The hard way is to print out the document, sign it, then scan it to a PDF, and finally email it back.
The easy way is to first scan in your signature. Then you can open a received document, paste in your signature, and return it via email.
In my case I made several signatures on a blank sheet of paper, scanned in the sheet, then used Graphic Converter to select the best exemplar and saved it to a separate file as a JPEG image. When I receive emailed documents requiring a signature I have them sent as PDFs. I then use a third-party application, PDFPenPro, to edit the PDF and to paste in my signature. I save the edited PDF and return it via email. -

Thanks.It can be accessed through Preview in Yosemite also. You can go to Tools -> Annotate -> Signature -> Manage Signature, to create new signature or edit the existing one.

Follow the below procedure for editing your document after signing it:
1. Open the File in Acrobat
2. Right Click on the signature field and choose 'Clear Signature'
3. Go to tools pane on the right side of the window then choose 'Edit' Under Forms Drop Down Menu.
4. Right Click on the signature field and choose delete.
5. Click 'Close Form editing' and then you can make necessary changes and resign your pdf (If you want to).

How can I apply page watermarks to digitally signed documents
When printing a digitally signed PDF I need to apply a watermark across each page that states the hardcopy is an uncontrolled version of the document. I understand how to allow updates to specific form fields after the document has been signed, but cannot find a way to allow the application, removal, or modification of page level watermarks after the document has been signed.
I do not want to invalidate the digital signature when applying a watermark.
The use case is when a user prints a hardcopy of a digitally signed SOP, a watermark needs to be placed on the page that states the hardcopy is an un-controlled document, the print date, and an expiration date.
I realize that any change to a digitally signed document is normally considered to be an operation that invalidates the signatures. However, it is possible to specify fields that may be changed AFTER the signatures are applied without invalidating the signature. I am looking for the same capablity with watermarks. -

A 'pen and ink' signature drawn using the comment tools is just a graphic, anyone can copy and reuse it. A commercially-issued digital ID used in a signing/certifying process is verifiable and cannot be extracted from the PDF, nor can the PDF be altered without breaking the signature. Self-signed IDs created in Acrobat cannot be extracted, but have no external validity - anyone could fake one.
