How do I sync my new Sony Ericsson K850i?
I've plugged in the USB cable, followed all the instructions, but iSync cant find the device! Have I wasted my money?
You need an iSync Plugin to use the K850i with iSync - it is not natively supported. (Only the phones listed here are currently.)

Note that you will need to use Bluetooth to sync the phone, not the USB cable.

If you synced it many times, you have to have a backup. It's just a question of how old that backup is now. When did you last sync?
First of all launch iTunes on your computer and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices. Do you see any backups for you iPad in that window? If so, how new is the newest backup? That will be the backup that you will want to use. But remember that if you use that backup and it is one month old, you can only restore from that date back in time. Anything that you did on the iPad in the past month will not be in that backup.
Turn on the new iPad Minin and start activating OTA via WiFi. You will get to a certain point in the process where you will be given the choice to Set up as new, Restore from iCloud - or Restore from iTunes. You will want to select Restore from iTunes.
That is the short and sweet version. There are step by step instructions in this article. This applies to the mini as well as the iPad 4 or the iPad 3 for that matter.

it basically says you have to erase your iphone to sync to a new itunes!
Correct Iphone will sync, or manually manage, with one and only one computer/library at a time. Syncing, or manually managing, to another will indeed erase the current content. -

Unfortunately, the AirPort Utility application in the Lion and Mountain Lion operating systems, which is used to configure the new Time Capsule does not support the older versions of the products that you have.
Even if it did, there are no settings on the older AirPorts to "Extend a wireless network", so they are not compatible with the new Time Capsule if you intend to extend the network only using wireless connections.
If you have the ability to connect each AirPort to the Time Capsule using a permanent wired Ethernet cable connection, it might be possible to use a complicated workaround to install an older version of AirPort Utility to configure the older AirPorts to work with the new Time Capsule.
If you have another Mac there that is using the Leopard or Snow Leoapard operating system, things would likely be simpler. I have not done this type of procedure to mix a new Time Capsule with older AirPorts, so I would not be able to say whether this would work or not. -

I knew my old computer was giving up on me so I was trying to back up my iTunes on my old HP computer on an external drive...but I was too late! It crashed before I could back it up somewhere else. The good thing is that I was able to sync my phone first and synce my whole iTunes library on to my phone..but now I can't figure out how to get my iTunes on my new Mac to sync to my phone vs. syncing my phone to iTunes? I was able to of course download all the stuff I purchased on iTunes but can't seem to get all the other music I uploaded from CD's to my new iTunes on my new Mac. I haven't been able to update my phone in sooooo long time because I'm afraid to "sync" my new iTunes and loose all the songs on my iPhone that weren't purchased through iTunes. Does that make sense? Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your phone. Only if you back up manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your device without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPhone for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.

I have a very extensive bookmark system already in place with the old sync. I just got a new laptop and need all of those bookmarks to transfer and sync to the new laptop. The website tells me that it doesn't recognize my account name, and I don't want to lose all my old information. I am scared that the procedure they mention if you have an old account, will not sync my bookmarks. How should I proceed?
Note that you have to update ALL of your devices to use Firefox 29 in order to use the new Sync. Once you update your Sync account to the new version using the [[How to update to the new Firefox Sync]] link then your bookmarks ,etc will be transferred over.
Thank you Ed for putting that in. It's always recommended to back up all of your personal information e.g. bookmarks, passwords in case something goes wrong. -
The story is, I had my desktop and android tablet synced, with a significant amount of bookmarks in the desktop PC. Then my desktop hard drive was reformatted and Win XP reinstalled.
I had not taken note of the recovery key previously (nor backed up the firefox profile), thinking that I would just easily sync the "new" desktop back to the existing account.
I can see the synced bookmarks in my tablet (but associated to the now nonexistent desktop).
I just can't find a way of retrieving the sync key or recovery key from the android tablet, to be able to join the "new" desktop to the same account.
Anyone have any idea of how to do it?
I've seen references to an add-on that would show the key but it doesn't work with the current firefox version (19)
An alternative would be to export the bookmarks from the tablet, but I couldn't find how to do it either. The option to export is not there on the android version.
Thanks in advance!I've tried, but it requires me to enter a Recovery Key and I can't find a way to retrieve that from the android tablet.
