ones are no longer in iCloud).
To keep your photos permanently, import them to your computer while they are still in your camera roll, as explained here:http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. To save photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll so they can be imported too.

In VB how do I pass my low and high limit results from a TestStand Step into the ResultList and how do I retrieve them from the same?

I am retrieving high and low limits from step results in VB code that looks something like this:

Immediately after this is where I try to put the limits into the results list:

I can get the step name, I can get the status, but I can't get the limits. The "if" statement above which checks for "limits" never becomes true, because, apparently the limit results never made it to the results array.
So, my question again is how can I pass the low and high limit results to the results list, and how can I retrieve the same from the results list?

Hmmmm...
I use this feature all the time and it works for me. The only real
difference between the code you posted and what I do is that I don't
retrieve a property object for each TestStand object, instead I pass the
entire sequence context (of the process model) then retrieve a property
object for the entire sequence context and use the full TestStand object
path to reference sub-properties. For example, to access a step's
ResultList property called "foo" I would use the path:
"Locals.ResultList[0].TS.SequenceCall.ResultList[].Foo"
My guess is the problem has something to do with the object from which
you're retrieving the property object and/or the path used to obtain
sub-properties from the object. You should be able to break-point in the
TestStand sequence editor immediately after the test step in question
executes, then see the extra results in the step's ResultList using the
context viewer.
For example, see the attached sequence file. The first step adds the extra
result "Step.Limits" as "Limits", the second step is a Numeric Limit (which
will have the step property of "Limits") test and the third step pops up a
dialog if the Limits property is found in the Numeric Limit test's
ResultList. In the Sequence Editor, try executing with the first step
enalbled then again with the first step skipped and breakpoint on the third
step. Use the context viewer to observe where the Limits property is added.
That might help you narrow in on how to specify the property path to
retrieve the value.
If in your code, you see the extra results in the context viewer, then the
problem lies in how you're trying to retrieve the property. If the extra
results aren't there, then something is wrong in how you're specifying them,
most likely a problem with the AddExtraResult call itself.
One other thing to check... its hard to tell from the code you posted... but
make sure you're calling AddExtraResult on the correct execution object and
that you're calling AddExtraResult ~before~ executing the step you want the
result to show up for. Another programmer here made the mistake of assuming
he could call AddExtraResult ~after~ the step executed and TestStand would
"back fill" previously executed steps. Thats not the case. Also, another
mistake he made was expecting the extra results to appear for steps that did
not contain the original step properties. For example, a string comparison
step doesn't have a "Step.Limits.High" property, so if this property is
called out explicitly in AddExtraResult, then the extra result won't appear
in the string comparison's ResultList entry. Thats why you should simply
specify "Step.Limits" to AddExtraResul so the Limits container (whose
contents vary depending on the step type) will get copied to the ResultList
regardless of the step type.
I call AddExtraResult at the beginning of my process model, not in a UI
message handler, so there may be some gotcha from calling it that way. If
all else fails, try adding the AddExtraResult near the beginning of your
process model and see if the extra results appear in each step's ResultList.

You can retrieve the result parameter from the method defining the Task.
Just double click on the task number and you will be taken to the "Standard Task: Change" screen.
Here Look out for a Small binding symbol in the Object Method cluster.
Click on the binding symbol and do the necessary binding to get the result from the method to the Task containers.
And subsequently, u can do the binding betweent the task containers and the workflow containers.

Here is a post I assembled for another with a similar problem:
Unfortunately you got caught up in the minor miracle of Rosetta. Originally licensed by Apple when it migrated from the PowerPC CPU platform that it had used from the mid-1990's until the Intel CPU platform in 2006, Rosetta allowed Mac users to continue to use their library of PPC software transparently in emulation.
However, Apple's license to continue to use this technology expired with new releases of OS X commencing with Lion (and now Mountain Lion). While educational efforts have been made over the last 6 years, the fact is that Rosetta was SO successful that many users were caught unaware UNTIL they upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion.
Workarounds:
1. If your Mac will support it, restore OS X Snow Leopard;
2. If your Mac will support it, partition your hard drive or add an external hard drive and install Snow Leopard into it and use the "dual-boot" method to choose between your PPC software or Lion/Mt. Lion;
3. Upgrade to an Intel compatible versions of your software, or find alternatives that will open your data files;
3. Install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels:

NOTE: STEP ONE of the instructions must currently be completed on a Snow Leopard or Lion Mac and the resulting modified Snow Leopard.cdr install file can then be moved over to your Mountain Lion Mac for completion of the remaining steps.
NOTE 2: Computer games with complex, 3D or fast motion graphics make not work well or at all in virtualization.

I'm trying to write a query against OEM grid tables to come up with the result to show all scheduled backup jobs, in OEM grid, there is a table sysman.mgmt_job_schedule, one of the column DAYS is defined as TYPE SYSMAN.MGMT_JOB_INT_ARRAY AS VARRAY(5000) OF INTEGER,
if I do select days from mgmt_job_schedule, it returns something like (2,3,4,5,,,,,,...), I want to retrieve the digits and translate them into Monday-Sunday in combination of other columns, but I'm new in varray, I don't know how can I retrieve the values in sqlplus, can you guys help me on that, My query is as follows, I got all the jobs I wanted already, just need to interpret on which day (week day) it is scheduled.
