How do I troubleshoot a site to site vpn connection?

I have a site to site vpn connection setup to a client site that functions fine except for 2 ip addresses on the client are not responding.
They insist the problem is at our end but I don't know how to troubleshoot it. The access rules are there for both the problematic IP addresses exactly the same as all the others which work fine.
The connection is over port 21.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the fault?
Thanks
Graham

  • How to Configure an Cisco 5505 for PPTP VPN connectivity

I currently have a Cisco ASA 5505(ASA Version 8.2(1), and ASDM gui version 6.2) and a Windows 2008 R2 server with one NIC card. Currently the router is connected to the interent sucessfully using the 'outside' interface(devices connected to the 'inside' interface have access to the internet and are assigned IP addresses via DHCP on the Windows 2008 Server which is also connected to the 'inside' interface) When connected with a client on the inside interface I can establish a VPN connection with the W2008 server, however when I try to connect through the internet I cannot. I have tried researching this on the internet, but have not had much luck. I know it has something to do with pptp port and allowing gre, but I am not familiar enough with configuring Cisco devices or the language they use, to configure this router. I feel as though I am missing something small but very critical. Any help or feedback you can provide regarding this issue is most appreicated, thank you.
*Edit: I have attached a network diagram of what I am trying to accomplish, and I have also attached a dump of the current running-config.

    Hi,
Below is the link to the admin guide for the RV042.  Chapter 9 covers the configuration of site to site VPN’s and begins on page 123.

If you need further assistance please feel free to contact Cisco Small Business for help in configuring and troubleshooting your VPN.
    Thank you,

  • How can I troubleshoot - extreme 802.11ac does not connect to Xfinity Arris WBM750 modem?

Installed airport extremem per instructions and all went well - I got a solid green light.  My modem has five green lights - one flasing which is how it always looked with the old router.  My network preferences show that I have a working internet connection.  I have not set up a WiFI network yet.  I think I should be able to connect to the internet with a wired computer, but I can't.  The airport utility shows a green air port with a yellow internet connection.  However, my modem is solid green.  I have rebooted everything twice, and I know the cable is good because it works fine with the old modem.

    Just a bit more detail.
What mode is the AE setup for, bridge or dhcp+nat? Shoud be the later.
I have rebooted everything twice, and I know the cable is good because it works fine with the old modem.
What old modem is that? Do you mean router?
One simple thing if the modem is cable.. pure modem.. (edit.. just checked the model and it is), you need to shut off for 20min at least when you change routers? It takes that long for the ISP equipment to forget the MAC address of the device that it was allocated to. Sometimes it can be longer.. or you might even need to ring the ISP and ask them to reset the connection at their end.
The new AC model does also occasionally have cabling issues.. it is nothing to do with the actual patch cable it is the ethernet ports are not compatible in some way.. but tell us how the above works before we get into too much details.

  • How can I get that 'save open sites' option back?

Before I upgraded to V4.0.1, I could close firefox & it would save the sites that I had open at the time. But now it still asks if I want to close them, but I don't have the option to save them (so that they will open automatically the next time I open firefox). • How to build a Oracle style Web site

    Dear All,
(Not sure whether this question should be this sub-site or not.)
My question is how to build a Oracle style Web site, what technology should be use.
    Example Site: [http://www.orapub.net/ebs/index.htm|http://www.orapub.net/ebs/index.htm]
This web site style is like Oracle Enterprise Manager.
    Thanks a lot

  • How to disconnect ASA 5505 site-to-site VPN via SSL?

    Hi all,
sorry, bit of a newbie so this may be trivial.
We have an ASA 5505 which has two IPSEC site-to-site VPN tunnels. One to another ASA works just fine but the other to a Checkpoint VPN locks up occasionally. I've given up on sorting the actual problem and for now we're logging it out via ASDM where it reconnects and all is fine again.
What I'd like to do is automate this logout using the SSH interface if we detect an issue with the connection. Can anyone point me in the general direction of documentation to do this please?

I would stick with site-to-site vpn instead of Easy VPN NEM (Network Extension Mode) for your setup.
Can you pls share the full config on both HQ and New Facility so we can see if everything has been included in the configuration.
Pls check your NAT statement to see if you have configure NAT exemption for that VoIP network.
HQ should also have crypto ACL that include the VoIP network.
What is the gateway currently configured on your PBX? and what device is that? how is the routing on that device that is set as your PBX default gateway? If you can share a topology diagram that would help too.

  • How to show My Tasks from all sites in site collection

I have a site collection with several sub sites
Each site has multiple lists and on those lists, Publishing workflow is enabled.
For each workflow I have a SharePoint group named "Approver" in which I have added two persons:
    Person1
    Person2
All workflows are setup like this:
    1. In workflow where it asks for Approvers I have given that group name "Approver"
    2. In "Order" I have selected "All at once (parallel)" because I want any one of the approver to approve tasks
    3. Below in "Expand Groups" option I have de-selected the checkbox
The workflow is working fine as it shows pending tasks in Workflow Tasks lists as well as each approver gets an email alert.
    BUT
I am displaying each Workflow Tasks list in each site which is not user friendly. I want to show all pending tasks in a single list to user.
For that I added CQWP but problem is you can filter by "Assigned To = Approver" where approver is group name here as described above. CQWP only accepts USER NAME and not GROUP NAME in "Assigned To" field.
If in step 1 above I give each user name instead of group name "Approver" then unless all users have approved/rejected tasks, workflow doesn't ends which I don't want. I want any one of the user to end workflow by approving/rejecting.
    What should I do now?
    TLDR
If somehow I can filter by user group name in CQWP then my problem will be solved.

Thanks.  It's a very detail-oriented process, tedious if you will. (Which is why I posted, hoping someone doesn't have to spend 3 weeks like I did.)
As far as security trimming it, I think you have to ask yourself how you would security trim info within any web part? Unfortunately, I don't think it's very straightforward to do.
My best guess would be to solve with jQuery / JavaScript.  So, you would have a webpart to display the content, then code to determine what CAN be displayed, I don't see how you could do both without creating a custom webpart via VS.

  • How do I get my Old iWeb Sites off my External HD (1 Domain file) and onto my new internal HD?

I justrecently had to replace my internal HD on my iMac. Before doing it, I backed up my 2 iWeb Sites (the Domain File) onto my external HD.
Now I have a new Internal HD on my iMac.
When I open my domain file located on my external HD, iWeb opens. Now I'd like to save the file back onto my internal HD.
How do I save my 2 web sites that I now see on the left back onto my internal HD. (When I click on "File", "Save", it just saves it again on the external HD, because it's reading the file from the external HD?)
    Thanks....
    Brian

You need to copy the domain.sites file from the external hard drive into your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder on the new hard drive. If there is no iWeb folder in the Applicaiton Support folder create one.
Be sure it's your home library that you're working in.

  • How do YOU organize pages, create a site map, and use hyperlinks?

I had to get out of bed to bring this up with you all; I couldn't stop thinking about this next learning curve. It is: How shall I organize the topics I have in my website? One extreme is to have all of the topics showing in all of the nav bars at the top of all the pages. The opposite extreme is ............ I cannot truly visualize it.
I think that the big obstacle for me is that i don't want to hide any pages so well, so slickly, that they can be found only by the most focused and persistent website visitor. I can see how some pages could be lost to a lot of casual website viewers.
On the other hand, there are some pages that are natural groups. In my case, the U.B.R.O.L. group is that. It is made up of five people and me. I have one page for a photo slideshow which has one photo of each of us, but then I have a separate page for Nigel and his photos, a separate page for Vali and her long bio and photos, and a separate page for Helen, her short bio and her many photos.
Tonight I tried making hierarchies using hyperlinks, so that U.B.R.O.L. shows up in the Site Menu, but Nigel, Vali, Helen, and Peggy do not show up. To get to their photos, one would have to click onto the U.B.R.O.L. group page. Once at the U.B.R.O.L. page, one can then click onto Vali's, Nigel's, and Helen's page, and then from each of their pages there are 3 hyperlinks: one to return to U.B.R.O.L., and three more hyperlinks to click onto the others who have personal pages. (Peggy does not have a personal page because she is shy and never gave me more photos or a bio of herself. She prefers anonymity.)
But even though I put those hyperlinks on those pages, I am having an internal concept war, my friends, and a solution is not at hand.
I am thinking of how I am going to deal with the pages made for me, my husband, and my husband and I together.
I cannot imagine clearly how a Site Menu would look at the topmost level and much less of an idea how each page would look several levels down.
I welcome any direction you could send my way. I would like to know how you organized your pages, how you decided which pages would not be listed in the nav bar, and what you did to/with the pages that were not listed in the nav bar.
Would you please send me the URL of your website so that I can SEE what you are talking about? I am not good at imagining what people say; I have to see it rather than imagine it.
    Lorna in Southern California

Lorna, mostly from reading books, Iearned the following things.
•Don't make me think (actually the title of an excellent book on webdesign)
•Every information should be available in at most 3 clicks
•Tell them where they are, where they can go and where they have been.
IMHO, iWeb lends itself fairly well for these last 2 criteria. The Navbar is a very useful tool and I suggest you do not go too far away from it.
On my current issue of the toy theatre magazine (which is NOT a beautiful website) I wanted to go in 3 languages; English, German and Dutch. I knew i was courting disaster but one can be so ambitious. This in fact meant that I had to do 3 sites. Sites being defined as a group of pages structurally belonging to each other.
So I made an Index/Splash page with a nice picture, a title and 3 flags. These being links to the 3 versions. (I did not want to make them think on the Splashpage).
Clicking a flag brings the visitor to a Contents page on their version of the site. Just like the Contents page in a book. Here they can choose to go to any of the items and on each and every page of the site is a Contents button that returns them there.
Pages are numbered in the middle of the website, and to the leftside the number of (and link to) the previous page and to the right the same for the next page.
The current issue is number 25, ( http://www.vischmarktpapierentheater ), the previous 24 were done in Freeway and the design stems from there.
The translation to iWeb did work well but in the end the result was disappointing mostly because I wanted some slideshows, hated the "None .Mac accounts" version and went overboard with Keynote slideshows, really ugly.
The other problem stems from the triple language idea. This meant that I had to do either 3 versions of each slideshow, or make one version accessible for every language. This menat some convoluted linking which I will never do again.
In short If you want to go "deep", make various sites and link each starting page to you Index/Splash, keep the starting pages of each site on the Navbar Make a Contents sidebar or something like that on each of the starting pages, and than you can go anywhere within the required 3 clicks.
    Good Luck

How to set security group as primary site collection admin and secondary site collection admin using powershell in sharepoint online site - office 365?

    Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to set security group as admin of primary and secondary site collection using PowerShell command in office 365.
I suggest you can use the command below to set the group to site owner, then it will have the site collection admin permission.
Set-SPOSite -Identity https://contoso.sharepoint.com/sites/site1 -Owner [email protected] -NoWait

    Hi,
To my understanding you should be able to attach the same cryptomap to the other "outside" interface or perhaps alternatively create a new crypto map that you attach only to your new "outside" interface.
Also I think you will probably need to route the remote peer ip of the VPN connection towards the gateway IP address of that new "outside" and also the remote network found behind the VPN connection.
If you attempt to use VPN Client connection instead of L2L VPN connection with the new "outside" interface then you will run into routing problems as naturally you can have 2 default routes active at the sametime (default route would be required on the new "outside" interface if VPN Client was used since you DONT KNOW where the VPN Clients are connecting to your ASA)
    Hope this helps

  • How to work with an EXISTING wordpress site in side DW CS5 (yahoo hosted)

Have and existing  Wordpress site that is hosted by Yahoo.  Recently upgraded to  Dreamweaver CS5. Was really excited about working with my Wordpress  files inside of DW CS5 with all of it's new capabilities, bells and  wistles.  I can't seem to get it set up right.
Is Dreamweaver CS5 ABLE to display existing wordpress sites with dynamic content? And can anyone please help me figure out how.
I have been thru several lynda.com video tutorials including:
Dreamweaver CS5 and Wordpress 3 by Joseph Lowery (over the last month)
Dreamweaver CS5 with PHP and MySQL by David Gassner (over the last month)
PHP with MySQL essetial training by Kevin Skoglund (about a year ago when trying to learn php)
Self-hosting a Wordpress site (about a year ago when I set up the site)
I have also been scouring this forum and the web trying to find the answer to what seems to be a very common problem.
    Using Mac OSX 10.6.6
    MAMP
    Dreamweaver CS5
    Wordpress 3
    Yahoo web hosting
Everything works fine with the exercise files but as soon as I try my existing site files it gives me one of several errors
cannot establish a connection to the database
I set up my site thur the DW site manager with the
Local Site Folder set to: /applications/MAMP/htdocs/nate
    server set to:
    name: testing
    connection using: local/network
    server folder:  /applications/MAMP/htdocs/nate
    web url: http://localhost/nate
under the advanced tab i have set the server model to: php mysql
and have the testing box checked in the site set up dialog box
I also set a remote server:
    name: remote
    connect using: ftp
    ftp address: ftp.MY_SITE_NAME.com
    username: myusername@MY_SITE_NAME.com
    password:  mypassword
under the advanced tab i have the server model set to: php mysql
and have the remote box checked in the site set up dialog box
when tested connection was made.  I also downloaded all of my site files using this connections (it took hours).
I installed MAMP and set the ports to the defauls (80, 3306) host: localhost username: root password: root
If i change the database settings in the wordpress wp-config.php file  to: localhost, root, root it works and displays my page as I would  expect in live view or browser but without the main content area or  posts - displays a 404 error where the content should beI have exported my wp database and imported back into my local testing server thru phpmyadmin.
I have also gotten this error at various tries in the set ups: "dynamically-related files could not be resolved because of an internal server error"
I am currently getting this error: "Dynamically related files could not be resolved because the site definition is not correct for this server"
It is not asking me if I want to save files to the server when I hit live view.
Everything  works fine with the lynda.com exercise files and with the generic wordpress files.  I can open any page -  live view or view in browser  - can access and modify the imported  database thur dreamweaver and phpmyadmin. I am only having these problems with my existing site files. I have done the complete set up at least 5 times from scratch going thru the videos and various tutorials step by step.  I dont want to use the starter files that come with wordpress installations I want to use my highly modified pages/themes/database

DW does not work with a WP installation that has anything other than the default (numeric) permalinks. Apparently no-one ever tested this case during the development and prerelease phase, which is a shame, because very few WP installations use default permalinks. It's a point that Joseph Lowery doesn't touch in his tutorial, and of course the tutorial WP installation works perfectly.
Hope that helps, although it may disappoint (as it did me, and a lot of other folks). Here's hoping this is addressed in a dot release.
